I 1000000% recommend The Wave Resort to anyone. From the whole staff in the building, Erika & Gabby at the front desk, to the event coordinator, Ryann L, and everyone else was so extremely kind and amazing to work with. I had my wedding there in their event space and every single detail went smoothly. Anything we needed, they made it happen. Ryann especially was so amazing to work with and made my vision come to life. The hotel rooms are dreamy, elegant, and very clean. They even prioritized to have our room cleaned immediately so we could get in it early. Also, the food... the food is BOMB! Highly recommend.They have a hair salon on the first floor called Hot Mess which is a gem. Tara and her whole hair and makeup team took care of me and were the kindest ladies ever.Thank you to everyone at The Wave. I will be back to celebrate many anniversary’s there and always pop in for dinner when we are in town.

Just completed a birthday event hosted at the High Crest Rooftop, and couldn’t get on here quick enough to write a review! Everything was absolutely amazing, from the beautiful views, the space, the food, to the incredible staff (Tiffaney, Ryann - absolutely amazing coordinator, Jen, Jess, and I’m forgetting the other names!)! Everyone was super professional and accommodating, making every detail perfect throughout the day. Could not have picked a better venue for our event, would recommend to anyone!

Very clean rooms. Amazing customer service. We stayed in a Deluxe king suite . And it was perfect, very modern and the bed is so comfy and big ... great for adult actives .They also provide beach lounge chairs and towels for guests .

We had the pleasure of staying at Wave for 3 nights during Labor Day weekend in the Deluxe Junior Suite.I was very nervous about staying here due to the awful reviews regarding staff hospitality. Our stay was the opposite of what people are saying - the staff have been wonderful, friendly, accommodating, and polite. Erica at the front desk is a delight. Check in was smooth, we were able to take out the bicycles without issue, ice delivery to the room was prompt, the beach staff were friendly while efficent, and the cleaning staff was swift and thorough. Im not sure how anyone could say otherwise.The food has been delicious, location is great, covid precautions have been met. If I had to search for a complaint, it would be that the pool was smaller than expected and the TV didnt rotate for ease of viewing in the living space of our room - but thats me searching for an issue.Overall, wave has exceeded my expectations. If it was more affordable, wed be back every weekend. Thanks for a great stay.

Amazing stay/weekend getaway for our family of 3. Room and hotel was immaculately clean, service was top notch. The food at the cafe was great but Ocean 100, the restaurant inside the hotel, is a must!Pool area was kept very clean; the swimup bar was perfect for the adults and the water was shallow enough to not have to worry about little kids.Definitely will come back again soon!!

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! The staff was rude from the second we walked in and kept on making up insanely strict rules and yelling at us. This is considered a high end hotel and there is nothing high end about it at all! They don’t let you use the amenities before and after checkout and they don’t let you use their amenities either which is a complete waste. They locked us out of every room and were constantly coming to yell at us when we did NOTHING wrong. We’ve been to many hotels worldwide and never experienced such horrid service and nasty hospitality. There are a lot of nice hotels in the area, this one is definitely not worth anyone’s time. We will not be coming back.

The Wave hotel was perfect. My boyfriend and I planned this getaway despite some of the negative reviews. We were drawn to the modernness and attractive amenities. I am so glad we gave it a shot. Every employee was kind and friendly from valet, to reception to the spa to guest services. We needed an iron, it was brought up in under 5 minutes. The lobby smelled fresh and clean and the hotel staff was constantly cleaning. The ocean-view room is definitely a must, the beds were comfortable and the shower was amazing. My boyfriend proposed to me on this vacation, he mentioned it to the concierge and I arrived back to a hotel room with rose petals on the floor and bed. We loved The Wave and will definitely be back!

The staff was super nice and accommodating with any request we had going our of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms were spacious, new and clean and the ocean view was amazing.

Absolutely perfect! We’ve been to Long Branch many times over the years, but this was our first time staying at Wave Resort.We were a little skittish with the whole pandemic environment, but this place is immaculate. The rooms, public areas, on the pool deck we saw the staff disinfecting the furniture in between guests use and it really puts your mind at ease.We had quite a few special requests and the front desk team was so friendly and helpful. And the food at their mexican restaurant was spectacular. We didn’t try their other dining options though.It’s definitely not cheap, and I do wish their valet parking option was operating but also understand why it’s not back yet. Can’t wait to return!

I absolutely loved it here i celebrated my 3 year anniversary and it was awesome. Rooms were clean and set up nicely for the occasion I LIVED for the beautiful view of the beach an overall great getaway

Great hotel, pleasant staff and immaculate rooms. Will definitely be staying here again! Room was huge as was the TV and bathroom. Views of the boardwalk and ocean were impeccable, it was an amazing stay! Pictures don’t do it justice.

Front desk staff very pleasant, but the hotel in my opinion was a disappointment.We went for 1 night, mid week and the room had a view of a building under construction.The belcony was full of dust and the windows where so dirty that you could barely see outside.And that night was not cheap.Also construction started at 6 am, drilling and pounding.

Great hotel at great location. Checkin/Checkout was smooth. In room amenities were good. Even minibar was not too expensive. A nice ocean view room made our stay even more awesome. They have I think 3 restaurants at their first floor with varied profiles. A kids room and spa are also present but we didnt use it. Their late checkout costs 200 dollars so dont expect much leeway. I couldnt get a higher floor room but will try for that next time. Looking forward to stay here again.

Had a wonderful time, it was clean staff was very helpful . The view is spectacular, access to beach right out the door . Restaurants are a short stroll down the board walk . The hotel even offered bikes to use ( no charge) . Over all I had a good time

We had the worst experience. The staff was extremely rude and yelled at us for no reason. They treat pets better then children and were constantly confronting us and making up allegations. We are extremely upset and the shockingly horrific experience we had here.

The wave has great potential. Rooms are very nice but the cleaning crew not so great. Front desk crew was very nice but we requested late check out and due to covid understood that wasnt possible but asked to use their beach and was told no. We had reservations at 100 Ocean and when we arrived our reservation was cancelled due to upcoming storm. No phone call no apology. Loved the view and the seclusion overall would definitely try again.

PERFECT! THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY...Between the location, the stylish decor, rooms, amenities, helpful and friendly staff, beach literally at your backyard, places to walk to... what more can you ask for?!? The area the hotel is located in is an amazing little spot to walk around and enjoy yourself, your spouse or even the family. Its suitable and enjoyable for everyone. If youre not so much of a socialite, no worries.... you can enjoy yourself right in the hotel and still be satisfied and entertained with all they have to offer!

Amazing room, poor experience. We stayed one night for my fiances birthday in the King Bed Ocean View Room with Balcony. You cant check in your room until 3 pm, okay no big deal, but they also dont let you use the amenities and beach service until 3. They told me they are taking extra precautions in cleaning rooms, but what does that have to do with me being able to use the beach service? Then on the day of checkout youre not supposed to use the beach service or amenities after 11 am. So both days are basically a complete waste, and for people leaving & new people arriving, neither can use the beach service during those 4 prime hours 11-3 (makes zero sense). They also made me pay $42 just to be able to remain in my parking spot the day of checkout. For the price of this room I would have expected better treatment. The balcony glass was also dirty when we arrived and someone had to come clean it. Too expensive to be constantly inconvenienced and unwelcomed. Will be trying Ocean Place next time.

Beautiful room but my $1000/night room had a view of the parking lot and construction. Also extremely short staffed. No one will open the front door for you despite having a stroller. No one at the front desk after 6pm. Their response was that my reservation doesnt take priority since i booked through hotels.com

I LOVE the wave resort. My boyfriend and I spent our labor day weekend here last year and we loved the room and the staff. I enjoyed the bar at the pool the most, because we were the only people there for hours so we could relax and chat and the bartender was so great! (hard to find that on labor day weekend at the jersey shore haha) However the only complaint we had that ruined the weekend for us was the fact there were so many kids at the pool running around the edge of the pool and jumping into the pool (which splashed water on me multiple times when I was laying out, and no parents said anything to their kids), they would also keep swimming up to the bar, even though the bartender told them multiple times not to which was extremely annoying. This was the only thing that got in the way of our relaxing visit. I understand it is not the fault of the hotel, but I think they should have had someone at the pool making sure that this does not happen. We definitely spent good money here and wanted a nice weekend without this kind of annoyance. That being said, I still highly recommend the wave resort. We just booked our visit for next month, and I am SO excited!

Being that it is a brand new property, it is difficult to find fault in it. But service and overall philosophy ruin the experience here, particularly at the astronomical prices per night where hospitality should be paramount by every single staff member. Starting with contact I made by phone or email, communication was confusing, incomplete, unhelpful, or simply nonexistent (emails were never answered). No one seems to know what theyre doing. Their policies are unreasonably strict - definitely not normal for the industry (no use of amenities until check in at 4pm, etc). At almost $800 per night, Id expect quality customer service. It is a superficial property, all looks no substance. There are plenty of Jersey Shore options at competitive prices with service that makes all the difference. A shame really.

Amazing, comfortable, brand new place to stay! They were very friendly and helpful! Best room with an ocean view! The bed was extremely comfortable...I fell asleep immediately! The outside beds by the pool were very relaxing!

Great built hotel, very nice amenities/restaurants, best location, HORRIBLE SERVICE. Managers/Front Desk are condescending and patronizing, will not accommodate you for anything. Every answer is a NO and then you have to negotiate. Also they have a crazy rule that you cant use amenities after checking out (11am), so you cant use the pool or beach day of check out lol, its a joke. We went for 1 night and was allowed to use the hotel for 16 hours, literately. A manager (Genie or Jenny) walked out to the beach at 11:01 and told us we need to leave the premises. Now that I came to write a review I see others have said the same thing. I also noticed the only reviews that got a response from the owner are the good ones, not the bad ones. Falls inline with the type of service we received, no urge to satisfy the client. Everyone there needs a crash course in hospitality, Ive never seen anything like it especially at such an expensive hotel. I was at Ocean Place a few years ago, complete opposite in service. Outdated, but worth considering just going there and walking across whenever you want. Requesting a refund from the hotel for the horrible service, lets see what they say. Oh, and the lost power for 4-6 hours of our stay, didnt really do much for accommodating us. Complete joke.

At first glance, the hotel appears to be a five star but the customer service was lacking in several ways. Upon arrival, there were several people waiting on line and the female at the front desk was very aloof and unfriendly. A guest prior was also complaining about how rude the front desk service was. The pool could have done a better job at social distancing and the male bartender on Tuesday never wore a mask and was serving drinks throughout the day. When we called front desk for ice or any questions, the phone would ring and we needed to call several times before any answer. Our room was nice and the beach views were stunning but not quite what we expected.

This hotel was a dream I love it and if you are going to NJ you should come here its amazing.

We loved long Branch. It’s beautiful, clean, family friendly, amazing food and restaurants. The wave resort itself is a very clean and nice boutique hotel. Beds were very comfy and everything is new and clean. The service was horrendous. To be specific the cleaning staff was amazing and very accommodating but the front desk was horrible. Attitudes and refuse to do anything you ask for. I had to argue with the front desk to get a trolly when checking out because apparently before 10am they don’t have the specific person who manages the trolley. Eventually I got someone to bring the trolley. Then they brought out our stuff as if they were kicking us out the hotel because they needed that trolley so bad. For the price you pay you would think they had enough money to hire more people or buy trolleys. The rest of the staff was horrible. The bartenders at the bar had no interest in helping anyone just had attitudes and were rude. And then there is the pool. My god why is so cold!! People were in pain attempting to swim because it was ice cold. Everyone was complaining. Why is there no heated pool???????? That alone will keep up from every coming back. It’s wad brutal. And we cake with toddlers so they were hot from the weather and wanted to swim but cried when getting into the pool. Don’t waste your money. For these prices per night I expected the best of the best and instead got motel service with nice beds. Thumbs down. So disappointing.

Room view was superb. The facilites were great, gym a little small, beach had table side service, and the pool was great.The negative was the abrupt need to leave by 11 am. Key stopped working in order to access the pool where my stuff was left, and there was no longer given access. I was told that we were not entitled to amenities after 11 am, which would have been nice to know at checkin, instead of waiting until the last minute. I understand the need to clean the rooms, but when you kick people out by 11 and dont allow people in until3 or 4 pm, you are cutting the premium benefits short.When asking the front desk if we could leave our car in the spot to grab a quick lunch, the front desk not only shocked me by responding NO but said I should go find another place to park. When pressing further, she said I could try to ask the parking attendant, but no guarantee. Thank you to the parking attendant having better customer service and being more accommodating than the front desk.

Absolutely loved it here! Staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Everything was so clean and modern. Surprised my boyfriend here for his birthday with the Deluxe King - Oceanfront room and it was perfect. Great area and can not wait to come back.

Had an amazing night out with my wife to get some alone time awayfrduring our stay and due om the kids. Front desk was very nice and quick to get us checked in. The hotel was spotless from the lobby to our room. It was raining to COVID restrictions we had to eat dinner outside. The waitstaff continued to serve us and others to the best of their ability while getting wet themselves. We enjoyed a balcony room with a beautiful sunrise the following morning. The hotels beachfront location is outstanding. We would recommend to anyone and hope to stay again soon.

Newer property. Very clean. Front desk staff very cordial and friendly. Room was spacious with plenty of drawer and storage for clothing. Only negative is felt the shower floor was slippery. Maybe need some treads or other to help out over the tiles in the shower. Also the towels were a bit scratchy. We did enjoy our stay and will definitely be back.

This resort has to be the most unaccommodating hotel ever. Save your time and money and stay elsewhere. The women, Gabriela, at the front desk is miserable. We were attending a wedding and requested an early check in if possible, well, that did not happen. Not only were we given an attitude but our room wasn’t ready until late in the day. All the other staff was nice, however, the stay is not worth the money. We will not be returning!

Very good location near the water. However, if you are planning to go to the pool don’t bother. The water in pool is so dirty that my kids who never complain about dirty water complained. As long as you’re not planning to use the pool the hotel is ok.

Firstly, the hotel and room is beautiful! Modern yet warm and homely! The staff was super friendly and accommodating! What i was most impressed by was the spa! Donna went above and beyond for my birthday bringing us champagne and making sure we were well taken care of! I can’t say enough about how wonderful she was! Rheena, my massage therapist was great! I have been using here for months! Highly recommended this resort and the spa boutique!

What an awesome hotel to stay. I was very pleased with everything from the food to the interior design to the cleanliness. However I was most impressed with how friendly and welcoming the staff/management was to dozens of employees from Monmouth Medical Center. You made us feel special and appreciated during the entire 6 weeks of the COVID 19 pandemic. We needed to self isolate from our families (so we can continue to work on the frontlines) and you made us feel safe and secure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done. This is definitely a place I will recommend to visiting friends/family.

The staff was great and the room was nice. There were a few things that made me only give it 4 stars, though. The toilet paper roll holder was falling off of the wall and some of the furniture was cheap. I expected a little bit more from such a new hotel. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Hotel still needs some brushing up to do before the season opens. The staff is all very friendly but they need training. The restaurant on site lacks experience. I placed an order for take out and the presentation was sub par. They put the hummus in two small salad dressing containers which was less than appealing to eat from. I had also asked for cucumbers and carrots on the side since one of us eating couldn’t eat the pita. Well we were charged extra for the veggies and the pita bread wasn’t provided.The acoustics and sound in the hotel were sub par. There was a big party on the floor above us and saying it was loud is an understatement. It sounded as if the party was in our room. This is going to be a problem for the hotel if they are going to continue to host large events in the evening hours while guests are sleeping. I would say the walls overall are very thin too. There was some noisy guests on our floor and they sounded as if they were in our room as well.The hotel is right on the water and the views from the balcony were pretty. It’s right next to pier village so you can walk to everything.The valet parking is a nice touch.

I posted review about the service and staff. So, I got replay message from the owner, advising to call the management office and they will help me with my complaint. As I expected, my wife called in and spoke to office manager, office manager advised she will escalate the complaint to higer manager and will call us back Saturday. Today is Wednesday and of course we haven’t heard anything!!!!!! What kinda a service is that. Stay away!!!!!! From wave resort, worest management And service ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best new place to visit in Long Branch. Ryann from the events staff is on point. I am definitely am booking my event here. Last but not least, Amanda at the bar was fantastic and inviting. A++

This hotel is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the staff in the hotel and restaurants could not be nicer, or accommodating. Of course the location is great as well. My one constructive criticism would be it is impossible to get a cup of coffee before 7 am - for those of us up at 5:30 that’s not ok! There is an espresso maker in the room, but that’s not coffee!

The only bad thing about our stay in this diamond and gem of a hotel on the pearly Jersey Beaches is that we went when it was cold.The rate was unbelievable in the winter time, and the experience is quite thrilling. We spent time on the balcony overlooking the picturesque beach and horizon.We walked the tranquil boardwalk and checked out the attractions just below the hotel.There is so much to see, both from your room and on the outside. The staff is great, some of the warm and friendliest in the business and the food were good.Not great, but we enjoyed our one year anniversary in fine style, with free dessert courtesy of the cool chef.We will be back for sure, hopefully, the rates are not too expensive spring or summer!

What a joke! Was trying to book for this weekend, 1000 a night. Really. Stayed there last year, nice but not 1000 a night nice. Shame.

This is *not* a luxury stay. Sadly many websites and reviews including the property advertise it so. Try the room order breakfast: pre-made Starbucks-style products delivered without cutlery in paper bag. Try the amenities (?!?): cheap service, small spaces and sadly mask usage not enforced. Ha! to me: I paid. “Damn this is damp!” Said the facilities person noticing our broken aircon in the room. [Edit 07/20/20 FYI I sent 2 emails to your attention and raised my concerns with front desk, no response a month after, so lowering this from 2 to 1 star]

This place was awesome!! Clean, great staff, comfy bed and the shower is amazing!! Not to mention the gorgeous view. I highly recommend this place. Even with the construction next door, the experience was wonderful. I will be back!!

Went for a quick girls trip. Literally from the moment you pull up to when you leave, the staff is wonderful, warm and friendly. The hotel is beautiful. Restaurant has great good and great bartenders. Great experience!

We had our holiday office party at High Crest, the upstairs event room and everything was absolutely perfect! The views are incredible and Ryann our event planner did everything flawlessly. I would highly recommend everything about the Wave Hotel and their private events!!! I will use them every year!

The heat in the room wasn’t working. The engineer came twice to look at it and it was freezing. I called more than once and they didn’t have anyone to come and look at it. We are getting sick and will definitely need to see a doctor. They told us that they control the heat from downstairs. Very disappointed.

My husband and I had an amazing babymoon stay. The prenatal massage from George was so so good. He made sure I felt comfortable with the process and every step of the way. The spa area is incredibly nice and relaxing. We had a deluxe room and it was sparkling clean. Great views and right next to all you could need. The parking included very fast valet. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful and up to date hotel

Very bad customer service! Horrible experience the front seat was so rude! I needed to leave and didn’t stay in the room and paid $600 and some and didn’t even use the room and they wouldn’t accommodate me at all.

I recently had a massage at the Wave Resort with my sister. We started our morning off greeted by the friendly front desk staff as we headed up to the spa. Our massages were wonderful, both masseuses did a great job. We then spent the rest of our day lounging on the roof-top deck area around the heated pool. The cocktails were delicious and the food was a nice portion and very tasty for the price. It was a wonderful spa day.

Excellent location. Our room overlooked the ocean and had an awesome sunrise. Last night we watched the fireworks from the balcony.The help there was super friendly.

My family member recommended that we stay here. It was amazing! This place smells wonderful and has the best views! It was clean and the food was amazing! Huge thank you to Rosaly Borrero for the accommodations! Highly recommend

Had an amazing stay! We arrived on Friday right after their grand opening, and the views from the room were absolutely stunning! The rooms are incredibly well designed, and the staff is even better.Alicia at the Front Desk was so accommodating and the pool bar food was delicious. Sad that we had to leave after only one night, but we will definitely be returning. Weve been coming to Long Branch for years, and so glad that this hotel opened!

Beautifully appointed. Great location. Not enough staff. Ordered food and drinks at pool. No one to clean up. No pool person to move umbrellas etc. High price tag warrants excellent service.

I had a very skilled massage therapist that gave me a relaxing massage. Her name was Emily and I would recommend her to anyone. Very please with amneties.

I stayed here on my wedding night. A little hesitant about some of the negative things I heard from the locals.First off I will say that the price is a little high.However, I realized that some of the locals don’t understand the style and design of this hotel. It’s beautiful and the style reminds me of Palm Spring, CA. Its got a fun desert feel with a modern, industrial feel.Staff was super friendly. The deluxe jr suite was HUGE, overlooking the pool and ocean. Completely stunning.Thank you!

Best place I’ve ever been too. All the way from housekeeping to bell boy Everyone is extremely kind and very helpful. I don’t know where to start service is incredible restaurants are fantastic and staff is the best I’ve ever seen I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing vacation with great activities staff that goes above and beyond for you and don’t forget the comfy beds would definitely visit again

First time staying here a few weeks ago. Staff and owner are excellent - very accommodating. Great views of the ocean and of Long branch from our room. Love the large walk in shower. They placed the handles in the right spot - so you dont get wet when turning on the shower water. We will be back !

Beautiful resort with great amenities and restaurants. A few kinks to work out since they are new but overall I would highly recommend. Loved the pool and loved the beach access. Ask for pricing before booking spa appointments as I found their prices to be extremely high. (Although I had a great experience at the spa, I would never have paid that much had I known the price in advance.)

Customer service was impeccable! From everyone at front desk, bellman to the beach staff! Even the manager offered us exceptional assistance! The hotel and rooms are very clean and modern! Pool closes too early and no room service are our only complaints!!

The overall experience was very good. The hotel is new and because of that you dont see some thing that you do in many old hotels. The floors are not carpet which is great so they can actually be cleaned, unlike most hotels that are carpet. The pool is small, but fine. It has a great seating area around the pool and it overlooks the beach. The hotel offers free chairs and umbrellas at the beach, which was great! The hotel has a weird smell when you first come in, but thats just my opinion, its not a bad smell, just something they spray.My one complaint was the room door was not very sound proof and you could hear everyone in the hall and since my room was by the elevator I heard it every time it beeped.

Got a lot of attitude from Aaron from engineering and Daniela Santos front end supervisor she also made some very nasty remarks will not stay here again

We had a wonderful stay at a special property and an exciting project.From our arrival and Valet w the no paper system to the friendly greeting and efficient check in, exceptional Head bellman (Theo) who shared detailed info on the hotel to our check out, outstanding.Our room was Beautiful, comfortable and consistent with Practical, functional design, very appealing. The building Beautifully positioned on the boardwalk with attractive lighting. Looks spectacular.Our Dinner at 100 Ocean was delicious and our waiter knowledgable and helpful with food that was creatively presented and deliciously prepared. Over all an excellent experience and your team is off to a great start.I met with Julian the generalManager in the morning and talked shop,. They have a solid team there with great attitudes. They’re a prideful group.

I can not comment on the hotel itself because I havent stayed here. I called the hotel today to make a reservation and the woman in the reservations department who I spoke to over the phone is the reason I decided to book elsewhere. She literally spoke over me or interrupt me mid sentence anytime I tried to ask a question. Her tone was rude and she was very pushy. I know in sales you have to be a little forward but this was overwhelming.

Cute place in long branch. the beachside neighborhood is so lovely for a quick weekend getaway!
