I am definitely coming back to this creek. It is a perfect place for my children to safely enjoy the water. It is surprisingly clearer than I expected it to be. The sand appears to have gold flakes in it, giving the flowing stream a glittering effect. Plenty of space to BBQ or hold a birthday party . Bonus, its just $3 to park! It can get busy on the weekends, but theres plenty of space for everyone!

Nice and clean and peaceful. Didnt go in the water wasnt sure how clean it was . People do swim in there so Im assuming it is okay. Of course it was a weekday when I stopped there.

Hagaman Park was so beautiful! I came from 4hrs away to visit this park and parked on side of road where there is free parking however the parking lot is only 3.00 so either way wouldve been fine. The bathrooms were very nice smelled good, clean, had soap and paper towels which some public bathrooms may lack but not this one. The water was so gorgeous with flakes of gold in the soft brown sand. I was pleasantly surprised there were no pebbles or rocks just really soft brown sand with flakes of gold in it. It felt like a beach and the river didnt smell bad like some do. There were little minnow fish swimming around too. There was plenty of shallow spots for toddlers to play in and my 4yr old had so much fun it was her first time getting into a lake and the way it was set up I brought a chair in shade by water and watched her play. The park has a kids playground which was a bonus for kids I wasnt expecting so that was nice. The tables by the bbq pit were in shade all day long which was awesome. I had such a wonderful time.

A Nice place off of the 165. Water is refreshing and level was low. Plenty of Picnic areas with Parking. Large Pits & Table areas.

For a sunny day with the family you have multiple plots to barbecue with tables, and a beautiful stream. You could bring a inflatable donut and just go a drift on a stagnant flowing stream.

Pretty clean park. Good space. Wish some of the things were a little more up to date but nothing a little time and effort couldnt fix.

Great place for a picnic. You can even get wet in the creek when it’s safe. There’s parking and restrooms.

Really pretty Park conveniently located between Stevenson and Hilmar. Anyways really nice place to take a rest from driving!Xx

Big open grassy spaces, plenty of tables and bbq s, quite a few big mature trees, fairly big sandy beach next to a wide and shallow part of the Merced River make for good times.

Great place to visit on a hot sunny day water is not too deep and your kids can play to their hearts content

Very nice place for family gatherings. Merced river at this park is safe for kids to play, shallow water this time of the season. Definitely would like to make return visit.

Love This Nice Weather And Staff is Always Picking Up Trash Making sure we Love it. I Really Extremely Recommend Bug Spray Or Mosquito Repellent since There Is Many Of them And Entrance Is Not Pricey. If your really early then You Dont even Pay at all.

This place was great I had a great time I loved it I went to a family reunion the atmosphere was great

Three stars for the rude staff policing the park (on trash duty) there were no gates and tons of cars parked. Even a family reunion was taking place. Yet, as we began to make our way to a shady place to have a picnic we were confronted by a lady picking up trash who said the park was closed. She continued to look for a supervisor as we said we wouldnt be long. We werent planning on using the playground as it was recently flooded. And obviously not going near the water due to the level. She did not approach any other families. Only ours. Not sure what company she wotks for but Im sure the role she took today was not in her job description.As for the park, we look forward to coming back with the kids and will expect a much more pleasant experience.

Merced river runs through it. Kids play in the river during the summer when water is low. Right now to water to high and fast dangerous. It a old park needs a upgrade

Love this place. Usually clean and family friendly. However theres some major clean up that needs to happen due to the flooding and crazy weather that happened this last winter.

Small quiet place great for running, great place to take my dogs even though theres no pets allowed.. not to Ideal for children as the playground

It actually does attract alot of people but going in the evening is pretty nice. Some people even go swimming at the river. It is overall clean.

Theres bathrooms in the park. Theres parking spaces out side and inside the park. The river is pretty warm. You can have a barbeque with family. You can bring ur children along but you got to watch them. If you want to a spot: you need to reserve or first come first serve.
