Cute little place to visit if youre in the area. We spent about 20 minutes here. Its free, so dont expect a whole lot. It has a small aquarium woth some interesting fish, and turtles. Very educational spot with lots of small historical items. The gift shop has cute items for kids and adults at reasonable prices.

Wouldnt know. Everything in little rock was closed because of the tropical storm even though it was only slightly raining. None of the museums were open and when you call them they all say they are opened. Very disappointed that at least the voicemails to the museums didnt say they were closed due to weather. Also all the museums are inside so Im confused why weather would effect an inside museum.

There arent a lot of live animals in this nature center. However the atmosphere was great. Got to learn a lot of the history of the area. Overall would suggest. Also its FREE!

Great place... Educational free fun and great to go to alone or to take the kids. While i was there i saw the animals fed amazing interaction with the children by staff. The lady who was there at 2pm on 5.29.2019 is an amazing and compassionate woman. I will return here.

We visit everytime I visit my family. Small but wonderful with a great staff.

This place is so much fun! We eat and hang out in the food court at the River Market and walk over to see the fish while we are there. My 8yo daughter loves to find all the different fish listed and feel the fur of all the different animals. My 2yo enjoyed it also, watching the fish, especially the leucistic (not albino) gar! It is so neat!!

This is a great place to go this summer. My kids and I loved it!

We went with the school. Its was amazing. They teach you about the different animals and teach about nature. Its a good place to go to.

So educational and beautiful inside! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The animals were well taken care of and very interesting indeed.

State sales tax funds four nature centers across Arkansas. Witt Stephens Center is both interesting and informative. Children and adults will find it interesting and a good way to spend an hour or so looking at exhibits and a movie. Several aquariums containing fish and reptiles provide education and fun. A native plant feeding area attracts birds and squirrels for your entertainment. While you stroll along the river, stop in for a few minutes and support Arkansas Game and Fish Commission conservation.

Beautiful. 2nd grade field trip. Wish we had more time. Very informative on Arkansas wildlife. Also seen a lot of animals you dont see every day. Birds nesting, bats,lots of turtles, and even a few Crain in the wetlands.

Great place to visit, and its free to the public. They host monthly events for children and families. Very lovely place to see.

It was super quiet. One person was working, he did not to get up or truly acknowledge us there. Good history, wonderful selection of various lures used in the past.

We took our first graders here for about an hour...they had a blast doing the animal scavenger hunt/self guided tour! When the weather got bad, we went to their safe place. They did an activity with the students, and they werent even aware of the tornado warning we were waiting out! Very thoughtful and professional. Our students loved it ️

I am terrified of snakes, the nice man at the front told me how to walk so I wouldnt have to see them. Otherwise fun place to learn about fish and wildlife in the area. Clean bathrooms and well air conditioned.

Went for a class on bear hunting at the auditorium. Had very nice displays inside. Buildings or events could maybe have been a little better marked

This was very disappointing.The information was good.The building is small.There was no information about trails.The bathrooms were clean.I just had higher expectations, and they were not met.

This is a great facility. It was not open today so I didnt get to see everything but what I did see is impressive!

Its free, so worth a quick visit to see the critters and displays. The fish are away on vacation during tank repair.

My family and I love this place! It’s especially fun to see them feed the baby alligators on Friday. Don’t miss the certified Monarch Waystation surrounding the building. It is maintained by master gardeners and is full of life especially in the late summer months.

Plethora of information from Arkansas Game and Fish. Large, antique fishing lure display, aquarium with native Arkansas fish, turtles, small alligator, and other outdoor displays. Free admission and bird watching area. Definitely worth a visit while at the River Market.

The big fish tank and a couple other things were shut down for maintenance. The kiddo still had fun though.

If youre planning to get anything out of the gift shop make sure youre there at least an hour before they close. We drove all the way up here to purchase the $45 dollar waterfalls book but They closed the gift shop at 3:50. Nature Center closes at 4:30

Somebody stole the orange umbrella I bought a few months back. I bought it and just a few weeks ago it was lifted with my knife and spare travel batteries for my electronics. So sad and angry about it. I bought my son caterpillar bronoculars so when I receive him back from DHS custody we can go on a nature hike. Also bought a mini scope and a whet stine for my stolen knife. Great place. Though... Makes me sick certain authorities wouldnt assist me in getting my belongings returned.

Loved it, so enjoyed all the beautiful plants, trees, & herbs on the medicine mile & inside the building was totally awesome, loved seeing the beautiful bears, we brought a friend from Australia with us & he really enjoyed it, thanks so much for having a great place that is keep up very well by staff members, for sure will be going back there and loved the toothache tree, they are few and far between & do yall have a buckeye tree?? I forgot to look for one

All the displays were very nicely layed out, and the information was easily read and understood. The workers were nice and very helpful. I loved it and plan on taking my children there

Nice museum that is free. Has information about local plants and animals. It also has some information about the history of the area and conservation efforts. Huge wall of fishing gear. Some aquariums with local fish in them. Great place to learn.

Great place to go see...we love the educational shows!

My kids love nature and museums and spent a long time at the exhibits. It is small but has a very nice collection of animals and huge aquarium featuring native fish. We were also allowed to pet a snake during an animal encounter. The show in the back was just a video that promotes AR outdoors. We were not impressed although it does only last a few minutes. If you go to the Museum of Discovery this is right next door and defintely worth the walk over!

I love this place jack and Witt Stephens are two of the Off-Broadway Wall Street Brokerage guys they own the largest off Wall Street Brokerage house in the world for years they been giving back they gave the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission money to build this beautiful display its very nice the Stevens Brothers are very good philanthropist

We always stop here every time we are in LR. Friendly staff and it is educational and fun for the kids. It also helps that it is free. My daughter loves it for the large aquarium.
