I had a nice time seeing Lady Day At Emersons Bar & Grill. Lani Robertson sang as if she was Billie Holiday. She was so believable in her performance of Billie Holidays journey some of the audience jumped when she pretended to fall off the chair before catching her self. I even surprised myself to sit through a 90min show w/one 10min. break. I guess its a more comfortable without all the seats being filled.

Wonderful show for the Black ReBirth Collective event. I was seated about 7 rows from stage towards the center. Great audio and visual performance. Good sound, good lighting and very entertaining.

Very nice venue and very intimate seating! There is not a bad seat in the house! A balcony that has a great view of the stage!A great place to watch live Theatre!

I saw a taping of a soon to be Netflix special here and the atmosphere was amazing! Every comic delivered and made my night. Definitely consider coming back here in the near future. Also on my way out of the theater I had the privilege of meeting one of my heroes as I got to meet the Legendary Wanda Sykes herself!!! I had even made her an acronym as a thank you to her for always making me laugh and telling great jokes. Very nice person just like she is on camera. I told her how her work has helped me preserve through dark times and I couldnt thank her anymore. Such a pleasure meeting her.

It is a small very intimate theater. There really isnt a bad seat on the main level. The balcony is small. We didnt eat there so not sure about the food. Easy access to the freeway. However the parking SUCKS!!! If you attend an event, be prepared for no lot parking and all street parking to be gone. We had to park almost 3 blocks away and walk to our cars after midnight in not the best area. Plan accordingly

A beautiful venue, excellent sound and lighting, and the performance of Amira Medunjanin and Bojan Zulfikarpašić is something you must see in life if you like to have your faith in life restored.

Love this venue. Wonderful place to see a play a musical or just visit. If you want to experience the arts this is a great place to start. Beautiful sculptures on display. As you pass by the entrance there are puppets on display. I believe by the sane artist that did the sculptures. They highlight the work of black artists. I have been many times and have never been disappointed. Please show them your support and love. Our community needs this positive influence.

Went to a Tiffany Haddish Netflix special filming here. It was very nice and comfortable. Id come back here. I parked in the neighborhood and it wasnt bad. There isnt a ton of parking though or a large lot.

Love this community venue! Great theater space for screenings, plays and forums.

The venue itself is intimate. There are good sightlines with no obstructions. I was seated on the second level and there are no restrooms on that level. The other issue that may not have anything to do with the venue itself is that the concession stand was only open for one of the two shows happening that evening.

Great shows and seating. And the price is right!

Lightning could be better and better access for handicap persons. No ushers were available to assist with seating.

Dorian Holley Whats Going On concert was amazing!

A nice little jewel in the mid city area of LA. Saw an ICEF school production of Bring it on here. All seating have excellent views!! Arrive early, parking is very limited

The Billie Holiday play was phenomenal.

We had a wonderful experience for the second time at Nate Holden Performing Arts.Weve been there twice for the Tribute to Luther Vandros starring Terry Steele. Terry has an incredible voice and puts on an inspiring, romantic and visually beautiful performance. He wrote the song Here and Now for Vandros who won a Grammy for it. Terry is also at other venues around town and is worth more than the price of admission. The Nate Holden Performing Arts venue is sound perfection and comfy seating. They have a snack bar and serve beer or wine and sodas. Great for a date night destination.

Topnotch, great facilities, comfortable and adequate. I am excited about my next visit.

This is my second time here enjoying another production performance. I love the area but parking is very limited.

This is a wonderful venue and there is plenty of parking. Street parking is available, watch and READ the posted signs. There are also 2 free lots that are available for patrons. Be prepared to walk a few blocks, but its well worth the stroll.

Went to see Tiffany Haddish comedy show .. was very funny the theater was snall so you can see from anywhere it had a bar to buy drinks clean, the parking wasnt to great its in a residential area so we parked down the street. But i would attend another show there .

Love this place, Actor Wren Brown has managed to rejuvenate this historical theatre. I had the pleasure of witnessing an Evening with Mr Dorian Holly, giving a brilliant evening Tribute to Mr Marvin Gaye. Hes doing a 3rd show & I plan on sending more of my friends. Its a beautiful theatre & the sound of Dorians Supporting male Amgels were amazing too. A must see, must visit, must love.

Comfortable venue street parking is a little light side streets off Washington are best. This time they had an after event party in a large room off the lobby.

I was there for a concert the theatre was pretty nice..comfortable chairs..we had to park 2 blocks down at a parking lot but that was my only complaint

My wife and I saw The Gospel at Colonus last Saturday night. It was terrific, especially the music. Google Maps inaccurately states that the venue is permanently closed, and that is wrong. Las Saturday night was the second time we were there. Google needs to get their act together.

Ive performed there several times. The acoustics are dope. The stage is good, and it seats people comfortably.
