First time at this theater... We were with a large group of home educating families for a day performance of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. The show was excellent. Sound quality was a bit lacking and so we missed some of the thespian goodness... Yet still. Excellent! Only suggestion for change would be to release the home educating families before releasing all of the the school buses at the end of the show. We are paying for meters so... You know... We want to be respectful, but a 20 minute delay for a bunch of individual families is not terrific. Otherwise, pretty wonderful experience.
I always enjoyed going on field trips here!
I was there for work but it was nice. I plan to go back to see what all they do there
Small theatre with high quality. Everyone can meet the cast after each show.
Absolutely love this place. Each production is thoroughly worked through and is carefully chosen for the time of the year. As an ASM, I can say that we are dedicated to each and every show. Please, do not hesitate to swing by to watch a show or to audition.
What a cute hometown childrens theater! Its great to see a place where kids can share their talents.
Great theater classes for kids!We also enjoy a lot all the plays.
The shows are fantastic, and the staff has been extremely kind and helpful to us. Its a great venue to introduce our children to the arts.
Great facilities put on a sweet ceremony for the young artist of Kentucky. Parking is a pain but was forgotten once inside
Wonderful theater, my kids loved the play and we had a very good time.
The play was actually staged at the opera house and the kids did a really good job. They had crafts and refreshments before the play which was also very nice. The employees were all very friendly and helpful.
Stellar performances. Definitely recommend for educators and students.
Wonderful plays and great staff make the experience memorable. Parking can be difficult so plan accordingly.
Great place to take ur children
I was at the summer theatre camp to help perform Coraline, and if it weren’t for my friends there it would have sucked. All three of my teachers were blunt, insulting, and condescending even when it wasn’t in any way called for. It was very clear that we weren’t wanted there, and as an adolescent my head could barely take it.I don’t want to be here next summer.
Saw my first ever legit theatre performance here around 1989. went with my elementary school to see the nutcracker, which inspired a life-long love of the theatrical arts.
Great performance of Charlie Brown Christmas.
They really nice and all together the performance of sleepy hollow was awesome and the performers listened to everyones questions and answered all of them at the end.
Staff ok.
Low morale, no free parking, expensive tickets for plays
Such a wonderful place to see a show!
I have been acting here a few times and I have never been somewhere that made me feel like I fit in as much as I do there I love this place. very organized and professional
We loved their production of Best Christmas Pageant Ever!
The play, The Little Mermaid, was good - but the place seems outdated it could use a remodel. The parking that said LCT Parking had a man standing outside who just told us it was $7 to park, but there was no sign. It was cash only so it felt a bit sketchy... Heck it could be $5 for all I know but he says $7 so he can put an extra $2 in his pocket per car, is that the case? Well I am not sure... a sign would help eliminate that concern. That way, if like many, you dont have cash on hand you can keep on moving down the road to a parking lot that does take cards.
The Ugly Ducklin performace was just the perfect blend to entertain parents and children. I just loved it!
From 1 to 5 stars, I give this place 10 stars!
The Lexington Childrens Theater has excellent programs and activities for younger children.
