Shopping at Wonder Fair is such a treat every time! The stock is carefully curated and so fun. Fair warning, it is nearly impossible to window shop here- you will always want to walk out with something! 5 stars for sure, cant wait to visit their haunted bathroom again someday!

I was in this store today and they come off as dismissive. I indicated I needed assistance with the fountain pens and hung around the case where they were and was completely ignored. I will not visit this establishment in future as they obviously don’t want or need to sell to me. I know covid is a challenge but I evidently didn’t lather up quick enough when I came in the door so they made sure to incur their displeasure with my slowness. It’s not as if I touched anything before I lathered up either.

This store has the most AMAZING selection of pens! It is full of personality and activism too. As a Bullet Journalist and aspiring hand-lettering artist, I cannot stay away from this great little shop!!!

They stock some of the best pens, pencils and most importantly ink. I often go in for some ink and leave with another pen or journal because the staff is so nice.

As far as stationery shops go, this is truthfully one of the best in the KC/Lawrence/Topeka metro areas. Very well stocked with high quality items.Plus, they have Dave the shop cat, and a haunted bathroom. What more could you want?

This is amazing space for people that enjoy the old school way of things... In the sense of writing on paper. Their collection of pens and sketchbook, notebooks, and planners are my favorite. Plus the collections of zines and local art in the back is always a plus. The in house cat is also a cutie... Dont let him out.

The nicest employee helped me today, and wasnt even phased by my inquisitive toddler or crying infant. She was so helpful and gifted my 2 year old with a sticker at checkout . I love the assortment of stationary items, journals, and high quality pens. Perfect for artists or doodlers!

Such a fun eclectic shop! So many stationary supplies, as well as books, journals, enamel pins, patches, and stickers. In the back room they also have a beautiful selection of local art for sale. Definitely also say hi to the shop kitty Dave, if he decides to bless you with his presence.

Charming gift shop and place to inspire creative wonder. You can purchase supplies here too for journaling and other paper arts and crafts. Some Lawrence inspired gifts and other prints to frame. Even find postcards here!!! They are modern ones, not your local truck stop flair. Just go check it out, my words dont do it justice.

Great prices for a local shop too, most items are same prices as you can find online, some a bit more expensive and in rare cases even cheaper. This place is SO LEGIT. Meredith is a stellar service provider with staggering product knowledge. Their writing pencil offerings are TOP SHELF! I was wildly impressed with the range of very fine manual sharpeners (German and Japaneee steel!!) and ink pens. I asked for a specific item which they did not have and they gladly ordered it. It arrived promptly and I purchased extra items when I went to collect it. This place gives the kind of focused, friendly, and passionately informed customer service that is of a bygone era. Thank you for your very hard work and meticulous attention to detail.

Part gallery, part store Wonder Fair is exactly what its name suggests. Come to stock up on supplies, stay to read the zines, and come back for the rotation of arts and crafts in the back. Also, looking for a gift for someone hard to buy for? They regularly put together sets and kits of stuff that anyone who knows how to write, or is learning to, will love.

Helpful staff- great place to pick up stationary, pins, and patches

This is a good place to wonder into and spend 15 or 20 minutes looking around. Its a quirky store with t-shirts, cards, little hand drawn art books and similar stuff. They also have a wide variety of art supplies that seem slightly expensive to me, but I dont know a lot about good quality supplies. They also feature art from local artists which is always interesting.

I must visit the shop every time were in Lawrence. The staff is super friendly and funny, and theres always new stuff to peruse. Shirts, stationery, gifts, art, books, pins... so much to want to take home! The inspiration, humor, creativity, and good vibes of the shop epitomize Lawrence memories for me. Keep up the good work, folks.

Some of the art supplies are on the pricier side but thats to be expected downtown. That being said, I love this shop! It has a great selection of unique gifts, plus I dig the local flavor!

The coolest place. Was in Lawerence for my brothers state competition and we had a couple hours so, being the stationary fanatic I am, saw this and had to go. So cool and I could spend hours in there. The only bad part was that I dont live closer.

Any store that sells a rug that rants on how great a system socialism is....that store is a joke. Using capitalism to promote socialism. Hypocrites. They also painted a naked woman on their window in the busiest part of town, and Im talking like a crude painting, so you know theyre keeping it classy. Honestly its a stain on Mass Street.

Overall great assortm.ent of items at a reasonable price. If youre more liberal leaning this place has some great books and bumper stickers for you, amoung other things. The assortment of art and office supplies is astounding say the least. They have basically any notebook, pen (including fountain pens), pencil, or any other mark making instrument your heart may desire. Check it out, you wont regret it!

I normally would be here to write good things. Unfortunately this time I am not. I would like to say that, I went 2 days ago and the employee was TERRIBLE! She accused my friend and I of stealing, and said to look up our SLEEVE! I understand that asking for somebody’s large bag, to hold is a safety precaution...but demanding someone to PULL UP THERE JACKET SLEEVE is just a EXTREMELY uncomfortable situation to be in! Neither I or my friend felt in any way comfortable in that situation, and were disgusted at the way we were being treated. It is very embarrassing to be accused of stealing in front of everybody (which we were NOT) by a yelling store employee. I love wonderfairs art supplies (although extremely expensive), but it is such a shame people must act like that. I would be more comfortable if that had scanners at the entrance so you would know if someone’s stealing, not looking UP SOMEONES SHIRT! Definitely not going there anytime in the near future.

A fantastic local craft store! I went here to get a #fountainpen for my sister for Christmas, and Merideth (which I hopefully spelled right) was incredibly helpful and informative, explaining all of my many confusing options in a clear, non inverter way, and helping me work with what little information I had and stay within budget! Would recommend to anyone I can!
