As one of three distinct components that make up the larger Livermore Performing Arts Center, the Bankhead Theater is a popular live entertainment venue that’s been open for more than a decade.The theater was created to provide access to performing arts to members of the community.Since it opened its doors, the theater has offered a variety of year-round productions that run the gamut from kid’s performances, contemporary music, and stand-up comedy to dramatic theater and chamber orchestra.Many performances include local talent, and a number of free shows are typically offered throughout the year.The theater is located on First Street in Livermore.

Our first time here and our first time seeing the Nutcracker. We absolutely loved it! The show was amazing and the theater was great! It doesnt look like theres a bad seat in the place. My 4 year old loved it and was offered a booster seat. We will definitely be back for other shows

In full transparency they hire me to direct a lot. But outside of that the touring companies they bring into Livermore had us swap out our sf tickets. The variety of entertainment they offer is unmatched in our area!!! Do not hesitate and get season tickets. Well get them after me so I get my seats:)

Excellent venue for arts and entertainment. Be sure to pick up the schedule for the year and look through all of them. I’ve found some very interesting events looking through the catalog that I would not have searched for but was pleasantly surprised when I decided to attend.

The Bankhead theater Its a wonderful venue for inside theater live performances, orchestral presentations, and also the lovely courtyard of the Bankhead Theater hosts live entertainment, musical events and many theatrical presentations for the young and the young-at-heart! The absolute quintessential heart of Livermore!

Fun, family friendly show on a Sunday afternoon. Live theater was a better option then another movie. Theater is comfortable and there isnt a bad seat in the house. Friendly and helpful volunteers! Convenient parking in covered garage just a short walk away. Lots of restaurant choices close by for a meal before or after the show.

Great place! seats were spacious and there is not a bad view in the place.

We have really enjoyed the show here. The theater is not large and feels cozy. All of the seats have a good view of the stage and the sound is good. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

This is a very clean and intimate theater. EVERY seat is a good seat. I have seen many shows here sitting in seats ranging from the second row to the back row. Its a beautiful theater and I will continue to see shows here.

We enjoyed a musical journey with Danu tonight. Incredibly Irish and of course, quite grand.

A lovely old theater that takes you back to another time with a couple modern twists.

What a wonderful asset this theater is to the city of Livermore. Good acoustics, comfortable tiered seating and an ideal size for 500 people. The size provides an intimate comfortable environment in which to enjoy the many and varied performances staged each year.

Really wonderful venue! Its not super from from our home and we recently had a romantic date night starting with dinner at Chianti Reserve in downtown Pleasanton, then drinks across the street from Bankhead, then a wonderful Cirque Saloon show. We had wonderful, comfortable seats, and an opportunity to buy reasonably priced drinks and snacks before the show too from their friendly staff.

We have seen a number of shows here and it is a very nice regional theater. It was built not too long ago so still very nice. Plenty of good restaurants right next door and large free parking garage across the street. They have a full range of events from shows, dance, classic movies, music, etc.

It only took one experience here to convince me to become an annual donating member, and I’m under 35, so I get the Mainstage Millennial discount. The memberships come with benefits increasing in value as you pledge to donate more. The staff that greets and seats you is elderly and kind, it really adds to the experience. The venue is modern and easy on the eyes. The temperature is always perfect; I’m never hot, my date is never cold. The ambience is easy and the volume of the performance is just right. They’ve got some nice light fixtures that add to the performance or speech. Snack bar has good prices, and they even served treats for free after some shows. Haven’t been to a show that doesn’t have meet and greets with talent afterwards. I could go on and on, Just Go!!

The Bankhead theater is beautifully designed. It was an absolute pleasure to see the Hunchback of Notre Dame this past Sunday. I look forward to visiting their again. My favorite restaurant, Uncle Yus, was the perfect place for a pre-performance lunch. Fabulous service magnificent food. The parking structure is also very well-designed and convenient. Five stars for Livermore!

A phenomenal venue for entertainment!!! The sound quality is like no other. There is not a bad seat in the house, it doesnt matter where you sit you have a great view of the stage and its a very intimate venue with, again Ill say it, phenomenal sound... take a minute and go to the bankhead and support local theater, music and entertainment for the whole family.

Always love the venue at Bankhead. Love the seats, the way everyone has a good view, everything. We saw Southern Fried Chicks comedy act which was really funny. Great evening out.

Cozy local theater with great acts.

I more often perform here than go to events, but this is a fine performing arts center with a good variety of performances. Seats can be a bit cramped for tall people. Acoustics are very good. Parking is easy right across the street.

Went to see Richard Marx. Richard was simply amazing such s great show. It was a beautiful theater and the staff gave impeccable service. Im going back again Saturday!

We saw the stunt dog show. It was awesome. A great show in a beautiful venue.

This place was a showplace when it was built but not so much now. The front door let in the outside air - it was actually windy in the lobby. The theater is comfortable, the snack bar is WAY too expensive - $3 for tea! I enjoy seeing live theater so Ill keep going.

Who doesnt love live performances

Still cant believe the arts venue for the city of Livermore seats only 500 - BUT - this beautiful facility seats only 500, so there isnt a bad seat in the house. Weve seen some incredible artists in this intimate setting, and will definitely be doing so again.

No stars. I put one star in order to post my comment. I thought this would be fun poking at the establishment and currents events. It was pure hate. What made it worse was the laughter. All the strides taken to encourage people to be kind and thoughtful and accepting went out the window last night. Sad
