It took about 40 minutes to get the tour and info on each species of raptor. They are very knowledgeable. They got out 4 different owls for us to see up close. The whole family loved the experience.
Tour is exemplary! Our guide is knowledgeable about each bird and thier unique survival story . Educational delight .
Great folks doing great things.
A very young Coopers Hawk crash landed on my porch last night.I took her to Raptor Rehab and we were welcomed with opened arms.I was lucky enough to get a little education on the beautiful bird I was helping plus a short tour of the facility.Spotless cages, clean lab, roomy areas for the birds, friendly people...I could not ask for anything more!I felt so sorry for the poor young bird who banked in the wrong direction and nailed my front glass door instead of her prey....now she has a chance thanks to these wonderful, knowledgeable people.I have high hopes I can release Hennrietta Hawk back where she belongs before long.
Dropped off an injured bird for care.
I can feel the birdlove. The staff here really loves these magnificent birds of prey. Thank you for helping to preserve them for future generations
Great people taking care of wonderful birds
The work these people do is amazing and very commendable. They rehabilitate injured wild birds, and nurse them back to health. The set up is amazing, and they always have time to give tours of the property.
Very very awesome place with great people!! I took a turkey vulture to them and they allowed my daughter and I to stay whole they treated and examined him!!! Once he was cared for they allowed us to see the other birds that are not able to return to the wild or those that are babies being raised by their permanent residents at the facility! They told me I could call and check on the bird I brought them at anytime and that they would contact me once hes ready to be re-released to the wild so I could attend if my daughter and I wanted to!
This was a great experience. My sister and I volunteered to help spread gravel in the cages. We got to experience and see raptors that the general public doesnt get to see.
I started volunteering here four weeks ago and I love it!
If youre anywhere in the state of Kentucky you need to drive and visit this wonderful place and meet the wonderful staff that volunteer here.I cant even begin to tell you how much of a good time my fiance and I had while visiting.
Were thrilled to support such an amazing facility! Thank you for helping and saving so many beautiful creatures!
