I had a great experience here, everything was easy to find and staff was friendly. Opal was especially friendly and polite. She was super professional and calm when there was a technical error with the register (printing the receipt) and maintained a nice conversation while sorting out the issue.

Michaels is a great craft store! There were many finds here, although I do loathe the lack of a fabric section. The employees were friendly enough without being overbearing. The cake decorating aisle was a blast, there were so many things to see and drool over :)

Im giving it 5 today as the store was pretty neat with only a few items misplaced. They were short on employees but with COVID, I may have just hit them at a busy time. They only had one of my items in stock but the quantity was limited online so I wasnt upset. They arent the only shop in town but Ill return. They have some really good sales!

Its a great craft store! Its got just about everything youd ever need, except for fabric. It has jewelery making supplies, paints, markers, sketch books, lots of seasonal decorations, organization tools, yarn, fake flowers, picture frames, scrap booking supplies, and lots of other things!

Michaels is by far one of my top five favorite stores. They sell a wide variety of crafting supplies, fun seasonal items, kids projects and much more! The best part about shopping here is the coupons! I recommend becoming a rewards member, you sign up at the register for free. Once you have done that you should start to receive coupons in your email. I downloaded there app so my coupons were more readily available.

Employees are always nice here. The store itself always seems a bit picked over, never fully stocked and not totally orderly.

My kid loves coming here for the choice of art supplies, and I enjoy the holiday decorations and sales :)

They have such a wide selection of crafting materials, I had a hard time deciding on what to make.

Went in looking for a specific idem was having trouble locating said item so I ask for help and they pointed me right to the item. GREAT EXPERIENCE

The store was very clean, considering they were unpacking their Halloween stuff and getting it on the shelf. But I was approached by a worker because I wasnt wearing a mask. I said I had health issues, and even explained them even though I didnt have to because of HIPPA. The worker said ok and went and got another worker I tried to explain I couldnt wear one. She said then leave. She was very hateful, and rude. Its not my fault I have a health condition that makes it hard to breath. And a fast heart rate. My kids and I will not be back to this store unfortunately.

I always have a good experience shopping at my local Michaels. The last few weeks their sales and discounts have been phenomenal. Gave me a the opportunity to really stock up on beads. Cant say enough good things about the employees, so get these folks raises to a living wage!

Even though i dont get most of my art supplies from michaels, i always enjoy swinging by to look at the deals. the price match policy is excellent (theyll even beat amazon by 10%), and the occasional 50 or 60% off coupons always bring me in.theyve also really expanded their offerings in a lot of areas, especially pens + markers. its really fun to see what stuff is on clearance, too. i wish they had more sketchbooks than just strathmore and canson pads, but thats certainly not this stores fault!!+ the staff is super nice, and one of the store managers regularly recognizes me and says hi :-)

I’m surprised that I actually like a store that deals mostly in arts n crafts and seasonal decorations. But I gotta say man this particular one has a lot of useful stuff for me. And I’m by no stretch of the imagination a arts n crafts kind of dude. Plus the staff is helpful and very cool. When walking around like a lost puppy dog they swooped in and saved the day. I guess it was pretty obvious that I was out of my element lol.

Michaels you have lost my business which is a shame for you as I have an extremely large family. I made a 45 minute trip to use my coupon and it was denied because you had the item on a weekly sale. Your sales staff refused to honor the coupon and apply the coupon to the regular price of the item. Oh and the coupon does not even mention your computers or associates arent capable of overriding a regular price in the event the item goes on sale during the narrow time frame the coupon is valid, nice!!

Tried to get photo framing mats custom size and they were gonna charge me $24 just to cut a mat. Instead I left, went home, ordered online and got 3 custom cut mats for $27. This place tries to rip you off and the guy I asked for help gave me attitude. Never coming back again.

Michaels is my go-to craft store in Lawrence. This visit, I was after some crochet yarn and found the color I needed, though muted greens seem to be the popular shade this season. I also get beads and findings for making and fixing jewelry, as well as polymer clay. Whenever I cant find something, the staff has been very helpful.

Craft projects, school projects, and art projects; they have just about everything. Been taking the kids here for years and they enjoy finding new science or craft kits.I like shopping here for the holidays with our kids the most.

Like other reviewers, I agree that it seems like the staff doesnt know the inventory very well, but when you ask for help, they will do as much as they can to work with you. While some of the supplies here arent super specialized, its a reliable place to find beginning level materials for a variety of media. This is handy when youd like to be able to look at what youre purchasing and when youre not sure how much youd like to invest in a new hobby. Id choose Michaels over Hobby Lobby.
