Wonderful theater to catch a play or performance. I wish they would fix it up and maintain it a bit more. They could also improve the parking situation.

This old history is stunning.. came to see a performance here a few days ago.. the sound, the scenery - just stunning. Plenty of parking pace across the street and next to (both sides of the gorgeous building).. they should have a concession stand INSIDE the theater.. not just outside..

This is an excellent place to capture the Spanish design influences of 1920s here in the heart of Los Angeles: Large arches leading into open spaces of charmed aged oak flooring. Perfect Windows adorn with real character and the floors ideal for slipping and sliding across. This is a gem for the old a new residents to know. I was there for a wedding. It was perfect. The out door space took my imagination to another time period.

An absolutely stunning building with great history and architecture. I attended a tour of the whole place put on by the Los Angeles Conservancy and it was a real treat to see the building. Each big room has its own character, but they are all beautiful. I would be thrilled to be married there.

It was pretty crowded on a Thursday night! There are limited seats. The ambiance is dark and tiki themed which is cute! Its a little too dark inside for my liking though. They have a lot of themed drinks. I dont like their paper straws though because they get soggy.

We went here to hear about voting and the ballot and process. It was quite informative. Met a lot of great people. Interesting to get a tutorial on voting.

Old charming theater feeling. Plenty of parking on site and street. Uncomfortable seats. Very little leg room. Hard to see the stage. Your view is restricted by the people in front of you. I like it better for stand up comedy, a play or speakers. But the theater does not have the best acoustics suited for music. It is a beautiful theater though.

It was a great evening full of energy and inspiration! I met female artists, talked with them directly, and learned new artwork techniques such as using bees wax, gold leaf, monotype, different use for acrylic, different collage techniques, and more! My 3 favourites were “Nancy Phillip’s artworks with bee wax(They kept me for a long time in front and every look gave me a new question about the work, absolutely new and wow), Lunaria Annua’s monotypes(those were new and amazing), and Anni Clavel’s watercolour(I am familiar with the technique, but her work looked like a photography, or computer design)! If I was not there, I never learned all those above! Thank you Ebells, and Women Painters West, and who made it happen. Thank you for that great event!

We had a great wedding event there and the place was perfect for it. The garden provided a welcoming space for the guests and the locations for dancing, dinner and game room allowed for guests to wander and enjoy the different things to do at the reception. The place had good acoustics for music. The chef did a marvelous job at creating traditional ethnic dishes. We had a great experience.

Gorgeous and super convenient. The multiple rooms means your wedding, cocktail hour and reception can all happen in one place. As a guest at a wedding, it made it a lot easier to enjoy the celebration since I didnt have to worry about rushing to get to another venue.

Historical landmark with a very rich history of events from music, theatre, dance and culture. It is a must see for those who love architecture and interior design. You may walk around and snap as many photos of outside of building, but to see inside, you must make an appointment, or even better, attend an event or show here. Intimate setting. Available for use for weddings, still photography, filming and other events.

My 2nd year attending Alexandria Houses Women Speak with my Longshore co-workers, Union Women In Solidarity & Women for Trades Alliance @The Ebell of Los Angeles, the perfect venue. Listening to Senator Elena Durozo tell her inspiring story was a reminder of what can be gained despite humble beginnings. The Ebell is always so lovely and the food was wonderful. It was all for a worthy cause to support Alexandria House - the shelter for women and children, survivors of abuse and homelessness. Looking forward to next year.

Needs better food. A lot of dishes were not allergy friendly. Too many dishes with mushroom, no pasta dishes and appetizers were also not allergy friendly. Bread was hard to chew. I realize whomever rents venue chooses their food, but they should make better recommendations to customers.

The Ebell has a large lot across the street to meet all of your event parking needs. The various rooms at the Ebell and garden can provide the perfect setting for your event. During the tasting event that I attended, experienced the Art Salon, Dining Room, and Lounge. Of all the the three rooms, the Dining Room was the most spectacular due to the high ceilings and columns.

I have to agree with the review from Sommer. Everything she wrote was on point. Everything plus more has happen to my cousin that Sommer has written. And dont get me started with their manger Anessa. She is soo unprofessional and rude. She has NO customer service skills what so ever. She even waved her finger in my cousin face and kept saying I just dont understand why you dont understand. Like she was some child. This venue has done nothing for my cousin and her wedding on making it a joyful experience. This venue has caused nothing but a headache and many countless tears. Im just praying her wedding goes smoothly and they dont cause more problems. I would hate to see my cousin crying on her wedding day because of ebells and not happy tears from her happy wedding day experience. BE BEWARE WHEN HAVING YOUR WEDDDING HERE. Make sure read the contact and dont take there word for anything. Make sure it is in writing. If I can give them 0 stars I would.
