This place is gorgeous. It doesnt seem to be that well-known to people that live outside of Lebanon. I took my wife and son here and we spent a solid 3 or 4 hours. We hiked the 2 mile loop. The hike itself wasnt difficult. The environment was clean, the trail was well-maintained and easy to navigate. After the hike, we went to one of the shelters with the big tables to have lunch before we headed back home. The lady in the visitors center was very helpful and gave us a map of the trail and made some extra markings on it to clarify some things about the area. It was a fun trip for me and my family; a good hiking trail and outdoor that is reasonably close to Nashville (

A great place for family fun, a quiet get away, a wedding, a date, or even pictures. They have added quite a few things there lately to do. Frisbee golf is always fun! Their playground has been expanded & they have new equipment. They even have a nice basketball court.

We stayed overnight on a trip from Memphis to Gatlinburg and we were very impressed with this park. The sites were level, clean and well-kept. Most sites are pull-through. They are fairly close together, but the sites on the outside perimeter are more secluded. The park is well shaded and quiet. We will definitely be back for more than just a pass through stay!

Just recently found this park. What an amazing place. It is great for camping and using one of the cabins or checking out the trails like we did. They are well marked and the scenery changes quick enough that there seems to always be something new and beautiful to check out. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location. We came here and it rained most of the weekend, but we still had an absolute blast. We saw deer! The cabins are clean and provide cups and plates and such. We ended up needing to bring all of the pillows into one room, so you may want to bring extra pillows. Most food delivery places won’t deliver to here.

Took the family here for a hike a couple of days ago and to be honest the trail that we did do which was a 2 Mile loop left much to be desired. It kind of reminded me of being a kid having to walk through the woods just to get to something and there was nothing really that interesting to look at or view. Its literally just woods and a path with the occasional sinkhole or mild Rock stacks. probably advisable to have some ivy wash on hand when you get off of these trails as I did happen to note quite an extensive amount of poison ivyclose to the trails which wouldnt be that big of a surprise in the woods but its more than I see on other trails.

Was visiting Tennessee and wanted to get in a hike. Did the Hidden Springs Trail (5 miles) and it was excellent. Would rate it as moderate due several rocky areas and the distance, but overall good way to get in some exercise. Beautiful scenery as well. Maps are provided at the park office.

Nice wooded Park with lots of shade. Loop 3 is new and is big rig friendly with lots of space between sites. Loop 1 and 3 both have 50 amp service with water. Dump station only. Take loop 3 if you can get it. All sites are awesome. Loop 1 is still 50 amp with water but is older with less space between sights. Loop 2 is 20 / 30 amp and water with large private sites. Just missing 50 amp for big rigs.

Our favorite picnic and hiking spot. New trails and bridges in the making as of 2020. Playgrounds, tennis, basketball court and nature center for education. Rentable wedding and reception buildings. Marked and named plants and greenery near education center. Bird nesting build near education center for bird watching. Lots of rentable cabins and pavilions or bring your camper. Check in office and information center visible on the drive in. There are many benches and picnic tables spread out throughout the park. Rugged trails as well as paved places to walk. Handicap parking and restrooms in a few locations.

We went yesterday just to explore the park. We were disappointed that the swimming pool was closed However, I read a sign that said it was closed for the season for reconstruction. So, instead of giving 3 stars. I will give five. We looked at the outside of the cabins and went through one campground. I thought just looking at the outside of the cabins it was really neat. We do plan to come and hike. Anyway, thanks for the adventure!

I go to Cedars of Lebanon to mainly hike on the Hidden Springs trail for some exercise. It mostly is a nice trail but they have a definite problem with horse riders ignoring the trail markings and are constantly on the hiking trails and not on the horse trails. The horseback riders dont seem to care that they are on the hiking trails. To me this is definitely a safety issue for both hikers and riders. The hiking trails frequently have groups with small children and dogs. Either of these could easily startle a horse and result in severe injury or death. There is no part of that trail that does not show signs that horseback riders are frequently using it instead of the horse trails. Half the time Im hiking on that trail I have to stop and get off the trail so the horse riders can go by.

I recently spent a weekday at the park, not as a camper but just for the trails. The park is dog friendly as long as the animal is well behaved and kept on a leash. I frequently take my dog on hikes, so I appreciate this. The park on the surface is lovely; and if youre staying there as a camper, it appears there is plenty to do. My main experience, however, was with the trails, and I give them a thumbs up. I took the Cedar Forest Trail which is just under 2 miles long and a relatively easy hike. The landscape is beautiful --thick forest, cedar glades and limestone. I didnt see any wildlife, but that may have been due to the time of day.We also took the Limestone Sink trail which is short, just under a half mile, but interesting. Lots of limestone features and the oak tree gall. Skip the self-guided tour though--very few markers still exist that I could see.The one negative about the park is there seemed to be a lot of traffic not complying with the 15 mile per hour speed limit. All in all a good experience and I recommend a visit.

I wouldnt advise doing a wedding there. We had ours May of 2015 and one of the buildings we rented the air quit working. We told them about it after the fact and they did nothing. The person i spoke to was rude saying i got a good deal on the seating and what not that they wasnt gonna do anything to make it right. I know one things for sure we will never rent either of their buildings again.

Drove from Louisiana 9 hours to a closed pool although the website indicates NOTHING about it being closed. The primary reason we elected to stay here was the big pool. The Area around the cabin had trash. A few roaches were spotted in Kitchen and Bathroom. A tick on the love seat. Nice cabin besides that . Trails were good but not alot else to do with pool shut down for the season. Tennessee is beautiful, Lebanon is a nice town but Id not recommend Cedars for your stay.

Had an event about 25 minutes away, so I didnt spend much time there, but...Its beautiful.Clean well maintained bathroom and shower facilities.AffordableWater and electric at the siteHuge parking spacesI cant speak for all the sites, but my site was a gravel pad. This is not an issue, but its worth knowing ahead of time. If youre tent camping you will likely want to bring a base layer for under your tent for comfort sake, or be prepared to pitch it in the parking pad blacktop. You may also want to consider ways to weigh your tent down if staking it is not an option.I would absolutely stay here again.

While the park is nice, sitting on over 1100 acres with some cabins perfect for a getaway, a few things are irritating. Mostly, the trail markings.I’ve had to hunt for two trailheads, the Dixon Merritt trail & Cedar Glades. Perhaps my sense of direction has been spoiled by an over reliance on Google maps, but I needed assistance in ferreting out these elusive trail heads. When you do find the trail, they are often in poor maintenance and rather overgrown in some spots. The playground is desperate for some shade and the visitors center could use a little more character. But I love the nature center which quite often has kids holding a rat snake. Behind the center lies a fun detour around the rocks which I have found storybook size millipedes. I feel rather ridiculous, citing minor beefs with a state park that has quite a few amenities, but it’s those small things that get me.

I usually visit this park for the disc golf course which has recently been cleaned up and improved. The park itself has campgrounds and a cool nature center with reptiles that they let the public handle and watch feeding time. There is a cave onsite that has guided tours. The large swimming pool has been closed for renovations this season but should be back for 2020.The camp store is small but well equipped and the staff is very nice. There is no lake on this property which Ive not seen in a state park before. Thats the only reason I have for the 4 stars, but its no fault of the park itself.

Located southeast of Nashville, Tennessee, this is the park we stayed in for several days over the Solar Eclipse weekend. The park is well-maintained and has a lot of things to offer visitors even when the sun isn’t playing hide and seek with the moon. Biking and hiking are available here, as well as a large playground area for kids, a giant swimming pool, a small nature center with some local critters and a giant cave. Be warned that if you want to go into the cave, you need to dress appropriately for muddy and, if you go in far enough, possible waist-high water conditions. Also, as you can imagine, it gets very dark, very fast inside there so bring plenty of adequate lighting. The 2-mile Cedar Loop trail offers some relatively easy hiking with nice surroundings to enjoy.
