Located in one of the city’s most historic buildings on 3rd Street downtown, the Livermore Art Association is dedicated to preserving and showcasing works by local artists. The association’s galleries include paintings, ceramics, photographs, and sculptures. They are regularly open to the public for part of the week and on the weekends. The facility’s hours vary but are often extended significantly during the season when the local farmer’s market is held on K Street. It’s a great stop for those interested in checking out amazing work without paying the large entrance fees usually found at private museums and galleries.
Rude and unfriendly staff. I arrived near closing time and the signs were still up in front saying they were open, the door was unlocked and the woman I encountered immediately was dismissive and rude when I walked in. I informed her that Google maps said they were still open and she did not care. A definite disappoinment because I was looking forward to the visit.
Excellent venue for artisan pieces!!
Nice small little museum and art display of local artists.
Beautiful, historic building off the main business of downtown, and in park setting. The building houses both the History Guild and the Livermore Art Assn. Gallery. The gallery offers the finest works of artists in Tri-Valley! Work includes paintings of various mediums, glass work, beads, jewelry, textiles, art to wear, ceramics, photography, hand knit baby clothes, and other beautiful work from various guest artists. If you are looking for unique gift items, wearables, or home embellishment, I highly recommend this shop. It supports local award winning artists (both national and international), and work is all hand made- never anything from overseas! The artists will also do custom work as well!
