The pool is great and the hot tub is a must. But that’s it. The weight room is a joke and needs a lot of upgrading to bring it into this century. If your coming in for a swim, you will be a happy camper. But if you are looking for a good sweat in the weight room I suggest you keep looking.
We show up for my sons first swimming lessons and apparently they’re closed and cancelled swimming lessons without telling anyone!! Multiple families were here for swimming lessons. When I called the woman said “well we cancelled for today but we called everyone to let them know”. Clearly that didn’t happen!!! I when I tell her this, she states “well the front desk probably called your husband.” I don’t have a husband, I’m a single parent. Smdh! When I ask when my money will be returned to my account and all she could say was “we plan to do something for people” whatever that means!! I sat in the parking lot as swimming lessons were to begin and SEVEN families showed up and unloaded their kids to find out no swimming lessons. Mind you she said they called every family!! As a single parent I have to leave work early (loose pay) in order for my son to participate in certain activities, thanks Larson Lifestyle!!! You ruined my sons first swimming lesson experience! Communication would have been appreciated! I called back to inform her of all the families arriving and all she said was “thank you”, she was extremely rude!!!! I asked when my money would be returned to my account and she just kept repeating “I can call you tomorrow” when I asked to speak with a manager she stated “I can call you tomorrow” I’m completely disgusted with the rudeness of this woman!!! Remember I’m the customer YOU inconvenienced!!! I wish I would have read the awful reviews this place carries! My teenage daughters took swimming lessons here 12-13yrs ago and it was great. Clearly things have changed and this staff has NO care or respect for the community who supports Larson Lifestyle!
Apparently Larson lifestyle center is also advocates for a cashless society and the N.W.O. so if you go plan on jumping thru a bunch of hoops like getting there and having the front desk tell you they no longer accept cash...
Great community gym. There is a pool, and a small weight/cardio area. Hours can be a little confusing so just make sure to keep an eye on the schedule! This is not like some other larger facilities in that most of the staff and members all know each other. If you are looking for a great community/small town feel this is the place for you! The facility is under new management so there are some changes taken place, most have seemed to be for the good!
What kind of dumb health club doesn’t announce when it closes for holidays? That defeats the whole purpose of having a social media in the first place. the pool is always dirty and they never clean it. I can literally feel it. The lifeguards are super lazy and ask for other people to retrieve items from the bottom of the pool because they don’t want to get themselves wet. Go fix yourselves, this place is embarrassing.
Amazing staff & great swimming lessons!
My son does not like pool water. It is too yellow each time he has swim classes
Had a bday party there. Good prices for an hour of swimming and and hours use of the party room.
I would not recommend swim lessons for your kiddos from this facility. On the first day of lessons, my daughter slipped off the platform and struggled in the water for a solid 10 seconds. Her instructors had their backs to her, the lifeguard on duty did not notice, and the pool manager was leisurely floating on a noodle in the middle of the pool and did not notice either. My other daughter was in the same class and was screaming at the instructors that she needed help. This was my worst nightmare. In addition to this, the parents are required to sit in an observation area, so short of pounding on the glass, their was nothing I could do to help my daughter. After this incident, not a single person evaluated her to see if she had swallowed water or should continue with lessons. I had to go to the lifeguard and have her pulled from class and evaluate her myself. The instructors have zero contact with parents unless initiated by the parent. On one occasion during lessons the instructors were trying to teach the breast stroke but refused to get their hair wet to demonstrate proper technique. During our lessons Ive also seen the lifeguard distracted by her cell phone. Needless to say I expected so much more from these swim lessons. I will not be returning and would never recommend lessons here to anyone.-----------------------Update 9/9/2018:The nit wit life guards almost killed another little girl today, apparently the life guards were changing shifts aka, distracted by their phones or simply plagued by a severe deficit of attention. What a shoddy operation. Take your kids here at your own risk!
Kids first attempt at swimming lessons proved unsuccessful. Inattentive supervision in the pool sometimes
Kids love their swim lessons
Easy to sign kids up for swimming lessons. Teachers are great and very attentive. Glad we found them. They have a cheap deal on their memberships and it makes swimming lessons cheaper. Plus we get to work out whenever and use the pool when it is open. Very good options for members.
I love Larson. Its an attached lifestyle center to the Union college campus but provides activities to both students and people of all ages that are not affiliated with the school. It has a nice gym inside of it but the highlight is the swimming pool which alot of people love. It also has very good hours. As a student, I like it alot.
I work with Trinity Lutheran Summer Camp. We have taken the kids here for years but this summer has been horrible. They let one of our 3 year old fall off the diving board NEVER called his parents and NEVER apologized for the accident. The older lady in charge is so rude and when I am in charge of 16 to 18 kids every session it would be nice if you helped me find what class they are in instead of screaming at me to get out of the pool area. Also the teachers DONT communicate with you what is going on in the class when they are done they just drop them off in the locker room and hope for the best...so unprofessional!!! I have had multiple kids dropped off to me crying and I would have no idea why...I am beyond frustrated with the lack of communicate. I hoped they werent hurt or fell I would have no idea because I am not allowed in the pool area and the windows are so dirty I cant see a thing. Trinity will be finding a new place to do swim lessons next summer!
Daughter started swim class here. Staff is friendly, pool is warm!
Inconvenient Sunday hours and regular hours in general are not great. The gym equipment is all a century or two old, the pool is overly chlorinated (made my swimsuit change from white to yellow). The pool has an aweful schedule that isnt communicated to members.
Were always greeted with friendly smiles when we come in. My kids absolutely LOVE swimming lessons here. They ask to go every day. All year long. About to make their dreams come true and sign them up for another session.
Great swimming lesson program for young kids. Its also very affordable compared to other options in the area. My son loves going!
Love the pool! Looking into a membership.
Nice large pool. Locker rooms are clean. Easy access and parking.
Best swimming lessons in town
Has a hot tub and a pool, work out room etc. What youd expect from a lifestyle center
Great bargain.
Nice facility, warm pool, good price.
I
Love it!!!
Great love the diving board
