Great for an easy, long walk/run. Pet friendly. There is a nice place to chill by the river furthur down the trail.
It is a reasonable place to take a walk. There is clear trails to follow. There are no restroom facilities or much of anything other than a modest parking area.
Couple steep hills but beautiful
Trail is decent but terrain is a muddy lowlands full of bugs. To get a view of the old canal you have to climb down a slippery bank. The rapids are the main appeal.
Great little walk, nice down by the river
I was leaving New Hampshire after a couple of days of acting touristy. White Mountains, seacoast, Maine, etc.Had a few hours to kill so did a Google Maps search for parks and Moores came up. A very pleasant one hour hike with some early fall color and a longish stroll along the Merrimack.Nice way to leave the state.Big thanks to the folks who were up early rebuilding a new entrance to the parking area. Very friendly and enjoyed chatting with them.
Trails need a little pickup. But the path along the river is certainly worth checking out.
Easy access. Beautiful waterway.
Great spot
Nice place to launch a boat, fish, walk a dog, etc.
Enjoyed the short walk to the river
