Don’t like the boomers here. They just sit and stare. It’s an asian thing but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t make others uncomfortable.

A great playground with fun things to do for kids. The play structure has challenging sections and easier sections. My kids enjoyed it. There is a shaded area for parents to wait with lots of seating. I could only find street parking. But we parked there and walked to our favorite shop east/west. And then had dinner in the same plaza.

New and improved asphalt court with LA Clippers sponsored hoops. Even on a wet rainy day, you can still play on the court. The court texture is very smooth and sticky. You wont get hurt by slipping or falling down. Your sneakers will last longer too.

A nice, shady, fairly quiet park tucked into the back streets of Chinatown. There are a couple schools adjacent and a temple nearby. The park has an indoor gym and plenty of grass outdoors for children to play. The basketball courts are constantly in use by local kids throughout the day into the evening. Older people frequently inhabit the tables at the upper end near the courts, playing Chinese chess. An excellent family park in good condition and clean.

An amazing park and has been around for years. Public bathroom is messy but no different from any other public park. Children play area has recently been remodeled and modernized. 3 Basketball courts and an indoor court is available to the public also when not being used by a local team. Decent size grassy area is also here. Overall, nice safe park to bring family to.

For an older L.A. Dept of Rec & Parks, this place us well run. All Dept R&P public restrooms are best avoided if possible. This one has antique stainless steel, institutional ones like in old b&w prison movies. No playing field for field sports, but a good selection if other classes at reasonable prices. The paid after school program is in high demand even with the local Lausd being free. The piano and the new International Dance classes areof high quality. It is a favorite hang out for the local senior citizens.

Accessible and affordable space for low-key nonprofit and community events. There are these ole school kung fu dudes teaching at-risk youths how to defend themselves. Very cool to watch. I visited once and the bathroom was in poor condition. Not much lighting inside. Too industrial to be considered as a hip venue.

The County folks do not do enough to keep this rec center up and running. For the number of local residents who use this place, they really need to invest more resources in to not only repairs for equipment and rooms, but also funds for keeping the lights on longer.
