Those who complain about this place are probably country club 66 handicappers. This course is good, but is hard. They do it without a single bunker, which is even harder. Those who know about process variation, should now know how long it is going to take to play a golf round on a busy day, so that’s not a valid complaint for me. It has the same issue other golf courses have in Austin, nobody takes care of the greens, but still, a great challenging and beautiful golf course in the Texas hill country!
Completely update! Had no idea. Greens were true, and fairways were green. The gentlemen in the proshop was kind and knowledgeable. Will recommend to my friends.
The course is great, thell screw you over if you book through GolfNow and anything goes wrong. A friend and I started a round and shortly into it I got injured. We requested a raincheck and initially they said yes, but after checking their computer and seeing we booked through GolfNow they said take it up with them. Its not like the golf course didnt get paid for the round. It would have cost them nothing to issue the raincheck. Instead it cost them repeat business b/c I enjoy the course. Ill play elsewhere now.
Course was is great shape. Fairly difficult with lots of elevation changes. Enjoyed it.
Not sure how anyone could give this course anything less than 5 stars.Absolutely Beautiful course, in great shape! Very challenging but very fun!
Imagine having a great day on the course with your family just to be cussed out by Jeff Regalado for not returning the carts by 7:30pm. Then, after you apologize, you’re told to never come back.
Played here a couple weeks ago on a Thursday morning and the greens were bare and it was like putting on glass. The people playing behind us were very pushy and rude. They got the marshal on us to hurry up...we told him we finished our front 9 in a little over 1.5 hours, and we were actually putting (unlike the group behind us who were playing on the red/white tees). The pro in the golf shop was nice. Other than that, stay away - there are other courses in Austin that have better experiences and after talking to some friends about Crystal Falls, they say similar things.
Always beautiful and always fun to play.
Rolling hills, huge drop par 3s, fast, deceptive greens - had a great time.
Went here with my family. Jeff Regalado is rude and unprofessional. There is no excuse for his behavior. Will not recommend this course until he is fired.
Great Staff! Always Friendly. And Course is always in the Best Condition.
I havent played here in at least 10 years. I cant remember it being this good. For a muni course, it puts some of the private courses on notice. Very challenging and fun. I really enjoyed my round today and i am looking forward to returning very soon.
Good course, in good shape.
First time to play here and very pleased with conditions, layout, and pricing. Senior and veteran discounts. Crystal Falls not in tee time apps, use courses website.
Hidden gem for the price. Just make sure you hit em straight!
After reading previous reviews I decided to play this course during my visit to the Austin area and I am glad I did. The course was affordable, very well maintained and the course offered some great scenery.
Really solid course in great shape. Staff friendly. No cart girl, which surprises me. Dont expect extra frills but tough course.
Difficult course, challenging
Crystal Falls is the best course in the area for the money. The course is beautiful, well maintained, and the staff were friendly. The course was also challenging and fun to play. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a great hill country golf course close to Austin.
This course is so beautiful with its rolling hills and scenery. It has some very interesting elevated holes. Greens and fairways are in fantastic condition. Staff is friendly. Cost is reasonable. A real hill country gem.One thing I would love to see them add though... Ya they have a grill that can make burgers etc, but it would be great if they had a decent restaurant facility like Lago Vista has put together at their city owned course. Living in Grand Mesa area myself, this would be a welcome addition to have a decent place to eat that was close. Nothing too fancy, but a place you can go get a nice breakfast/lunch/dinner. I think that would be a winner. City of Leander should consider that.
I will definitely be back to this place, awesome course!
Great course!! Very challenging with all the elevation changes. Would play again.
This was a really fun golf course with a lot of elevation changes. The greens are fast and challenging. The carts include GPS so you wont waste your cell phone battery. I would totally recommend course
Great course! Plenty of undalation, with each hole presenting a unique and different challenge.
Great golf course. I have played here at least 20 times and it has always been great. Its not a long course but very challenging. Its the middle of the summer, very hot and dry but the course is in great condition.
Always a difficult but outstanding course. Kept in great shape for the summer weve had. Great crew and facility.
Great views of the Texas Hill Country. Not a straight putt on the course.Carts come with a low cost GPS.
Great golf course very well-maintained, at least every time I’ve been there it’s always well-maintained. What my favorite golf courses in the Austin area I don’t leave five star reviews for just anybody.
Beautiful hill country golf course
Great place to play. Take extra golf balls. Beautiful place, with dear all over the course.
Good place to play and socialize.
Tough course! Beautiful, though, totally worth it.
Fun course,in great condition.
Excellent course, greens need a lot of work or they would have got a five star. Got an online deal for super tee time prices, not very busy, so great round of golf.
This is the best course I have ever played for the money. Dollar for dollar you will not get better quality. The people are nice, the course is awesome, and the carts give you the yardages. Mix in a couple of par threes off cliffs and you have yourself a great experience.
Its been a few years since I last played the course. Alot of changes with the course, all good. What was disappointing was the cart fee of $36 (2 people) using a gift certificate for a round.
Yes, this course is challenging, and yes the fairways are tight. That said, the greens are always in tip-top shape and the staff is some of the friendliest around. I am looking forward to many more rounds and good times at Crystal Falls Golf Course.
Great course that’s challenging, scenic, and fun to play.
Great all-round value for hill country golf
Pro shop staff was so accommodating to a couple of tourists who got lost! Well- maintained course and very reasonable greens fees. Will be returning next vacation.
As neat, fun and maintained a golf course as youll play! Staff here is tip top! If you are anywhere near here this is a must play!
Nice course. Pretty. Tough without making me look like the amatuer I am.
Crystal Falls Country Club in Lindale Texas I highly recommend if youre in the area and your golfer visit the golf courses in the Hill Country the golf course is awesome the people there are very friendly and very helpful and the golf carts they just give you the yardage to do what you need to do so enjoy yourself and visit the Country Club Crystal Falls and have fun.

Beautiful and scenic. Really enjoyed being here.
One of good public course in Austin
Top notch shape and they finally got rid of the mean wild turkeys
Challenging layout, fine shape!
Great place to golf
Great course...lovr the elevation changes. Inexpensive.
Great course! Beautiful views!
Not an easy course, especially from back tees. Like playing however, because if you can play this course well, others should be easy.
It was a beautiful course and a great day! Everyone was really nice, met a lot of friendly people
Great course in the Hill Country with friendly staff and great scenic views. Best kept secret in the Austin area.
Great course; fun to play without being too easy. It is challenging for a first-timer, and not conducive to fast play, but great for folks who want a nice scenic course, challenging design, and quality equipment/service.
Theres no bunker and beautiful waters all around
Challenging, yet beautiful. Great staff.
I liked the rental club set.
Fun and pretty course
Pretty good course.
Greens need about a month to grow in fully
Great course for a great price
Great golf course.
