It is kinda expensive, yes. But I think this is a cute aquarium. Yeah its nothing like the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach but the people at this aquarium are so friendly! Which is something the aquarium in Long Beach doesnt have. This aquarium has very knowledgeable people working here and who are more than willing to answer all your questions, they really seem to enjoy their job!

Great tropical fish store. Helpful service and good prices. If you want that exact fish despite it being in a tank full of identical looking and also very fast fish, they will work to get that exact one for you! All my fish and plants from here are thriving! The equipment section is worth checking out. A lot of things you will not find in a big box pet store.

We stayed overnight for a Cub Scout event. My 9 year old son really enjoyed it. The staff is very knowledgeable and really like what they do. We stayed in the jelly fish room--Im telling you, staring at those jellies all night is like being on hallucinogens (not that I would know what those are really like). There is a huge shark and some big sea bass. The octopuses are very cool.

Its well organized and has everything from two touch tanks to two long tunnel aquariums, plus dozens of individual tanks with fascinating wildlife. For a decent tourist attraction, this was a great place to take the kids.

Yo’s has everything! Filter media, hardscaping, live plants, tanks, heaters, and of course lots of healthy, beautiful fish. Salt and freshwater. Yo’s also carries birds and some dog & cat supplies.

This was an awesome experience. Cool to see all of the bay animals. And the staff was really knowledgeable. I loved listening to the worker by the otters about his Australia story where the otters would steal from other enclosures. You can tell when people love what they do.

I purchased a pass to feed the sharks. Jacob the guide was very helpful and informative. I thought the best part was feeding the sharks themselves but the tour he gave around the back was equally enjoyable. Feed the sharks tour was completely worth the money, I would highly recommend it.

We were here on a Friday morning and had an excellent experience. I imagine all the folks who gave negative reviews about the crowds were probably here on weekends. People, places are crowded everywhere on weekends. And this is San Francisco, so dont expect sprawling real estate. I actually think they utilize the space really well across the three floors.

My partner and I are avid​ lovers of ocean life so we make it our mission to go to many of these places as much as we can. Was not disappointed, yes is smaller than most but they have one of the best habitats I have come across where many different species co-exist​ in the same living space so harmoniously​. I have never seen ​these​ other places I have visited. It very well depicted what a natural ocean dwelling would look like.

This aquarium deserves better than 3 stars. It is not huge, but we spent at least 2 hours here (3 adults and an 8 year old) looking at the thousands of fish (and really, how much time can you really spend staring at fish).

The owner is not really friendly but there is an employee who is very nice and help people to select fish. Plus point is the fish are in good conditions and caring.

OK, its not the biggest or best aquarium ever, but its great that so many people who are visiting the otherwise carbon copy shops and restaurants along the piers get a chance to see ocean life. We all need to connect with out oceans more before its too late.

I think an update is warranted, being that I went to visit again this past weekend, nearly 3 years later from my last visit. I still maintain that this is a solid aquarium filled with interesting facts about the bay, beautiful jellyfish displays and oh yeah, a GIANT OCTOPUS (which I somehow missed during my last visit.

Ive also seen the bakery sponsor goodies for animal-welfare events. Theyre not only great at providing treats for your babies, they also support a very good cause! Admirable!

I really enjoyed this Equarium! Seeing other reviews states its small, yes it is a bit small, but i think its beautiful all the fish and sea erchands you see. Its a great place to take family and especially if you have kids theyd really enjoy it and have a good time. They have a petting area too. The tunnels are pretty cool you can see the sharks, stingrays and other fish. I love the pretty star fish. The octopus are beautiful!!definitely recommend if youre in the area!

Came here with a work team for an offsite event, and it was a fun visit. While this aquarium is smaller than others in the area, its a neat experience!

If you are looking for a big, Monterrey Bay Aquarium experience, you are in for some disappoint. As I stated, it has a very small foot print but some great ambiance.

TLDR: Theres parking on site, lots of different tropical and freshwater fish, but no one spoke English and fish almost died as a result. Bring cash.Located in a one way plaza with some parking in the front.Insides, you can tell its definitely a mom and pop shop, but the tanks seem clean and there were a huge variety of fish. I had called earlier, and this was the only place with black ranchus. The owner isnt very attentive, and neither he nor his assistant speak English very well so communication was difficult. Thats usually okay, but we had a hard time pointing out what we wanted. In the end, we just let them pick for us. Noticed that all of the upper tanks had yellow water while other tanks had clear water. We asked the owner if he was using anything, he just aggressively said that he was an experienced fish owner of 30 years and refused to answer the question. Oh, they charge if you use credit card below a certain amount so bring cash if youre not about to drop a lot of money.Fast forward to bringing our fish home. The little guy was a little stressed and he had a tear in his fin. We accounted it to the net as he was taken from the tank and didnt think anything of it. Set him up in a quarentine tank and within 24 hours he had fin rot. We medicated him as best as we could, but after a week, he wasnt getting any better and moved on to fin clamping and had stopped eating. We tried calling the owner to ask what he was using and ask for help, but again the owner refused to answer any of our questions and was unhelpful altogether. Eventually after some fish WebMD search, we found something that worked and after a month of medication, the little guy survived. But who knows if he has kidneys.All in all, the shop isnt bad. Just unhelpful and frustrating to deal with. Wouldnt return unless I was desperately looking for specialty fish.

Sold 2 fish One that had a bladder issue and the other had also a kind of bladder issue in a small tank with no telling that the fish should have a bigger tank so one is barely alive and the other is kind of okay. These ppl need to learn more about the fish they are selling

Great selection of fish, way better than you will find at a petco. Sadly I picked up two fish one time and didnt do enough research on my own on tank conditions they required and they didnt survive. I kind of wish the guy working let me know that unlike most freshwater fish these required much more precise temperatures and such. High minimum with card but fish seem healthy.I dont like that they have so many birds in small cages. Wish they would stick to fish

Owner seems lazy and uncaring about the fish. Not to mention hes such a cheap greedy person wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone the times I have it a shot the fish died sure to fin root they already started to develop from store then I go back k to express my frustrations and I notice that tank is wiped out.

This place went I went I thought it was pretty cool they have a lot of variety of fish. When I was walking around the store a fish caught my eye. I asked for this fish and before I bought it I told him a lot of questions like can it be in a community tank and is it fresh water the basic questions. He told me it was freshwater and that it could live by itself. My mistake was not to search it up on the enternet trusting they were telling the truth. I went home with my fish thinking it was going to live perfectly and then two days passed. And it died I was shocked what could have happened. I looked up the fish online just to find out that everything he said about the fish was wrong. I was super mad. I come back to the store to see what we could do 8 dollar for a fish plus tax is a lot Especially for a kid. He didnt care he just said my water temperature was to low which mine is 78 and the fish I bought can live there. Very dissapointing would not recommend to anyone and if you do but just make sure not to fully trust employees they just want to sell and he money so they make up lies

I bought two goldfish but unfortunately they died the same day because the guy that helped me gave me bad instructions.Went the second day and the owner of the aquarium was nice enough to replace the fish for FREE and gave me good instructions on how to take care of them. The people working there are really nice and respectful, they make sure you leave with a nice attitude about there store. Best aquarium in L.A and the prices are decent.

Yos aquarium has lots of pets from fish two hamsters he is super helpful with all of the information of taking care of a new pet and he is super cheap 2 you can get a new hamster and his cage for 35 bucks

Pretty cool experience here. My mother bought a Beta fish her and unfortunately it died on the sane day she bought it, and brought it back the next day and the Man was nice enough to give her a new one. The beta she has now is healthy, alive, and been with us for about 2-3 months now. Nice selection of critters to check out here! I recommend this place.

Really Bad Experience. I went here with my mother to check out the fish for our aquarium. The selection they had was impressive but the quality of the fish were terrible. Those fish seemed to not have been fed for awhile. Too many fish in one tank and the location is very cramped as well. Betta fish were in poor condition as well. Will not be coming here again

The guy was super rude when I asked him a question about pricing. I bought 4 fish even after his rudeness I put them in my tank after quarantining them and they gave a disease to my fish and killed all of them I lost $400 worth of my fish thanks to this place. I have lost 3 parrot fish, my goldfish’s ( most of you will say why are they kept together my parrot fish was not aggressive )

Overall an unnecessarily rude and unpleasant experience, and on top of it I watched him give TERRIBLE advice to another customer. No thanks.

Decent shop but they sold me a chemical to put in my tank, literally put one drop, and all of my fish died. But they did give me discounts on the replacements.
