Probably the best coffee in town. I like it. Did items are nice, too.
The place I come to several times a week to get some work done. I love the atmosphere here. The baristas are really nice and I like that they have healthy options to eat as well as a good selection of organic teas. They have live music, I believe on Thursdays but Ive also seen a performance on Sundays. So maybe the dates vary.
I liked to spend my day here because the place was so relaxing. While I was drinking coffee, I enjoyed the fancy paintings on the wall. You could create an image while watching it and while savoring the coffee. Due to the beauty of the place, it made me stay there for an hour. What a nice day! It was the perfect place!
Mexican mocha chocolate deliciousness. Great vegetarian sandwiches great service
Very unique coffee shop! I love their lattes and bagels.
Warm and friendly people here.True community spirit and they sell a smooth Yerba Mate, my favorite!
I used to go to the open mics here to read poetry. Such a FUN experience! Theyre really friendly people and the entertainment is free. Just a cup of coffee is all it takes, and who doesnt like coffee?? Id recommend it for its atmosphere and comfort. So much better than chain coffee shops!
This is definitely a place I would need to visit more. I have come a few times with a co-worker and I have to say it has an interesting vibe. It feels like a lot of students go here to study as well. Only thing that you might want to be think about is their politics. They are overtly political with some of their messages. So if you don’t want politics while getting coffee, I’d say find a different place. Overall though, it’s a great place to try!
Charlene was an absolute joy. She has pretty smile and is always friendly. Coffee is always on point and I am treated like family. I highly recommend this place.
The menu is solid, lots of non-coffee options, like smoothies and juices, as well as an abundance of caffeinated things. Im partial to the Mexican mocha, its delicious. Love their bagel sandwiches too! Theyre huge and stuffed with yummy things. Get them toasted. The Love and Veggie Garden are absolutely delightful.
Great neighborhood coffee spot
This is absolutely the BEST coffee shop for WORKING AND STUDYING! Its divided into two sides. The side with the tables is for the most part all people working, and its nice and quiet. The side with the lounge chairs is a mix of readers and people talking - but still the noise level is really low as compared to other coffee shops. Staff is great, as is the coffee and food. Try the killer tomato sandwich but on wheat bread - its awesome!
I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Viento Y Agua on our interview date. There’s a reason why the Friends‘ favorite spot was the Central Perk and I can happliy say that Long Beach’s Viento Y Agua gives me those sames vibes. Home-y wood and brick paired with bright colored walls give the atmosphere an extra bit of spice than your standard shop while local artwork from paintings to sculptures really pull the interior design together. Apart from tangible art, they also hold regular open mic and belly dancing nights, singer-songwriter showcases, and light live music during the daytime (at least on the morning we were there).A copious amount of seating options allow for coffee date-ers, sit and read the morning newspaper-ers, board game-ers, and everyone in-between to stop in for something yummy to eat and drink offered up by their cheery staff. As the Mexican Mocha was raved about all through Yelp of course I needed to order it. I say this in the most serious way possible, the Mexican Mocha tastes like all of the warm and fuzzy things that bring you joy. GET IT! Viento Y Agua really is a great spot for Long Beach locals and visitors like myself to feel a strong community aspect as well as getting a great cup of coffee, thanks for having us!
Ambiance: this place reminds me of some cute cafes I would hang out in when I lived in Houston. Comfy arm chairs and couches, brightly painted walls. A guitar covered with stickers that any customer can pick up and play (one guy did!) bookshelves with some random books, in case you are bored :).
Nice atmosphere ... open mic music 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursdays.
Very cool coffee shop. They have fantastic sandwiches, and even better coffee. The staff is so friendly, its contagious and it seems like everyone there is awesome. My spouse and I like working from there when we need a break from the house and this is the best place to get some work done! Love it.
This is the place to go for good coffee, open mic nights, and skeletons. Mainly skeletons.
Great place to study, there are open mic nights with some good and sometimes not good talent. This aint your star bucks place but I like the vibe better here!
Ive been going to this coffee house for probably 12 years and its just as wonderful today as it was when I was in high school. No matter where I go in the world, I always find myself missing a cup from Viento, so I thought Id write a review. The owner is super friendly and works the register frequently. If you go there often he gets to know your name and always has a warm welcome ready when you walk in. The coffee, of course, is also very good - tasty without anything at all, and never too sweet if you get a more exotic drink. Every barista is well trained and the latte art is always a pleasure to see. I wouldnt go here for a huge meal, but If youre looking for a light breakfast or lunch the pastries are delicious and the bagel sandwiches are both health conscious and to die for. Finally, the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Comfy mismatched arm chairs, local artists artwork, books, and a piano all invite you to sit back and enjoy. Every time I visit Long Beach, this place is an absolute priority.
This is mainly because on hot days it can be quite stuffy and uncomfortable. Otherwise, the staff is always friendly and the drinks good. We usually have drinks and a muffin while we play a game.
Chill vibes, bomb coffee, and a delicious bagel sandwich. I ate vegetarian which I almost never do but the love was filling and delicious. Plus my cold brew was dark and rich and exactly what u needed for my late morning pick me up.
I luv the open mic night on Thursday. Starts at 6.Coffee is outstanding, though I dont drink coffee often at all. Great vegan gluten free muffin. Awesome raspberry lavender tea.
Very chill place to hangout and enjoy coffee and pastries. Great café con leche
Comfy, cool neighborhood cafe. My favorite place to study, work, and meet up with nice folks. Their chai lattes and sandwiches are delish.
Great brewed coffee! Affordable prices and typical struggling artist vibes.
Definitely a local favorite; felt very homey! Great service, great coffee, great place!!
Went on an open mic night and enjoyed both the music and drinks! Viento y Agua carries Copa Vida coffee (excellent choice). One of the few shops open until late evening as well.
This place has stood the test of time with great quality of food and beverages served and even better customer service. This is definitely a place to add to your local chill hangout spots.
I love their open mic and live music here!!!
Really friendly staff
Viento started it all. It is the first artisan coffeeshop in Long Beach and has been tried and true for over ten years. All of their coffee drinks are delicious. They carry the best bagels in town. Bela, the owner, is the sweetest person who knows all of his customers names and he even sings songs to them! They have a great vibe for small meetings and solo work/study. They also support local artists!
A cool, fun and eclectic coffee shop, with amazing coffee and pour overs. There are some things to eat. Get the PB&J!
They have the best Mexican hot chocolate!! They also have a really nice atmosphere if you want to do work or study!
This is based on my one and only visit here. But I rarely find places anymore where I can just sit and relax without the sound of a beehive of people talking. Very relaxing. Good coffee and snacks. Very curious and friendly service. I will return.
Always a great time. Owners are terrific. A great vibe.
Consistently amazing drinks and food. Great little eco friendly coffee spot.
Simply like its genuine hipster style.
Tried the Blended Matcha smoothie. Very tasty.
Espresso is always on point.Bonus points: Music & poetry venue.Bela Rules
One of my favorite coffee houses. Cold brew is a true cold brew and all their coffees. Great environment. Sweet breads delucious.
Here on a Sunday. New staff needs to better their customer service skills! Was there from 12-4pm.
Wonderful place to listen to talented voices and relax with a refreshing drink.
Really nice space ! Has good live music and an open mic. Its a bit of a drive away from the main drag, but plenty of seating makes up for it. Well lit with natural lighting, super good place to draw and relax in.
Felt very welcomed!! Ordered the I LOVE with jalapeno bagel!! Omygosh!!Best Ive ever eaten. I actually dined alone with their Year of the Birds in National Geographic. The owner Bela, wife and team all 5 star! First time: cant wait to go back!!
Had a Killer Tomato sandwich and a Chai. Both were great. Atmosphere is also very appealing.
Good coffee and friendly service. Cozy place to sit and do some work, read or meet up with people! One of the better coffee houses in Long Beach. Great community vibe as the staff seems to know everyone who comes into the cafe.
The banana oatmeal protein shake! omg it is to die for and theyre so amazing to even add spinach if you like. I love this place super cute and could always daze off looking at the art work on the walls
Best hot chocolate in town!!!!!!
This is a very cool coffee house. Great place to hang out. Good Wifi. The coffee is excellent. I love the Nicaraguan Dark Roast!
Great coffee. Offers hemp milk as well as the best brand of almond milk. Perfect place for vegans, with vegan croissants and muffins available. Only vegetarian food on the menu. Love the killer tomato sandwich. Atmosphere is mellow. Art on the walls and occasionally live music. Ill spend an hour or two there at a time to write.
This is my favourite coffee shop. I used to live just a few blocks away, but since moving to the East side I only get in there one in a while. The PBO is delicious and has my go-to beverage.I love the selection of vegan muffins and cookies too.Such a cool place, and open mic night typically has some good musicians roll through.
Great atmosphere - really inviting space to enjoy a coffee or smoothie, read a book or hang out with friends
Fantastic coffee, no need for the razzmatazz syrups, milk, cream etc. that Starbucks needs because its coffee is dirt! However their iced blended drinks are way better than Starbucks anyway! (Incomparable really...)Cold brew is awesome, espresso is awesome, atmosphere is too, and then there open mic night... I just love this place.
Pretty cool atmosphere !!! Coffee is pretty good but not very unique. Service is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Overall a great place to grab a coffee and relax.
Great vibe. Great coffee. The owner is super sweet.
Viento y Agua is the very model of a modern local coffee shop. My second closest - and conveniently favorite - coffee shop in Long Beach. Perfect layout for study or social gathering--The layout not only accommodates but encourages community cohesion; talking to your table neighbors is both easy and unnecessary (which is perfect for voluntary conversations or privacy). The coffee is secondary to me at this coffee shop, which isnt to say it isnt good. Its not the complete best coffee in Long Beach to my taste, but it is consistent and original. I suggest the dirty vanilla lavender shake; the only coffee shop I know to carry lavender flavoring syrup. The owner is a boss, the live music is explicitly local.
My very favorite Barista Flavia makes an AMAZING Mexican Mocha with a hint of Lavender for me (its delicious!). I simply love her! Everybody there is really nice. Grounded people, organic and vegan choices, local wares are supported (hand made coffee cups, art on walls, delicious little treats). The vibe is nice. Lots of space to do work or study if you need to. Comfortable chairs to curl up ans read a book in. Youll enjoy this place very much!
Very chill place and awesome entertainment from open-mic participants during Thurs, Fri and Sat night. Really gives you the café vibe. I enjoy doing homework here because they got good coffee, pretty quiet, subtle music and friendly staff.
Always a courteous and interested staff! Never too talkative or too short, always just perfect - just like their pours and bagel sandwiches
First time there. Really chill place, kind staff, delicious sandwiches and awesome cold brew.
We visit every time were in Long Beach. The owner is always super welcoming and friendly. This is a place worth spending time at, and the coffee is incredible! Gotta try the Mexican Mocha!
Cafe con leche is great and I dont like coffee much. Killer tomato bagel is awesome as well.
Dont judge this place by the building. The food and drinks taste amazing and the customer service is the best part.
Been coming here since my undergrad in 2006. Love it.
I spent the evening there in the company of some wonderful friends. I had been anticipating The Killer Tomato Bagel Sandwich and was not let down by the flavor ( they had ran out of bagels, however). The funky vibe and laid back feel was most welcoming and I look forward to future visits.
You may have to wait a while for your coffee, but man is it good.
One of the best coffee shops (and study spots) in Long Beach. Their drinks and treats are delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Its well-decorated and quiet, which makes it easy to study or get lost in a book. Highly recommend this to everyone.
Great atmosphere. Very good pastries. Live music and open mike sometimes.
The absolute friendliest service and great inexpensive coffee!
Cool little place. Quiet and relaxing. Good cofee.
I love this coffee shop! The coffee is delicious, always served in a mug (it makes all the difference in the world!!!). The staff is friendly, always with positive energy and HUGE smiles! The place is comfortable with big comfy couches or tables to complete school work etc. My only complaint is that is open until 8pm Sundays-Wednesdays. I wish they could close later than their regular closing hours. Im sure they would have as much business as they usually do!
Good coffee and food. The atmosphere.is unique and may not be right for everyone. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the long wait (~ 25 minutes) for our sandwiches.
I love this place. I come here with my son once in a while to have cookie time. Everyone here is nice and I love the art...so far its the closest thing Ive found to the independent coffee shops in my hometown of San Francisco. Good place to study!
Bagels are constantly burned even advised staff many times, otherwise great taste if not burned ! 1 Coffee size and Price now ??? Strange...
Great food, coffee, tea and music.
Espresso was a bit bland to average, but the friendly and helpful staff and the quiet relaxing ambience made it a place I would return to study, read, play games on my phone
Really cute little coffee shop. It feels homey inside because they feature local artists on their walls and the staff is really friendly. Come for the great menu, stay for the atmosphere.
Relaxing and friendly, best dirty chai in Long Beach.
Such a cool place. My friend took mr there for the first time to study for finals. Very chill and nice. I got the vinalla lavender drink it was so good. Great to study, reconnect with a friend, and even first dates.
Nice place! A bit warm in this weather, but great service and coffee, etc. I had a great mango smoothie
Friendly staff and great place to sit and work. It is the perfect neighborhood coffee shop with lots of personality.
Here is a quaint coffee house. The baristas are always friendly and chill. It often has musical acts on Saturday evenings and I can always find a table or chair (which is perfect since I usually like to study or read a book)
My favorite coffee shop in LB, the vibe is both cozy living room and creative co-work space. Chai Banana Smoothie with Oat Milk
Their bagels are so yummy and the guy who took my order was very friendly
Ive been going here since before I was in preschool with my family and I have never had any bad experience here. All the workers here are extremely kind, and the baffles and drinks are delicious
Took 10 minutes to get my coffee literally. And the blended coffee tasted like ice with a little flavor. The place looks great however the service was slow. I would not go again for coffee. Nightlife looked fun and the servers were friendly.
Cool place with an awesome coffee latte. Try their Killer Tomato while you are there.Restroom needs a little cleaning but besides that u can utilize the place as your office.
Great art, atmosphere, and wonderful traditional Mexican coffee
I have been coming here since Bela opened it. I have enjoyed drinking coffee, listening to music, and visiting. The Cafe con Leché at Viento is the BEST!
This funky coffeehouse is also an art gallery and live entertainment venue, and serves up some of the best coffee in the area. We admired the colorful drawings of childhood imaginary friends, and started chatting with a group of peace activists who regularly use the coffeeshop as a home base. It had just started to rain, and so we ordered a mug of Mexican mocha with almond milk (the chocolate in the drink was blended BEFORE they steamed the milk), and settled into a comfy couch. The calendar of events had something interesting at least twice a week for the next few months – can’t wait to return!
Always a great experience...Ive been visiting for many years!
Cute neighborhood Coffee House. I came on a Sunday and had my coffee grounds read by a gypsy. It was fun. Lots of live performances. On the negative theres no air conditioning.
The blended vanilla lavender is our favorite.
Great coffee house. Friendly staff. I ordered and enjoyed a double soy Mexican Mocha. Will come here again
