Great place that showcases local talent in the Midlands. The whole family will enjoy!
My kids grew up in this wonderful community of actors. There is a theater family that has developed here at VST.
While not the largest or most elegant of theaters Ive been to that does not take away from the show. I had a front row seat and was afforded a fantastic view and felt almost in the production. I didnt have to look upwards so it was a great seat. The seats are fairly comfortable. The show itself was most excellent and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great place for live performances by a local community theatre. Some plays utilize a unique projector screen for background that adds a interesting depth to the scenery. Additionally, interesting performances by youth actors (junior shows). Personally never involved, but the facility also offers actor workshops throughout the year.
My wife and I saw The Newsies for date night. What a fantastic show! There were a few unavoidable technical difficulties that the cast and crew handled in an extremely professional manner. We are season ticket holders and cant wait to see the next show.
Saw the Mouse Trap. Performance was outstanding. This place is clean, comfortable and the staff goes out of their way with friendly service. Great experience. Bought Season ticket, its well worth it.
Hard to find, worth the effort. 225 seat theater, not a bad seat in the house. Delightful, friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable seats. They serve wine, soda, water at intermission at very reasonable prices. Ticket prices are reasonable for live productions. ( And a senior citizen discount!) I will be back!
Went to see Newsies with some friends. Seats were pretty comfortable and the performance was really good.
This was our 3rd production and it did not dissapoint. The Village Square Theater is conveniently located near our home, easy to purchase tickets online, staff is very friendly and theater is cozy! This is a place the entire family will enjoy! Have also enjoyed conversation with other patrons from rhe community prior to show and at intermission. The actors and actresses are extremely talented, drawing you into the production and stirring all human emotions! A must experience in Lexington, S.C
I was very impressed. Nice amateur local theatre but good value for the money. Nice intimate setting. Seats and views are good for the small setting.
Truly a place where community is the main goal. Wonderful opportunities for young people to try out performing in a safe environment. Friendly people. Go support local theater!!
Excellent talent on display ... the music and singing were high quality ...
Awesome play, Newsie Boys. The talent was awesome.
What a great performance of Alladin Jr. Thanks so much for all the hard work. Everyone should see this extra special cast. No disabilities there, just phenomenal ability!!! I am SO glad that I brought 7 young friends with me, ranging from 8-13. They were completely awestruck.
A good community theater, enjoyed the play! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Patrons around were annoying with coughing, rattling plastic and cell phone noise during the play.
Great atmosphere! Good selection of shows, and comfortable seating.
I loved The Little Shop of Horrors! Great singers and talented actors. Would definitely go back. They offer coffee, sodas, and beer, I think, at intermission. I went with a group of 10 people and we went across the street to the Root Cellar for dinner afterwards. Fun time.
Nicely done production, no bad seats, impressed with cast and crew
One of the best local performance theatres around! Great seating, good selection of plays, wonderful actors who give it their all! Enjoy my evenings there very much!
Great little theatre. They put on a really good show!
Went to see the Wizard of Oz recently and had a great time. If youre looking for something different to do while in Lexington you should check out a play!
Saw a great play. Very friendly staff.
Enjoy the local actors.
Comfortable and great quality all reclining chairs, sound, screen...
Great place, great plays, quality acting, especially for the size town and pool from which forced to draw.
The Village Square Theater in Lexington is a great place for a night out. I love going here to see local talent perform in plays, musicals and performances. The theater is run by the Lexington County Arts Association and they focus on getting people involved in the performing arts. To this end, they offer classes on acting and performing and open auditions for upcoming performances.I definitely recommend giving Village Square a try If you like seeing plays, musicals and having a wonderful evening in a quaint setting. The theater is not readily visible from the main road. It is located behind the Bojangles on Columbia Avenue in Lexington, right by the Bi-Lo Plaza.
Great place to see a play or musical. The seating is great everyone has a good view of the stage
What a treat! This is a small theater, however it was a great experience. I loved seeing so many local kids and adults involved.
We love VST. We try to never miss a show. Its a great family experience.
Such a great community theatre!
The childrens plays are wonderful! Great place for families.
Wonderful venue for family entertainment!
Great local theatre experience! Cute facility.
This is a great place to see plays and musicals. There is nothing like live theatre. They also have great youth programs for young actors & actresses.
Great venue. Me and the wife went to see the sister act and it was great.Looking forward to sleepy hollow.
Saw The Best Christmas Pagent Ever. The actors were good and the play was entertaining. Ticket prices were reasonable at $18 with no other taxes or fees. The Theator does not allow food or drink, so an improvement would be to allow at least bottled, sealed water in. We will likely return
Lovely, little venue. Parking is a bit haphazard once you find the lot. However, the facility itself is clean, with spacious seating and boasts an atmosphere of infectious good times.
From the moment the actors step onto stage, Little Shop of Horrors takes you on a fun and exciting ride. The heart of the show is Seymour (Nathan Gragg), an impoverished orphan living on “Skid Row”, who works at Mushnik’s, a florist store. His boss, Mr Mushnik (Robert Bullock), is ready to close up shop permanently until Seymour and hot-mess-florist Audrey (Melissa Hanna) suggest that he display one of Seymour’s exotic plants in the window.Director T.J. Daley devised brilliant ways of playing with space, giving the set a beautiful flow. Performances are solid throughout, and singers Ronnette (Keya Fowler), Crystal (Amy Hyde) and Chiffon (Jacklyn Colon) are soulful and entertaining, garnering much deserved applause after every tune. Rounding out the cast with a memorable performance (and my favorite part of the show) is the beautiful and entertaining Brett Freed whose angelic voice and great acting complimented the trio. Her performance as a drunk street hooker will have you laughing and applauding as you enjoy this great show at the Village Square Theater in Lexington.
Very good community playhouse featuring mostly local talent that offers a good variety of shows annually at reasonable prices.
Excellent show, MASH. Good time!
Very nice atmosphere and exceptional customer service with warm and welcoming staff.
Very Nice! We use to have church in this building.
Wonderful, been twice !!!! We loved it. We do hope you do the Henderson Christmas again
My wife and I attended a play there and had a good time.
It has been amazing, my daughter went there and now she has confidence to go on stage
Great show!
Very nice, community theater! A hidden gem in Lexington.
