This place has beautiful unpaved walking trails and access to the creek. There is a big sign explaining the history of the area. This area has many tall, beautiful trees and a variety of flowers. You may also see some wildlife!

Beautiful walk through meadows and woods with a creek running through it. Very quiet. Easy mile or so hike. Just lovely.

The walk itself is quite lovely. I didnt make it around the whole area with my toddler but cant wait to go back. What really makes it fascinating is the history. I tend to ignore those little info boards at trailheads but this one is worth reading beforehand, so you can get a true appreciation for the people who once called this land home. It is not paved so I was unsure whether this spot would be stroller accessible based on pictures. My toddler was too grumpy to walk so we tried it and it was mostly doable but a lot of work. Only one fork was too uneven with tree roots so we had to go the other way. it is mostly flat but very grassy. Next time we come back I will not be bringing the stroller, however the trails are wide with tons of room for little ones to run around, and not a lot of incline so if your kids enjoy walking its a perfect spot to set them loose. there are even benches to rest at. I will say none of the trails are marked at all so pay attention to which direction you go.

Peaceful and quiet. No one was there. True, not much to see unless you appreciate the history of it. But if you do, it’s beautiful. Very short walk around the whole complex, less than 2 miles.

We went in May, all it was walking through a field that had a path mowed. You just followed the mowed path. We didn’t see any sort of mounds or even markers with historical information. We just walked a mile through a field. Maybe it is a winter thing when there isn’t so much grass.

Nice, quiet & peaceful walk. The ancient works are still visible and it’s amazing to see what native Americans created 700-1,000 years ago.
