Had a comedy show here last night and it was really fun. This was my 1st time here and I was happy to see the turnout. The only thing missing is a stage for the performers. Its hard to see from the back. They were smart and sold tables online for family groups to sit together and individual tickets at the door. Plus there was parking and a food truck at the entrance.

During such a difficult time it is so hard to find a place where comedians can step up and speak out in the name of humor and healing. Also local businesses had a chance to set up booths and build new relationships with affordable prices but incredible value on specialty handmade products. The comedy show is incredible, but what was even more incredible? Or the price of the drinks, I of course cannot drink alcohol but, I had a chance to spend $30 to buy four people drinks both alcoholic and non-and be able to tip $10 to the very hard-working staff. The comedy show was incredible these brave men and women kept it going and even though it was hard for the audience to settle in at first, the first three comics braved the melancholy response and kept warming up the audience for what would be a truly amazing show.In support of Artists they brought in people to take pictures and conduct interviews to give the comedians something to help build their careers. They always say a price is temporary, but value is forever, and I believe the work that was done at this place creates value for both business, performers, in the audience at large that’s what you call a community it didn’t start here, but it got better by building itself up here here.

Great show. Great comics. There was maybe only one comic that I didnt enjoy but he was pretty out of it... Im guessing that because theyre all comics in CA, their jokes are themed towards their lives (I dont want to give anything away) which are very similar to each other but still VERY funny. I liked the intimate theater and even sat in the front row. My suggestion: arrive right on time and youll still be early.

Came here the other night for drinks. On a Monday night, there was a street parking. By 730 or eight the bar counter was completely filled but the rest of the place was empty. The bartender was really nice and friendly. The music is not so loud that you have to yell so that was nice. Its a simple plain bare bar but youre there to drink.

Let me be honest upfront ...I have never been in this place sober...and my recommendation is that neither should you be! Youll want to be in the right state of mind as you join the wacky, eclectic crowd that end up in the Frolic Room. From the 2013 winner of Germanys mustache competition, to the friendly guy showing off his drunken tramp stamp...keep an open mind and enjoy the sights.

For the money, this club is a cant miss if you are in the city. It was an intimate show with comics that never gave up on delivering humor. Dont worry about printing your tickets. Just provide your name at the door and enjoy the show.

This lounge was really a surprise package! The decor on first level is classy and loungy, and once you head downstairs, its a full on dance floor with a bar and some seating area. We went there on Halloween weekend, there was around 15 minutes wait in the line, $30 cover charge, but once we were in, it was lot of fun. Music downstairs was better than on first level. It did get little stuffy and crowded as the night progressed, so we had to come back up for small air breaks.

The hubby and I decided to have some drinks here before heading up to the Greek and what a great detour it was! Id heard of this place but had never been, but the hubby had been quite a few times and thought Id get a kick out it. He was right--this teeny tiny tiki hut is crammed with an amazing amount of tiki stuff, and its got character with a capital C. We were there fairly early so we managed to score a couple of seats at the bar without a wait. They have a very extensive menu, all variations of rum, pineapple, coconut, etc. Therefore, I cant even remember my drink, even though I took a picture of it. Suffice to say, it was delicious and strong. We each had one cocktail and shared a third, and it was enough to get us all nice happy for a good portion of the evening. Its a quintessential LA experience, if youre into that kind of thing.

Ive been here on many occasions and thoroughly enjoy the scrumptious and innovative cocktails. Last thursday I had the pleasure of meeting the man, the myth, Mr Greg L. in the flesh. He was actually behind the bar, muddling, mixing and getting his hands dirty with the rest of the The Lexington Bar crew. He also turned one of my drinking companions(usually a jim beam chick) on to Pikesville, so well see if she switches it up.

I came here on a Sunday and the DJ was spinning some hip hop, reggaeton, right next to the bar which made it a bit difficult to grab a drink with all the bodies of people dancing smushed together. I will say, the fun part about coming on a Sunday is that its not overly crowded and its a great place to start if youre bar hopping, or looking to have a lowkey kind of night.

Please, just do better. And dont charge $9 for a beer I can get at CVS blocks always for $19$ for a draft beer during happy hour? I was ignored for 15 minutes while sitting at a near empty bar and the bartender told me I was sitting in someone elses seat. I was really looking forward to seeing Cristopher Wonder last night, but left long before he showed up, for obvious reasons..

Upside goes out to customers and spectators. Musicians and other acts hit the downside. The stage is very very crammed in and tight. Leaving not enough room for all the gear and performers. Also, the exit and entrance for both customers and performers are unfortunately through the front door. The hallway from the stage to the door is a tight squeeze.

God help me, Im giving The Lexington a 5 and heres why...This place EXCELS at being a dive bar. Dark? Check. Stiff drinks? Check. Back patio where you can do your green thing if drinking isnt your thing? Check. Stage thats open for bands to play at? Check. Good service from a cute bartender who looks like she could kick your buns back to Baldwin Park if pushed? Check. If youre going to be a mess, be a hot mess. And if youre trying to get your name out in the music scene, this is a good place to start.
