Lowell Heritage State Park

I used this facility a number of times in August and September. Plenty of parking and room to maneuver. It has a wide 2-lane ramp and the dock is in great shape with good quality rub rails to protect you.It would help if the ramp was a little steeper. It takes a few throws to get my boat off the trailer. Not a huge deal - just an observation.Nice place. I recommend it.

Its nice place to do your morning or afternoon walks its clean good to go and relax after a long day of work

I loved the Canal Boat Tour. It made me love the City of Lowell even more. The Tour Guide was very nice and knowledgeable.

Nice place for walking, ice cream and a Dunkin donuts close. Great place for a picnic with public beach access. Also great to fish.

Very nice park, next to highway but nice place to go to escape residential areas of Lowell. Next to an ice cream place too, which is convenient.

You can walk near the river but it is very crowded in warm days. It can be hard to find a parking. It is right near a busy road; so I dont think it is the best place to relax.

Peaceful place to walk. Easily accessible. Clean. Nice surroundings.

I like coming here for walks and family time. Do recommend. Just dont buy anything from the restaurants nearby, they are to expensive.

Tons of grass areas. Swimming when the beach is clean. Track to run on, beautiful river view of the bridges and waterfall. Ice cream and food across the street and public bathrooms.

This is my all season favorite place. This place is Beautiful and Peaceful. The summer is more pleasent here. The fall is also beautiful here. A great place for walking/ running in the summer. Pet friendly place, People come here for dog walking and fishing, picnic etc. The walkway is clean and well maintained. During summer lots of cultural activities happening here Motorcycle shows, Music event, Concert, Combodian water festival, African Festival, Indian cultural Festival, Kinetic Sculpture Race etc.

Its a great place to jog, spend time with family, but while they prohibit alcohol consumption, they allow people to smoke whatever they want, and you and your family have to inhale all those carcinogens, including your babies!!!

River water smelled clean, no lifeguards to halt any fun, temperature was great in the rain. Beach sand was clean and kids loved digging in it.

Its peaceful beautiful and a good place to get a piece of mind.

Great place to run, walk, picnic, read books, enjoy the water.It needs a lot more trash cans all around it, and it needs more care by the city and its citizens.

Its a berry relaxing place I like it.

Riverwalk is nice lined with trees and lamp post lighting. Benchs placed along walkway to sit and take in the view. Lots of people always around with large grassy area and pavilion providing music venues. Ice cream stand/restraunt across street sponsers music series and also Monday night car shows. Many events happening throughout the week. Small beach for swimming. Boat launch is closed. Parking in lots is sparse, most park on road.

Quiet parking on the Merrimack River. Would be 5 stars if they had trash cans.

Great place for a walk or bring the kids to ride their bikes or scooter.

Safe place for walking & beautiful views of the river and safe from not being struck by vehicles as it is a paved path better than a sidewalk

Nice clearing to take a dip in the river. Unguarded beach was unkempt, but bathrooms were open and clean.

Great place for a little rest with the family and some BBQ. Definitely worth coming here in the summer to watch sunsets and walk around. Ever since moving to Lowell this has been one of my favorite places to come arohnd, and alot of people seem to share this opinion

In pre-Revolutionary America, English kept its cloth manufacturing processes a highly guarded secret. A man by the name of Lowell, however, visited the English factories, memorized how the machinery operated, and then duplicated the machinery in America. The community in which this occurred was named Lowell in his honor. Powered by an elaborate system of canals and the work of mill girls, Lowell thrived. The story and the monumental effort to reconstruct/reuse these factories makes for a wonderful experience you should experience.

Great place for a morning walk

They are, however, best known for their beautiful geese who reside there. Now youre not supposed to feed them bread, but who listens to that? The geese come right up to you (if youre feeding them) but be careful- some may nip if you put your hand in too far!I definitely highly recommend this park! Also, theres plenty of parking.

Nice walk while eating an ice cream

This was an enlightening visit. We always hear of the horrors of working conditions for early industrial revolution workers. But this mill museum in Lowell, MA shed new light for me. I had no idea that there was a positive side to life in the mills for young women in the late 1800s. In fact, the women in Lowell helped initiate the movement for womens rights. There was a wonderful docent in the weaving room. And the noise level in that room was a revelation. (They provide ear plugs) You can even buy fabric woven on the antique machines in the gift shop. Parking is close by.

Nice quiet place to take a break from the hustling during work.The river view is superb.

Beautiful place to walk or run. Great green surrounding. Peaceful with the seren Merrimack river flowing gently. You can raft on the river.

Nice place for a daily walk, late afternoons get busy, but people are respectful of others. A good place to experience Lowells diversity!

Very nice waterfront, river views & pathways. We visited for a dance show on the stage and brought chairs, it was great scenery for the show.

Come here hang out smoke a blunt soak up the sun Heritage ice creams right across the street just be cool smoking a blunt remember there our people down here with children respect they do allow alcohol in the picnic areas only not on the beach or sand the area come on down I can feel my legs burning as Im dictating LOL

I been seen the changes around here for many years i came here in 1968 an EVERYTHING do have change a lot, but i did like it better back on the days and thats the real TRUTH.

A wonderful place to learn the history of Lowell Massachusetts, The city of Bells. Guided tours of the Textile museum Boat rides, And train rides.fun.

So many nice people to meet. Great tours, lots of great history. Check the city website to know the schedule of events.

There is so much history here. Overall the scenery is beautiful. Just dont stare into the water for too long. Throughout the year, events from cultures all over the world take place right here. So much work has been done to the area. There has also been severe flooding here through the years. Lots and lots of flooding. But after each flood, the area just comes together better than before and rebuilds.

Clean. Walked my dogs here and there is plenty of people enjoying the park. Walking groups, runners other dog lovers. Plenty of parking. Just be aware that there is a ton of goose poop on the beach!!! My dog rolled in it

Perfect place for a nice family walk, you’ll see people running or bike riding as-well.

I love having a nice place to unwind with the river there. Theres so many people walking and tons of dog walkers for people and pet watching. Even though the street is right there I never really am bothered by it, the sound of the river kinda drowns out a alot of that traffic noise.

This is a great ramp, WHEN OPEN!Doesnt open until memorial day, even though weather is great and many boaters in area looking to get in river weeks before.
