Went for my daughters birthday. Very clean and nice employees.

My daughter and I had a blast here today. They play all the newest music and some throwback stuff for the adults. Different games and a pretty nice snack bar are there also. Its very traditional, but it has a ton of seating. TVs are in the eating area so people can watch the games also.

I havent been to Champs in about seven years but I have very happy memories from there because they used to host Hite Elementary School Roller parties. Ive recently moved out of Kentucky and I 100% miss it so much. Any Hite graduates?

They do a great job with activities for the kids. The music, food, trinkets to buy. We enjoyed our day there a lot. I do wish the floor ramped down to the rink in spots to make the transition on and off easier for the kids.

Theyve spruced the place up! New carpet and refinished the tables (I think). Masks required but still had fun.

Its been remodeled and looks AMAZING!! Its so clean. They take temps at the door and have someone walking around cleaning everything continuously. And all the staff are in masks too.

I have been skating here since I was young and I love being able to take my kids here for the same experience. Its been several years since Ive been and was able to take my daughter skating for the first time yesterday. Its great to see that things are the same and the staff are still friendly and helpful. I love the experience of skating here and signed up for the kids skate free program on their website. Thanks for being a Louisville institution!

Great family fun!

Fun little place to go skating and enjoy pizza! They have music very loud inside, sometimes fog and strobing lights. There is an arcade and little light up shop. Skates can be rented for a reasonable price, and the staff are always happy to help. There are skating handles for beginners.

Had my granddaughters 15th birthday party there everyone had a great time, staff was helpful. And not bad for about $16 per person..*The skating shark was a good addition to the Baby shark music..THANKS!!

Great Louisville establishment, but for the life of me I cant figure out why they havent updated the inside? It looks the same as the 90s and the seating, flooring and walls have not faired that well. I would love to see Champs renovated.

Champs was amazing fun for everybody. We had our 8 year old Granddaughters bday party there. I especially liked the skates for toddlers. They were boot like, secure, and stabilized the kids skating on them. The staff were also friendly and fun. I highly recommend this Champs.

Not what it use to be! Songs were outdated, definitely need a Spotify account or something on Billboard 2019 not 2008. Also the bathrooms are covered in urine and smells.

This is really like going back in time! Awesome place and part of the kidsskatefree program, sign up a week before you plan to visit.

Went for a school night. Skates reasonably priced food high as to be expected at any place like this. Employees were fun and having a ball with all the kids! Great place.

Nice to skate somewhere that has wood floor and not concrete. Nice staff and clean building. Will be back.

I thought id try a different ring out tonight. I now regret my decition. Champs is where its at! Friendly people. Staff has control of the ring. Its always a safe environment for my kids. Its clean as you can expect from a place like this. Back to Champs for me next weekend, Im not messing with the disrespectful thugs at S.W. again.

Still as hip as when I went in the 90s. Same music too.In all honesty they are awesome with thg kids and its a safe fun place.

We had my twins’ birthday party here today and it was perfect! I booked online and paid the small fee to have the party invitations mailed to me to save a trip. It was so easy to just show up and the room was totally ready! Each place setting was ready for our guests and the pizza was hot and ready when we were! The party attendants were so accommodating and helpful. They checked on us several times for refills and made sure we had everything needed. All of our guests had a fun time skating and it was a laid back, easy party to enjoy as the “party mom”. I didn’t have to worry about a single detail. We will definitely be back for another bday! (And probably a bunch of public skates because my kids are hooked now!)

My son had a fabulous time along with his 6th grade fellas from the DePaul School!!

I went there for a friends birthday party. It was is a little hard but I absolutely loved it.

Good time to hangout with kids. Tip: join kids skate free to get free entrance during Friday Saturday and Sunday. Remember skate rental is 3$. Skate trainer rental 3.25$ per hour in addition.

It was very fun, although there were many little kids who got in the way and I would have to swerve and fall to avoid them. Definitely excited to come here again. For the most part it is very beginner friendly and they do offer those training strollers. The food and drinks were good, the music was good, and the workers were absolutely lovely! Overall a great experience.

Absolutely my favorite place of all time. Its cheap, fun and is good for families. I am 12, and I go with my friends along with my family. I would recommend this for birthday parties as well.

They have recently updated some of the interior, and it looks very nice.

I like this place for many reasons.. the staff are friendly.. Holly by far makes the experience great for beginner skaters. I like they have skate trainers for the kids. It is a nice wooden floor, clean, crisp and cool so no one gets too hot. They have food and open seating making getting on and off the skate floor easy.The only downfall: the MUSIC!!! I understand that high school kids come here but the music is mainly R&B/Trap Rap. Which dont get me wrong.. some is good but honestly I dont want my young kids skating to rap about sex, getting high etc. I think that if whoever does the music would take a look in the crowd and see very small children and families then play older, family friendly music. As the night progresses.. make the music a little more mature but honestly be careful because the parents being the business and pay for it.. so please I beg you management.. take this into consideration. My husband and I always have Togo to the Dzj booth to tell them to watch what they play because its even too much for me and I grew up listening to rap.If management can get a hold on the music then I would say nothing poor about this place.

It was a really nice environment! All ages welcomed. About every 30 min. to an hour they stop skating for advanced skaters or games and dances. One big thing I can say about this establishment is that they do Not rent roller blades if that is what you are used to skating w/bring them with you, because they only have regular skates. Also, bring q little extra cash to get something to drink because you will build up a sweat.

Run down placethey need to invest some profit back into it. also only skate place Ive ever been to that didnt offer roller blades. I couldnt even skate with my kid.

I used to work at the Champs that was at Mid City Mall. This a family owned business that has been around since I was a kid. Great owners and staff. Prices pretty cheap.

I grew up skating at Champs and I still love it there. Employees are always nice and they always play a nice selection of music.

My kids had fun. This place is rundown. I used to come as a kid. It doesnt look like theyve lifted a finger as far as maintenance/upkeep/ updates. The floor wasnt so nice. Bathrooms were dirty and poorly functioning.

Love rollerskating. Booths, carpet and skate floor could use a little TLC.

They need way more skate trainers. You pay to come and skate and if your kid cannot skate yet and they do not have any trainers then youve wasted your money

Great place to take the kids over the Summer. Kids can skate free (minus the cost of skate) during the weekends when they sign up online. Cant beat that as an easy summer activity. The DJ is pretty great for kids as well

Pretty good place. Crowd is usually reasonable, facilities are kept clean, not very expensive. Good place to spend a couple hours doing something healthy.

Building not well maintained, leaking ceiling, booths from the 80s that are dirty and torn. Also had staff members flying around the floor nearly knocking customers over. Its nice to still have a roller skating rink available but I expected a lot more after spending $40 for 3 people to skate.

Rink floor is well kept. Staff are generally friendly. Relatively clean for a roller rink. Water fountain perpetually non-functional.

First off ITS HOT IN THERE! Second biggest complaint would have to be the skate trainers. It should only be for small children or adults who ACTUALLY NEED THEM! My boyfriend was almost mowed over by a child just swinging it around. Or they just stop in front of you and leave them. The attendants on the floor don’t seem to really care about much as one guy (I believe Dalton was his name) literally almost ran into me 3 times. Cool guy just didn’t seem to care about his surroundings. Prices are reasonable and I like its more of an old time feel but some air and the trainers being actually used by those who need them would make me come back.

Very clean and everyone had a great time! Only suggestion would be to have times for beginners, my kids are new to skating and some experienced skaters were going too fast and almost knocked my kids down.

The owner and staff are always so nice to us. We just love them. For real!

Staff is very nice and helpful if you dont know how to skate. The DJ helps keep the fast skaters under control to keep the kids safe

They have roller skating and such. As well as host birthday parties. They have a decent amount of arcade machines.

We always have so much fun here and the staff is awesome!

Champs is a clean, safe, environment for family fun. Me and the family skated and ate for under fifty bucks. The floor is level and smoothe.The music is trendy but kid friendly. They also have a small arcade area to break up the monotony. I loved it.

It was a fun skate down memory lane. But a decade has taken more of a toll than Id like to admit. Same fun safe place I remember from my childhood. Cha cha now yall.

I went in to look at skates to buy for my daughter for Christmas. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. I placed an order for the exact skates I wanted and they should be in within about a week.

The staff are very helpful and encouraging to my children. The skating facility is very safe and well maintained. Awesome bang for the buck.

Straight out of the 80s. Needs updating, but maybe thats the charm theyre going for. The Derby City Roller Girls rock, and theyre the main draw for the place as far as I can tell. I wish the owner would let them have more home games there.

This is the last roller dome I know of in East Louisville! So much fun!

Great fun for the kids, and if you skate a little bit, the adults too. At the moment their skating floor needs a little tlc - some of it is getting refinished and is blocked by cones - otherwise 5 stars.

Kids have their school skating parties here. Its really fun for kids and adults both. The place looks like it hasnt changed since 1985, which I like, gives it a nostalgic feel. Honestly I would have my own birthday party here.

Awesome skating rink, they have skate trainers which makes it WAY more fun for the younger children. My 3 year old skated ALL night. It was so fun and we drive all the way across town just to go to this one because they have the skate trainers.

My son’s school always has there skating parties here and the kids love it. The staff has always been wonderful and very helpful. My only complaints are that the concessions are very over priced, and sometimes there music choices are questionable.

Disappointed. A ceiling tile fell down in the middle of the rink and water came rushing onto the floor while skating. There is a large patch covering a good portion of the rink that has not been finished yet. You cannot wear headphones and listen to music while skating due to an incident where there was a power outage and someone skating had on earbuds & sunglasses and took out some skaters because he couldnt see or hear. Between power outages, ceilings collapsing, water leaks (it wasnt raining outside) and patched flooring, it seems time to shut down and revamp

Not a beautiful place or anything, but enjoyable. Looks exactly like it did 30 years ago.

Not the best DJ, they would be better off using a Google Play playlist. Only one genre was played. I wish it was more family friendly, they played unedited versions of songs. A cup of water is fifty cents and you have to spend a minimum of five dollars to use a debit card. I did like the kid assisting skate devices and the skate floor was decent.

Place needs to be updated you can tell it’s not modern but has a great snack shack and lights and fog machine while roller skating. there are employees to help you on the ramp. there are also canes on wheels to help you move around and it holds you up.

Out dated music & poor customer service..

Came for a nieces birthday party. Do not book a party. Disorganized and staff is rude. My daughter and I have gone many times for skating with school and always had a nice time.I was sadly disappointed for the party. They had 45 minutes for pizza, presents, and cake. They delivered pizza late the soft drinks did not have ice and the guy who was the party organizer was rude! I guess his job was to come in and say you have 10 minutes and you need to leave! I said something to manager and was told that he is their nicest employee. Not sure how to feel about that! So be ware if you book a birthday party!!

If you love the smell of funky feet and burnt popcorn, look no further. The décor hasnt changed in decades and I wouldnt have it any other way. It looks exactly the way it did when I was a kid and my kids cant get enough of it. Its the perfect place to take your kids young and old on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Now if I could just nail down my jam skating technique...

Very family friendly. Great place to get some exercise. Been skating all my life (44). One of the best rinks Ive found. Easily the best in Louisville.

This place is in desperate need of a remodel... or at the very least a very deep scrub.

70 bucks for a family of four for three hours, and that’s with no food or drinks. It should have been 50 but it’s 3.50 each hour to rent the pcv pipe skate trainer for each child; this was really classless in my opinion. It started out ok but soon enough there were teenagers acting up and kids that were dropped off and obviously not old enough to be unsupervised. The rental skates are really low quality and no longer in great shape, kind of a theme around the whole place honestly.

Busy place. Do not seem to have rentals for toddlers. Great entertainment for kids above 5. Or if you have your own gear for your toddler, YES!

Great for kids. Some of the arcade games are down and Ive never had the food or been to the bathrooms but the dj is always good and everything is clean.

The skate floor is nice, but the rest of the place is filthy, I really didnt feel comfortable touching anything. I was also disappointed in the cost, you get charged for every little thing, we went for a bday party and they charged us $3 additional for a trainer, after an hour they make you return it and get back in a queue to get another. This issue with that not only is the cost kinda high for a couple pieces of pvc tubing, but my kid couldnt skate for the second half of a 2 hour party, most of the kids were just sitting there for an hour waiting on more trainers... I wouldnt pay to have a party here
