Im so happy to be working with Stars Talent Studio, the team is experienced and professional, but also friendly and helpful. Once I completed the initial work of getting my photos, resume, and demo reels together I took acting classes provided by their Conservatory on site which taught me so much and were really fun. With the ground work all completed I started getting more bookings than I ever imagined. Being a veteran performer but new to the area its been so nice to have the pros at Stars working on my behalf to get me not just a lot of auditions, but the right auditions for me. From my first meeting with Stars to my first PAID booking was exactly 2 months to the day. That is even more impressive when you consider that booking came after only 10 days of auditions once I finished the acting classes. Take it from me, if youre a professional and you are ready to work, then you wont go wrong at Stars!

I used to book Talents from different Modeling Agencies, Stars Talent Studio is the worst experience ever. Their talents are always late and you end up paying talent from other modeling agency, cameraman/photographer that arrive on time and studio rental more. You contact them at least one or 2 weeks prior to book the talent. And they confirm talent will be available. When you are waiting for the talent, they call you, do conference call to plan talent arrival, talent was never notified of the booking. You ask them for an invoice, they completely ignore you. Dont ever book from them. Very unprofessional.

My wife and I brought our daughter into Stars almost 2 years ago. We sat down and met with Amber and could tell right away that she loves her job and has such a great passion and energy for helping her Talent find work. She was straight forward with us about the process and what would become ups and downs working in the industry. I always have appreciated that straight forward approach.On that day almost 2 years ago Amber signed not only my young daughter, but my wife and myself. Since then we have become paid Talent for commercials, print modeling, and roles in films. We are never treated like a number, or a picture on the wall. We are treated like family by Amber and her team. They work tirelessly to get work for their Talent and do so with the highest character and morals.As hard as it can be to train and hone the craft of acting and modeling, it is nice to know that the people at Stars are working just as hard (probably harder) to find us work. It has been wonderful working with Amber, Liz and the Stars Talent Studio staff this past year. I am so excited to announce my daughters first SAG commercial thanks to Stars. We have felt very well prepared for our auditions and have enjoyed their classes.

This infamous agency is a scam. The first thing they ask you to do is pay money (RED FLAG) to use their website.When I was with this agency I would get emails all the time for casting calls that werent for me. When there was finally a casting call that WAS for me, I would have to pull teeth just to get the information I needed to have to go to the actual audition. A few times I didnt even receive ANY information (despite numerous calls & emails) & had to completely miss my audition. Once I even got a script that I was supposed to have 100% memorized by the next day at 2 AM the night before my audition.I eventually decided to quietly leave the agency by writing a simple email stating I was disappointed with how I was treated & requested a refund on my money. I received a response from the companys CFO apologizing for my experience & they kindly refunded my money.I was happy with how our professional relationship had ended until I received a second email from Amber. This email was filled with childish insults, personal attacks & threats to ruin my image in the entertainment business. I was floored with how rude she was to me. I responded to her, telling her that I had already spoken to the CFO & did not need her childish attitude.I am with a different agency now, & I now know that this company has been known to lie to their talent & often try to scam them out of money.Do not bring your hopes & dreams here.

Start Talent Studio is definitely a 5 stars agency. Amber and her stuff are awesome! they all work really hard to make sure you are feeling welcome and prepared to represent starts. If you have what it takes they will do everything to get you to the right path to your success.

Dont even waste your time!! My husband and daughter each did a different project and neither have been paid. one being back in August and the other in October of 17. And all we get is the run around about they give the company 90 days to pay well its been that and sone.

I signed with Stars around August of 2016, and i have been with them since. When I first started out, Amber and the entire staff worked very hard to make sure that all the talent had a good relationship with them so they can get to know their talent. They made an effort to get to know me, which is amazing considering how busy they are. I started off with the 8 week class package that covers many of the industry basics and i learned SO much from those classes. I have a tiny notebook full of notes that i often refer to before auditions and jobs to refresh my memory. When i started out i was around a tier 2-3, but Amber was crazy motivational. after every scene i did she would tell me what i did good, give some essential feedback, then finish it off with another compliment. Amber even shows up to many of the acting classes which gives the talent an opportunity to get to know her better and show her what they’ve got. i believe that is essential to being successful in this business. having someone be by your side the entire time, who has such a positive attitude and impact on your life, is one of the main things you need! i can not stress enough how their support has kept me going. I have noticed at Stars we are all there to help each other succeed. Amber and the staff work so hard which motivates their talent to do the same, and set such a great example. Not to mention how AMAZING the staff is. Liz Mccaffrey has been such a help in my life and she has been there from the beginning. She helped me make my entire demo reel, from filming, to driving me around to locations, to editing the reel and even recommending scripts for me to use that fit me. she was honest and gave me great feedback that helped me improve. At stars, it really is a family and you get to know so many great people that stay in the industry long enough to see results. I have now had a few speaking roles in short films, and i can thank stars for that! they gave me the training, motivation, and connections needed to get there. Ever since day 1 the staff was so kind. i have NEVER had a negative experience at stars. i love stars talent studio!!! i seriously can NOT recommend them enough, i really can’t! stars is amazing!! ️️

If you are reliable and check in with them as required they will trust that you can go in auditions and represent the agency. If they get to know you and trust you, I am sure they will submit you for castings. They have tons of work. This is an agency that doesnt rip you off, here they train you to be a talent, thats if you arent already a trained professional. If you are already qualified to work as a talent this company will go to the extent to find you opportunities. They work EXTREMELY hard to develop positive role models in this tough industry and that is something that is worth investing your time and business in. Remember that being a talent is owning your OWN business and managing you as the product; so with that being said know that YOU are the product you have to market. You cannot make money if you are not a trained professional.

Wow...dishonest much?? They only charge $600 for acting classes, and $100 to be featured on the website...so whoever is talking about paying hundreds of dollars to be on the website, is just straight up lying. They even offered a payment plan to get me trained in classes when I went in to see them!! They were soooo kind! I think its pretty entertaining that people think they can walk in to an agency, with ZERO training or experience, and expect the agency to immediately send them out on well-paying jobs, without being trained. Lols! Too funny!! Hellooooo!! I dont know of ANY profession that requires zero training. Im reading through the bad reviews and laughing. I actually went in for an appointment, and just didnt follow through with the training, due to some difficulties in my life at the time. However, they were honest and straight forward with me, and just wanted me to be trained to get better paying work. However, they didnt try to force me in to registering for classes. They said if I only wanted to do extras work, I didnt even need training! So yeah, Im giving them 5 stars for, 1. being honest, 2. being the most affordable place in Utah to get trained in acting, 3. Having an affordable fee to be viewed on their website, and 4. Not charging me to sign a contract with them. So, thank you Stars! Ill come back some day when life settles down.

Stars Talent is great! I never thought Id be someone involved in an industry like this. Me an actor? Not likely! That is until Amber spotted me and right away she knew I had something to offer the world. Stars has helped me become a better person! I booked a 30,000$ commercial through Stars!

My baby has been with Stars for 9 months and already done a few modeling shoots for national campaigns!I NEVER thought wed get into baby modeling, but decided to check it out for our little one. After some google searching we met with Stars and signed with them! I knew nothing of the industry, except for the fact that I didnt want to pay anything up front (I read the horror stories online). Stars never asked for any money up front, which gave me a very good feeling about them from day one. They take 15% fee from whatever our baby makes, which is totally reasonable and motivates them to find her work!Its been exciting to see our babys pictures throughout Walmart and to be able to add some of her own hard earned money to her bank account!Ive sent a couple of friends their way already. Stars Talent are good people to work with.

I should have trusted my instincts the first time, but I wanted to give Stars a chance. First, I was asking several pertinent questions over Emails about this agency, they kept evading my questions over and over. Then they point me to their CODE of CONDUCT It basically says they are professional and the talent should act professional too. Again they never answered my questions and just wanted me in for an interview. So I scheduled an interview, Their Code of Conduct says be early, I was, and no one was at their store front, except three other people waiting to get in, everything was locked up @ 11:00am! After making a few calls and leaving messages, I wanted to know, if I had the date & time wrong, should I wait, will or when will anyone show? Amber called me back, making excuses, why it was OK and excusable for her to be late, and why nothing was unlocked. And Then Amber Hung up on me! WOW! A business owner treating a potential talent like that? You only get one chance to make a first impression. Then Sheree calls me back apologizing, and tells me this is just the way the industry is.

I loved working with stars for the past few years. They were professional and personable :D I especially appreciated them working with my religious beliefs and setting me up with photo shoots that I was comfortable with, i.e appropriate wardrobes and working with clients that I supported. They were constantly sending me auditions to go to and bookings to work with. 5 stars for sure!

If you think Stars is a scam, you obviously didnt put the work into it. I have been around the talent industry most all my life and I know a bad apple when I see one... this one is fresh off the tree. Amber knows the talent industry from her talents prospective, having been a former Ms. New York. Being that Im both a signed talent and an intern, I know all facets of her business fairly well and I personally guarantee that Ambers agency isnt a scam. She genuinely cares about her talent and if she thinks you have potential, she will absolutely go out of her way to make sure you get what you need to be successful. Thats because she cares about her talents as people rather than assets. Nothing makes her happier than seeing her talents succeed. You cant make it as long as she has in a business this competitive without being good at what you do, and her business will only improve with the way its starting to grow. Believe me, you want to be signed here.

I LOVE STARS!!!! Ive been with them for almost a year now and they have been super nice, and really helpful in boosting my modeling/acting career! They let me take free training classes since I interned with them in exchange for my time, and the owner, Amber, is the SWEETEST person youll ever meet. I really feel that they are promoting positive role models in the industry and I would definitely recommend them. All the people who leave bad reviews are usually the ones who were too lazy to get their resume updated and headshot/ZED cards done. Stars wont send untrained talent to gigs because it makes them look bad, and if youre out changing your hair color every week or getting tattoos all over your body and not responding to casting calls and not updating your portfolio images with them, of course you can expect to receive no work! Theyre a professional agency, I understand they represent (and expect to be represented by) professional models and actors! I love Stars!

Dont trust this agency! They are scam artists. We paid hundreds of dollars just to cover fees to have the agencies web developers to add our headshots to their website. After submitting professional photos to the agency, they told us they werent up to par and the kids needed to wear different colored clothing in the photos. So we went to a different photographer and took new photos. They then said that the new ones didnt have the look and the kids had fake smiles I asked why all the other headshots on their site did not follow the same guidelines and they said they were in the process of cleaning their website up. Their third party system Podio is terrible. I would upload photos and fill out the profile several times just to have the entire profiles and answers get deleted. They agents would call me and leave voicemails for me to contact them about jobs and then I would call them back and never hear back from them. When they DID call me back, none of them had any idea who called me or why. I took my son in for one of our monthly check ins and the owner got hostile with me in front of my 9 year old boy because I asked about the other headshots on their site. She was very unprofessional to the point where her own employees were apologizing on her behalf. We paid money and never got on the site or got any help with any talent services or even possible auditions. They kept telling me I SHOULD use them to create comp cards and get professional services done because the ones I got from other professional photographers did not have the look. I have chosen to go to another agency and have seen a world of difference in the service, technology and auditions. Just take the time to look around and even pay more for a place where you will get a return on your investment.
