In this Covid environment the melon patch theatre has figured out a way to keep live theater alive and safe for all concerned.

I have seen several plays here and never have I been disappointed. Todays presentation of Footloose was no exception. Well directed and choreographed, with an amazing cast!!!!

Small theater group with a big heart. We have tickets for all the shows and have not been disappointed! Seats are very comfortable so it makes it more enjoyable. Excellent show!

This is a charming little theatre! Better still are the actors..simply amazing. Highly recommended. Would love to see them again. Their next play is: Every Christmas Story..loved the audience participation in The Murder of Edwin Drood.

Ive seen Noises Off on Broadway; Ive seen the movie with Michael Caine, Carol Burnett, et al, and Ive seen productions of the play in other small theaters. As far as Im concerned, last nights performance by the Melon Patch Players held its own with those other venues.Well done, indeed.

Loved Footloose! Well done. Loved including younger performers. So much talent.

Saw the play A Few Good Men and it was great. Acting was very good, afterwards the cast was in the lobby for a meet and greet. It was a very good way to spend the evening.

Excellent show and a wonderful comfortable theatre. This was my first experience of going there as I usually travel to Gainesville but I was impressed with the theatre as well as the players. Its too bad that more people do not go and support this theatre group who work so hard. I have season tickets this year and very glad about my decision.

Nice theater. A little pricey but all the money is or a good cause! The only BAD thing about this place, Is the dont allow you to take pictures or videos. I paid $18 to see my friend and I am not allowed to even take a picture. If you do, rude people smack you on the shoulder lol

I have been to many Melon Patch productions & have never been disappointed...until last night. We attended opening night of Blythe Spirit & literally, heard so little of the dialogue, we left after Act I. I would have left earlier but, that would have been rude.In my experience, the actors are to project so that the audience in the last row hears everything. The actors played to themselves, ignoring the audience. It is the directors job to sit in that last row & make sure the audience takes full advantage of the hard work & effort the cast puts forth. From the beginning, I wondered why the cast wasnt miced. The male lead appeared to be wearing a mic but, I didnt think it was turned on. FYI, I wear hearing aids & they were turned to full volume !Kudos to a terrific set & costuming.
