Great Picnic area for parties. Nice small playground. Surrounded by a small lake and lots of greenery.

Lots of stuff in this vast park (athletic fields, trails, historic structures, and a scenic rock outcrop).

We really enjoyed sandstone ranch park area. Its a very large space with many soccer fields, covered picnic areas, and some areas for children to play. The downside would be all the soccer games that that go on during the weekends. There are some bike and home trails on the back side that need some exploring but look nice for a quick getaway.

Decent park with playground, fields, and skatepark. When we went, there was lots of broken glass everywhere in the playground area. Hopefully it gets cleaned up soon! Skate park is a little more on the advanced side with large bowls.

City of Longmont parks are always well maintained with clean and stocked restrooms and plenty of great spaces for sports, picnics, and playgrounds.

Great place for the kids to play. Lots of space. The playground offers different areas to explore. Climbers, sandpit, treehouse with slide.

I went geocaching here and it was really pretty, would recommend walking around.

Nice place. Has large restrooms and drinking fountains. Also has lots of parking with plenty of room to pull a large 5th wheel or bumper pull trailer in if needed. Baseball fields looked good and has a decent skate park also.

One of the best parks in the area! Great view of the mountains so sunset visit are impeccable! Lots to do, dog friendly, skate park, soccer fields, baseball fields, volleyball net, and a few pavillions. I love that there are sidewalks and walking paths connecting all of it! Also a lot to do for kids as there are a couple of really cool playgrounds that I wish I grew up on lol the gulch gateway also connects through here

Love riding my bike through this park. Lots to do from ball fields, to a skate park. Somewhere to go where everyone has something to do. Beautiful landscaping personally cared for.

Came here for a walk when my parents were in town. Nice easy loop with a paved trail option to walk farther. Beautiful scenery! Cool historic ranch. The visitor center has weird hours so if you want to go there check the website but the trails are always open. I cant wait to bring my road bike back and utilize the paved trail system!

Really well maintained fields. They could really stand to benefit from opening a concession stand for hospitality. Nevertheless, the seating areas are well maintained and the fields are in good condition. Be careful because foul balls are abundant among the older kids.

Love taking the family here. Especially with the way the world is right now. Perfect spot if youre looking for a place to take the littles if you are trying to social distance. There is a small playground, skatepark, I think theres a trail too, there are large empty fields for sports events and sidewalks connecting everything. Whether your looking to have a picnic or to take a stroll around the park this is a wonderful place to visit.

This is a great place for anything especially now that most have been stuck in the house I will be back again.

Quiet, semi shaded park. Parking lot fills up fast during events but what do you expect for a parking lot? The trail is nice, some loose gravel. The bathrooms are usually clean & functioning. Everything is really well taken care of. Huge pavilion with plenty of electrical outlets. Some grassy areas but if its recently been or is currently being watered youre not supposed to go on it or in the water because its not clean - irrigation water(?) theres signs posted around the park about it - so be aware of that. Otherwise its a great park.

Skatepark is open. Mostly scooter punks though.

This is such a fun adventure for small children, we went on a field trip and explored the grounds. The volunteers are very nice and they had wild life experts there to teach tge kids about the land, nature and history of this area.

Great place, especially with young kids. Ive been to Vail Valley more than 25 times, but had never spent any time in the Front Range. I was very impressed; the view of Longs Peak probably had a lot to do with it.

Large community park with softball and soccer/football fields. Also 3 playgrounds (the silo playground nearest to the highway has a seasonal splash park, skatepark, reservable picnic shelters, walking paths, a couple (small) fishing ponds, and access to the Saint Vrain Greenway. Be sure to check out the sandstone cliff on the south side of the park as well as the actual ranch house which hosts various events during the year. Also note that the west side of park (across from Walmart) where the softball fields are only connects to the rest of the park via footpath - cars most drive around on Hwy 119.

Come for the skate park and open spaces my wife and I love this park great for picnics and walking the dogs . many considerate people use this park so its usually pretty clean and wholesome environment. Some problems with some skate park users but that is unfortunately a part of the skate park scene.

Nice to have fields dedicated to kids as well as a girls softball field. Bad part is everytime I go there I see and smell people smoking. There are clear large signs as you enter stating there is no smoking inside the park. People still smoke and the field managers do nothing. The city needs to hire more competent employees to manage the fields.

Pond just above the soccer fields, is great. A hidden gem. Bring the family for some good times. Its far from the playground, but well worth it.

The city of Longmont takes very good care of its parks! My husband and daughter play soccer here every Sunday with the Longmont Primer Soccer League! it is very nice place to bring your childern to play there is also a skate park and base ball field!

Great place for a short hike!

I love this park! Theres something for kids of All ages (18 months-18 years)! Skate park, splash pad, toddler area, big kids park area... Benches in the shade for parents, Picnic tables with grills & yes, bathrooms too.

Big park many areas...ball fields, soccer fields, play grounds, and a skate park. Kids love this park and lots of parking spaces. There’s also a trail that starts out by the Sandstone Ranch Visitors Center and goes back towards town.

Despite being outside of Longmont, I find a trip to Sandstone--where my recreation is to stroll with my service dog--is worth the time and distance. The size of the property offers such a variety of routes as to accommodate the shortest or longest walk I could want, on terrain from sidewalk to dirt road to groomed gravel trail. Off the beaten path is opportunity to see wildlife large and small. Ive explored every pocket I can and I feel its a beautiful, clean, safe place for people--and dogs--to spend some downtime.

The Adventure Playground & Wheels Park is great, but only if you can find it! Google Maps/GPS is no help.

I dont know if it is facebook or google maps. twice in 4 years I was heading there for a kids birthday party, it wants to take you to 5th & main st. in Longmont instead of this place. little irritating coming from southern Colorado. otherwise, the facility itself is nice and pretty well maintained.

My wife and I love walking the trails here. Its quiet, peaceful and close to Saint Vrain Creek, where you might glimpse wildlife, so be sure to have a camera handy.Above the cliffs is an overlook of the Sandstone Ranch, the Saint Vrain Creek, and the Rocky Mountain range.My wife and I love those cliffs so much, we got married there in 2008, and had the reception in the shade of the big trees beside the ranch.

Nice complex for many sports, specially for so soccer. There are nice outdoor facilities and playground for small kids.
