Nice old quarry with some visible fossils. About a 15 minute hike from trail head. Trail has blue blazes. I saw some imprints that could have been plant stems. It looks like fossil collectors are active here.

It was a good hike. The return hike to parking area is a bit more challenging. Theres lots of geological strata to observe at varying altitudes. Great examples of sedimentary deposition, lava flow and glacial erratics.

A beautiful location, but I couldn’t find any public parking, or the fossils themselves- probably just google had the wrong location for the driving directions and I didn’t have enough time to explore at length.I ended up being directed to the Livingston sculpture hilltop instead

Loved the serenity of this place. When you get to the top you can see the whole essex county and more.
