Came here with a large group and we had a wonderful time. The quality and quantity of food is amazing, freshness is excellent, feel free (read not-guilty) to order any fried stuff as the coating on their COD fish is super light and there is no after taste of oil. CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE desert is a MUST !!!

The food and location were both awesome. The bar is one of the coolest ones around with hand laid oysters encased inside. All the seafood is fresh and delicious, plus all the portions are large enough to leave you full and satisfied.

This place is amazing! Love hanging out with Russell at the bar, which has oyster shells inside of it!, never a dull moment. The town green sandwich is my favorite, avocados on top of grilled chicken, yum! The views are gorgeous too, especially from the roof.

I read a few reviews on other sites and some called into question the unfinished concrete floors and metal furniture. The place has a clear nautical theme and the haze gray chairs and steel tables complimented it very well. We went during the middle of the day when it was not busy.Next time we go we will sit on the east side of the building where the bar is. It has a more expansive view and a better choice of seating.Food was great, reasonably big portions. My wife had the Chicken Pontalba and I had the Coastal Collision. Mine was not quite hot enough but was delicious. Hers was perfect.

The staff was friendly and sure, a beautiful location, but the food was horrible for such prices. I have never had to use a steak knife to cut through fried green tomatoes. If youre looking for a great dinner date night, take your hard earned money elsewhere. I hear the Lookout is fantastic.

The wife and I visited for an early diner on Wednesday for their 10 dollar oyster special. When we stepped out of the elevator we were expecting the restaurant to have a coastal them, but other than the artwork, three dolphins hanging from the ceiling, and the see through bar top with real oyster shells in it, the restaurant has more of a spaceship theme going on, pretty cool, just not what we were expecting. We tried the raw and char grilled oyster, that both came out fairly quickly, then had a sampler oyster tray. The coastal oysters with brie cheese were our favorite. Our server was great, very knowledgeable with the menu and the wine and liquor, but was filling in from another restaurant and wasnt aware that they served fish bowl drinks. The table next to us ordered one just as we were leaving. Were coming back for more oysters and more importantly that fish bowl.

Perfect location with beautiful view of the gulf. Wonderfully prepared seafood with nice presentation. Attentive and friendly staff. The coast has needed a restaurant like this for so long! Will definitely be back.

Very expensive. Food was just okay. Soups came out cold and had to be sent back. Even after being sent back our gumbo still came out cold. Entrées were passable, but not great. Waiter was very good and understanding. Beautiful view.

Loved the food. The bartenders are super friendly and made us feel right at home. So glad to have another great place to eat in long beach!

It was my mother in laws birthday. Shes not your average in law though. Shes awesome and I love spending time with her so we wanted to get her EXACTLY what she wanted for her birthday which was fried flounder. This is the only place that we found with what she wanted. We called places in new Orleans, gulfport, Pass Christian, bay st lewis, and long Beach and this was it. The reef. We got there and the hostess said we were looking at a 45 minutes wait. No big deal. 2 parties got there after us and were sat before us so that was a disappointment. Plus the hostess, a platinum blond haired girl was rude to my wife and in laws. She wont be working there much longer. Food was AMAZING! its my new favorite restaurant. No one at my table had any problem what so ever with their food. The manager came to talk to us about the hostess and resolved the situation. Our waitress, Tammy was among the best I have ever been served by.

The food is amazing, and The Tuna Tower appetizer is big enough to make a meal out of! The view is also incredible. Cant wait to eat there again.

We came from Missouri and seen this resteraunt weeks before coming in hopes for a great view great time and of course great food!!! And this place has more than delivered all of the above mentioned! My husband says by far the best seafood ever! I ordered the blacked chicken pasta and it was amazing!!! Great scenery very friendly workers overall a very rememorable time for us! Time to bring the kids next time!!! We will drive the ten hours to come back here!

Food, service and view are outstanding. Po-boys are enough to feed two. Tends to run a tad spendy, considering that you are eating on metal patio furniture on a bare concrete floor. Check out the grilled oyster special.

All food was hot and delicious, and to top it off the server Lauren was spectacular!

I really enjoyed my meal here. The view is amazing from almost every seat. We started out with the oyster sampler and Royal Reds. The Rockefeller were my favorite, the chargrilled were good, and I wasnt a fan of the bacon and blu (to be honest Im not a fan of blu cheese). The shrimp were in a kettle with corn and potatoes with a great flavor. My entrée was an 8oz filet topped with grilled lump crab meat nuggets, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. I would definitely order the exact same thing on a return trip.

I arrived early for dinner with my wife. I ordered the special mahi mahi and my wife ordered the other special flounder. After a couple bites my wife wanted to taste mine. Instantly her throat started closing up and there was a strange tingling in her mouth. As she was telling me I suddenly vomited all over the table with no warning. Its called Scrombroid fish poisoning its caused by eating spoiled fish and effects you immeditly. I thought it was something wrong with me so when the manager moved us to the other table and allowed us to order again we ordered something light an the restaurant charged us 60 bucks its only after I left that I found out what had happened. Also the waiter had come to the table next to us and offered the people sitting there the special trout and red snapper so yea the reasturant knew what had happened and changed the fish special. Never going back!
