Gorgeous.. long route to public shore line and no public restroom anywhere around lake.. but awesome views.. gravel street.. shabby cute picnic tables..

Great place if people would take care of it. At the tent camping area there is an inlet to the water where so many people just dump their trash. Last time I went with my dogs and the kept trying to eat the dozens of dead fishing these people keep throwing all over the place. Been going here since i was a kid but it definitely needs so better upkeep. It was way better before the city if lawton bought it.

Had a blast there enjoying a boat trip with good people.

Beautiful place!! Swimming area needs a few safety measures in place but nice location for family and friends to gather, cook, play, relax, launch boats and park RVs. Will definitely return!

Camped here for two nights. BEAUTIFUL views as you can see from the pictures attached. Nice campsites with a covered shelter and picnic table at each site. A couple things to note though.1. There is only one bathroom. It is at the south end of the campground and looks like it hasnt been updated in 30+ years. The shower stalls do not have shower curtains or rods.2. There is a VERY busy highway 100-200 feet away from all of the campsites. A lot of LOUD diesel trucks ROAR by here at all hours of day and night. So BRING EARPLUGS if you would like to be able to sleep at night! Especially if you are tent camping! I forgot mine the first night and slept horribly. The 2nd night I had bought some and they blocked out all the noise and I slept much better.3. Each covered shelter has a light socket. It may or may not have a light bulb already in it. So bring your own and you wont have to use a lantern. There are circuit breakers for each site that control the electricity.4. There are a lot of biting ant hills around the campground. We took rocks from the fire ring and placed one by each ant hill in and around our campsite so we would be able to see be aware of them day and night.5. The non-preferred campsites are just as nice and have just as great of views as the preferred campsites. So save yourself $5.

Great swing place but then we dont have a choice if you want to go to the lake. We had a great time and go as often as we can.

I lowered the rating here, because our campsite has had an ice chest stolen two weekends in a row. One right out of a tent. Scairy.

WE LUV IT OUT THERE, WE GO CAMPING, JUST ME AND MY HUSBAND TO GET AWAY AND RELAX, BUT TIMES WHEN WE TAKE OUR GRANDCHILDREN WITH US WE ALL GO SAILING ON OUR BOAT, HIKING, CLIMBING UP SO MANY MOUNTAINS . YES ITS A GREAT PLACE TO GO TO RELAX AND ENJOY A NICE CAMPFIRE. LAWTON POLICE DEPARTMENT MAKES THERE ROUNDS TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS IN CHECK..... I JUST HAVE ONE CONCERN OUT THERE AND REMEMBER EVERYONE THAT GOES OUT THERE ON A REGULAR BASIS AND NEWCOMERS PICK UP YOUR TRASH!!!! THEY HAVE DUMPSTERS OUT THERE SO THERE IS NO EXCUSE. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS......... LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU LEFT IT

Great place to hang out, swim, boat and kayak.. Although the facilities are stinky and need to be improved and kept clean. The bath house at the camp grounds is old and diffently needs to be rebuilt. Embarrassing actually.. plus more trees could be planted and a little more money could be put into the camp grounds. Also a few more campsites could be built. .

Swimming area is IMPOSSIBLE to find. Not only that but when we arrived it was a joke. Plenty of sheltered areas with tables and grills but the only restrooms are porta pottys. No showers to rinse off when youre done before getting in your vehicle. Website I found about the lake says there are bathhouses. The only ones I saw were 2+ miles away from the swimming area at the RV parks because people living in RVs definitely need them. Had to change into swimwear in our vehicle because we thought thered be a place to change. Absolute joke, will not be back.
