Absolutely love that we still have such an amazing extreme skate park in Louisville. No better place to get your children outdoors and staying active, learning new skills like balance, coordination and safety. Ive visited the past 3 or 4 weekends (in the mornings) and believe Ive seen more middle age folks with their young children still trying to thrash....or really just trying not to crash, than I have teens. It truly is one of the better kept secrets of Louisvilles efforts to appeal to a vast group of diverse residents within our community.
Good spot. Mornings are great to take kids and those who are just learning. Afternoons on weekends, and daily weeknights get a little more crowded with more people who are faster and better skilled. If my kids are skating or biking, I let them ride consciously and respectfully. When they are on scooters, they ride faster and are less aware of their surroundings, so I only let them ride when the park is less crowded, so they dont get in the way of others. There is not really a good shade spot to stay out of the sun.Bathroom is enter at your own risk.
The skate park is so fun I would really recommend it if your looking for a place.to skate. I have so much fun there. the people there are really nice and chill. 10/10
The community here is amazing and this is one of the best skate parks Ive been to in Kentucky. There are options for every skill level.
This skatepark was HUGE. I loved it because there were features for all abilities. I would definitely go back. The area seems pretty shady and there is a lot of trash around the park.
This a great place to bring kids who want to ride skates, skateboards, scooters and bikes. There are lots of ramps and half piles to gain experience on. Everyone is friendly and willing to help each other and answer questions.
Beautiful park, very well designed and quality built. Friendly skaters and spectators. However, the city needs to do something to remove graffiti.
This place has been amazing for 20 years now, cheap entertainment for sure.
Love this park. I skate here it’s better than I thought it would be
Really fun place to skate. There are so many bowls from small to massive and everybodys so friendly. This will definently be a place I would keep going to.
Its a grate place to learn how to skate and I did have a fall but i still loved it and I only fell because Im learning to ride on the sides
It is sick if you like vert
One of the top extreme skateparks in the country, and its open 24/7 for the community with no admission. I dont even skate or bike but i love to watch the awesome people who do! I spent 3 years of my life at this park doing my grad homework while my son skated at all hours day and night and i loved it then and love it now. You gotta hand it to Louisville for providing this and for all the other cool waterfront park activities that keep folks physically active. Most communities criminalize skateboarders, but not Louisville! In fact, this version of the park is an updated one from their original which was also super awesome! Go Louisville!
I love to hang out here. Free and fun
I skated here and it was a perfect experince things to do for all kinds of skaters i love it
This is hands down one of the finest extreme parks in the United States of America. Whether you ride a skateboard, bmx bike, inline skates, or even scooters youll have plenty to ride here. The park was renovated about 4 or 5 years ago, and now there is an entire street section that is really fun. They also have a newer halfpipe (not sure of the exact height but its large) that is in great condition. Then there is the main park itself, containing several bowls, a full pipe, boxes, rails, steps, and everything you could want out of a skatepark. 100The park is also valuable for its intangible aspects. Despite being close to downtown and often seeing a couple of drifters and addicts use its facilities to sleep or relax, there isnt much bad stuff actually happening around there in regards to the people actually going there to skate and use the grounds for its purpose. I have personally made many friends there, and its great to see how this park is keeping a lot of at risk individuals involved in sport and away from other vices that may have harmed them in the past. The skater community here looks out for one another, and I have never once felt unsafe in this skatepark. It is really crucial that we have these free community resources that actually do a lot more good than people realize. Now, I just hope we can draw more recognizable competitions to our park to help create more of a buzz around the sport of skateboarding. Great job to the city of Louisville.
My kids love it
Recommend helmet. But awesome place been here like maybe 8 times and i live in Nashville
I love the Park! Im excitied they allowed them to do murals on the main wall. Its beautiful.
Great park it’s huge!
Place has really gone down hill since I was here 15 years ago. Clearly not maintained anymore. Whole place looks like a scene out of Robocop. I remember the day it opened, so beautiful and clean and now it looks like it belongs in Detroit. I see a lot of new stuff to skate on which is cool but sad its the dump it is now. 5 stars for nostalgia.
Really nice park. Plenty of places to skate. Good for both beginners and advanced skaters.
Love it! Still as fun as it was when it first opened!
Good place to skateboard or bike!
Amazing skatepark for beginners and advanced riders just an overall great park
This is an amazing skate park! You have many different obstacles to do learn and do tricks on. You have massive pools, vert ramp, snake run bowl, manual pads, ledges and much more. Go check it out!
Incredible park, not too busy
Great place to skate and look at the graffiti mural built by the people of the city. Wish I had came down that day to make a tag on that place, full of great memories :)
Great place. Atmosphere was good.
The city of louisville has done an awesome job on this free 24 hour concrete skatepark. it is very fun and there are obstacles for every skill level.
Great size and variety of features for skating, scootering, and other fun
Good fun place to hang out. It just looks bad
Always free, and full of friendly folk
The X-treme Park at Clay and Witherspoon Streets is a fantastic outing for anyone that can ride a bicycle, skateboard, scooter, unicycle, hoverboard and/or any device that rolls on wheels!!all ages and skill levels are encouraged to take off, and be careful while maneuvering through what is a nationally recognized top ten X-treme sports facility. Most of the riders here are experienced and do an exceptional job of avoiding the younger, less experienced ones.only a couple negatives, like the graffiti and unpleasant comments spray painted around the park but not enough to deter a family from returning and having a whole new type of fun.Trash was strewn all around the perimeter but the riding surface and interior were surprisingly well maintained and clear of any debris.over all this is a must experience activity that is sure to be enjoyed by all.Or bring a chair and just watch the experienced riders.Oh, and its all FREE!!!
Good day hang out spot. Cant wait to take my son
Alot of variety and space. Great for all level of skaters, biker, roller bladers etc.
Really nice place
Amazing Place
Such an amazing skatepark!! The place is huge with a lot of transition skating capabilities as well as the massive full pipe which is so huge in person
Pretty cool, theres a good amount of people there not too crowded..
Great place alot less shady than when I went to it before.
Excellent skate park. It can be busy, but weve been plenty of times when there was plenty of room everyone to spread out.
I am rating the park not surroundings. The park looks great for bikes, skates, boards, and more. There were even kids under 10 yrs old with their scooters. There is tons of graffiti and a few homeless people hanging out when we were there but the park itself has much to offer.
Skate park is pretty gnar especially the newer updates. Late night seshs are chill..dude that lives in the bathroom was cool. Doesnt smell like piss as bad as it used to. If your a female skater use buddy system at night...gets a little rapey down there after dark
Greatest park of all time
Great for some skating. Easy to record others doing great tricks!
Very nice skate park. A large verity and well maintained. Like new, well built steel frame 12 foot half pipe.
To much graphed.
Large outdoor skatepark with lots of options for all types of sports!!
Amazing place to skate. Iconic, and super urban downtown feel, a little ghetto but thats how it rolls
Lots of people
Wow!!! Louisvile, you should be so proud. I have skated parks all over the world and this is truly one of the best. A huge full-size half pipe, flowy street sections with a variety of boxes and rails, bowls from small to big and friendly locals too. Fantastic. Worth making the trip to Louisville.
Best free skatepark in the USA
Growing up, this was the place to be. Recent renovations are great!
Impressed that we have this here. No complaints at all. Hoping everyone who uses it will do their best to keep it a little cleaner.
It is really good has a big half pipe but not good quarters
Definitely a great a community, couldnt think of any other place someone would want to skate at. Everyone is nice and there is some nice graffiti.
Dope skating park
Great park my kids really enjoyed it! There could be a few less cigarette butts in the skate pools but other then that it was fairly clean very well laid out glad to have it in Louisville.
Fantastic skate park for intermediate and advanced users. As a beginner this is probably a bit intimidating and there are no mini ramps so good luck learning to drop in here since you will have to do it in bowls. The park itself is not kept in the best condition since people dont appreciate how rare it is to have such a great park so they litter everywhere but that is not the fault of the park itself.
Great skate park!
Nice surprise in the middle of Louisville. Lots of variety in the ramps and slopes, everything flows together well. Some of the artwork left by others isnt up to Louisvilles high standards for graffiti, so I am looking forward to more skilled taggers and mural artists to leave their mark.
Had a blast here on our rented bikes and electric scooter.
Massive skatepark. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Lit up at night with huge lights. Usually always someone there.
Great place.
Dont get me wrong its a good skatepark but the problem is that there too much trash and Graffiti everywhere. Also, the people are not clean. Its a shame because it used to be a awesome park
Very nice skatepark very big lots of room and the 2 times weve been its not been crowded
It is great, cant wait to go back!
Came in from the bay area California and was very impressed with this park
The best extreme Park Ive ever seen. Bring a helmet
This place is incredible. So much space to skate.
Best park inKentucky, Ive been riding there for years and never had any trouble
Best skatepark in the country.
Nice place! First time here and I filmed a couple buddies.
My son loves it but I liked it better before the expressway cut it off
Huge and awesome
I am thankful louisville knows the value of having a nice skate park. World class
Crazy stuff happens here near midnight. I dropped in and almost lost my legs to a pipebomb from some youngsters.
Thank you Louisville. 24 hours! Love it. Dont forget to mention BMX. BMX lives matter. Its this type of city thinking that makes our city special, and cutting edge. The new redesign is fantastic, plus it gives Louisville youth culture and adults too, a great place to ride.
Had a great time till some heroin junky started yelling at me...
Best skateboard park East of the Mississippi river.
MONSTER VERT!!! Louisville has the best skate parks!!!
Great skate park. More for the hardcore skater. Local skate shop HOME SKATE SHOP is a great place to visit as well
Party spot
Took my 8yr old daughter here to skate. Plenty of room for her to skate without worrying about others. Bathrooms were a mess when we visited. Sadly homeless people were living in them and you would be better off leaving to go to the bathroom.
Wasnt crowded and everybody was laid back and just doing their own thing
You must stop if in Louisville...this park is great for kids too....big enough that everyone can have their own space.
This is an AMAZING bmx/inline/scooter/skateboarding park. The best Ive ever been to in the country in my opinion. A must visit for anyone to use or even just to watch the amazing tricks
Memorial to my son Cody is nice
