This is one of the most family friendly park you will find within Los Angeles. I dropped my twelve year old son off to sign up for the LA Galaxy youth program but since he was too old he joined the Houston Astro youth baseball program instead which I didnt know was a thing. I dont blame him since playing soccer is suspect anyways. Sometimes him and his friends take their bikes late night to patrol the set for skirts which I assume is some weird new generation lingo for talking to girls.
A PARK TO PLAY SOCCER. I AM IN MY 3RD SEASON OF SOCCER AND IT HAS BEEN GREAT. A COACH I RECOMMEND IS COACH SAVION UDEH. HE IS A GREAT COACH FOR U. THE PICTURES ARE FROM MY 1ST SEASON, SO BEAR WITH IT.
The soccer and baseball fields are great and very well maintained. The downfall to this is there is a bunch of homeless people all around the center/Park. There needs to be some place patrolling, I was there for about 2 hours and did not see one patrol car or even security.
Great place love the workers there always friendly
Henboll perfect... My brothers
Need more light at the parking lot and around the park
Has as a baseball field from and dontaed from The Dodger Team and a soccer field as well from and donated from the Galaxys Team beside it great but still need some improvements and over events as well.
This review is not based on the park employees but it is a reflection on how safe I felt at this park. My son played baseball on diamond #1. First, there is a mini homeless community. There were wholes in the fence were they can come and go as they please. One whole led to what I was told, were they could get drugs. Oh I forgot to mention that there was a guy with a knife who was going after another guy because he stole his bike. There is no reason why children should play near stuff like this. I couldnt enjoy the game because I felt completely unsafe. Something needs to be done!
Could be a great place if the neighborhood will help take care of their neighborhood
It eh!! nice baseball field. They have a soccer court that looks cool, never seen one like that, but then again I dont like soccer. The jungle gym is decent.
It was great(not a bot)-bot number #-242565
My kids have participated in after school activities, teen club, and sports activities for 3 years at this park
Its ok. I love the area so quiet and pretty.
I love Algin Sutton Recreation Center they have an after-school childcare program there, they pick your child up from their School location they take them back to the center they assist them with homework reading homework projects after the child finishes that they have games they have basketball they have cooking classes for the students, dance classes table games and they serve them snacks and the cost is only $25 a week its an outstanding program to me. there are some unsavory members around the park area at times However the sheriff and the police do Patrol and the children are kept in a safe environment inside of the recreation center or they may walk them down to the gym so that they can play basketball and the children are highly supervised highly supervised. I love Elgin Sutton Recreation Center for my children. Miss Deanna, Miss Sheka, Miss Lily, Ms. Kandyce, Mr Eric and Miss Coco. Not to mention their assistants, young people that are there to assist your students with homework, fun and games and cooking. I love it.
Its great just when the soccer players get heated it can get intense and it hard to keep safety measures when there is no Cops to protect and serve
Low cost classes for children
It was safe, and the SNL program is great.
I was there for an extremely inspiring and moving event - the dedication of the 50th Dodger Dreamfield which was created in partnership with the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. Everyone was rightly proud of their accomplishment - they have built 50 Dodger Dreamfields in 15 years in underserved locations throughout Los Angeles, and they are having a direct positive impact on the lives of thousands of young people, and have gone the extra mile to make sure that girls are involved and that there is access for those with special needs. Its really an amazing good news story - on top of that, they announced that they will be building 25 more dreamfields - I cant remember by when, but its the year of the 75th anniversary of the Dodgers move to Los Angeles. Everyone associated with this project is to be commended and has my gratitude for the good work you are doing and I wish only for your continued success in providing these kids with a safe place to learn how to play honorably and treat each other with respect. Fantastic!!
Good reslly good Soccer field .. and play ground.
My son plays soccer up here for his second year and the prices that they have for year-round Sports you cant beat them the cheapest Ive ever seen and the program is ran very well and very organized
I cant believe what the bathrooms looked like. There were feces on top of the toilet, dirty baby diapers on the floor, clogged up sink and toilets.. Do better!!
Nice park to go and relax. Gang members be over there too
Good for thicc kids
I like that it has sports playing fields and mature trees for shade. However, drinking fountains dont dispense enough water and I saw a pool that should be open to the public, why is it closed? Anyway the park could use some City funding for minor improvements..
Its close by its also clean its a family-friendly Park
Grandkids love Park

Good place to hang out with the family. Aslo a soccer field and a playground for the kids

Family oriented activities and sports.Community meetings held once a month for participants of nearby residential areas.
The park itself is decent, though plagued by semi homeless encampment, and some unsavory visitors.
Great park
Not a good park for kids, their is always people smoking weed and drinking liquor and homeless people being beaten.
I play at this park awesome sign up for baseball
Little rough area, nice programs for kids...be careful
Nice family park
Best way to take out ur stress by playing soccer
Friendly neighborhood and perfect for jogging
The playground literally burned down, its only a three star because of all of the memories of me and my father before he passed, I also got jumped there, but thats not the parks fault
