You can easily spend the better part of the day here.On this trip I saw the IMAX movie about superhero dogs. This IMAX is the real deal. The screen is 3 to 4 stories high, sound is exceptional and the stadium seating is steep.I also visited the California African American Museum. What a treasure and admission is free! Six separate rooms with diverse installations sculpture and hanging art; all beautifully displayed.

I rarely see films while on vacation; Id rather be out exploring my surroundings. In August of 2012, I was lured into submission with a screening of a 70MM print of Alford Hitchcocks, Vertigo (one of my all time favorite films).Earlier in evening, wed been out celebrating our anniversary in the Mission, and walked over to the theatre to purchase tickets for the film. When the guys at the door found out it was our anniversary, they comped our tickets! What a sweet surprise

Theres a freaking boba guys at this IMAX - California Science Center and somehow it isnt more publicized. This hands down makes it the best IMAX - California Science Center in my opinion because I can sip on a matcha latte with oat milk and tapioca while watching awkward in the farewell movie. Life is good.

Great cinema, smallish rooms which are a plus. Comfy seats. Friendly staff. Good size snack bar and service of alcohol. Wide variety of movies, from current releases to specific theme months

Great place to go with children!

Great Imax 3d shows, exhibits, and awesome aquarium, but pricey parking. Way high parking that should be lower or free so people can come after work to relax at their aquarium section.

It is very cool! I highly recommend!

Area and venue is great for all ages and outings. The theater staff and service was better than I expected. Great experience and good food.

Now this is an IMAX. 5 stars for the location. As a local I know where to park for free. If you see tents...park there. Theyll keep an eye out for you.

Great 3D and Im not really a fan. I just wish the movie was a little longer!

Usually not much of a fan of IMAX as I just get motion sick. Having said that, I seem to do well here. The movies which tie in to the special exhibits make a great combo visit day. Be sure to buy a combination ticket to save some money.

Love it movies are about 40-45 mins long very educational and plus they brought back the Hubble 3D best IMAX movie experience!

We recently visited on a fieldtrip. The theater was very clean and the people very nice.

Awesome theater! We sat on the back in the handicapped area and it was still great seats.

Came to the science center to see the King Tut exhibit. The Imax show really helped my kids understand why Tuts tomb was so important.

Dont expect to watch regular movies in there. Mostly movies related to the science center

Expo Park is a inexpensive get away in the heart of Los Angeles.
