Did a walk in session a week back. The instructor was very patient with someone who has very little artistic ability. It was a lot of fun, and while I dont think pottery is for me, this seems like a great place for someone who is passionate about this art form.

Cady has had a blast this year at Muddy Waters Studio where she has learned to work with clay by sculpting and pottery wheel. Her teacher Teirany is an amazing artist, teacher and mentor! I love Muddy Waters!! The teachers are so helpful and patient! You can really let your creativity fly! I started pottery 4 years ago and I still love coming to class every week. Muddy Waters is truly a place I would recommend for everyone (all ages too!) because it gives me a place where I can be myself.

Muddy Waters Studio is my favorite place to be. I love how you can take classes and rent the space for 24/7 access. The instructor is eager to share her vast knowledge. The instructor is great at working with all experience levels. It is the best feeling to be able to make so many things that are useful and to give as gifts. Muddy Waters also offers a welcoming community and many artists that are also happy to share what they know.

Muddy Waters Studio is fantastic! The space is a wonderful environment to learn and create your own work!! Instructors are incredibly helpful and professional, continuously making you feel like you can accomplish anything. I highly recommend bringing your friends and family in for a class...or 50.

Muddy Waters Studio in Lawrence Kansas is a wonderful place to be. The instructor and owner of the Business is a very knowledgeable and hands on instructor and always puts forth 100% to her students and renters. Not only is Tierney an excellent instructor she cares deeply about her students, business and position in the community. Im sure others would agree with me in this assessment of Muddy Waters. I saw the the previous review and cannot disagree more. Get your hands busy and find the joy in getting your hands full of clay and enjoy creating your own inspirations.

Been going to Muddy Waters for about 3 years. Started with previous owner which was fantastic. But decided to give new owner a chance. I was pretty much on my own even though I paid for classes with the owner/instructor. There were instances of destructive comments from the owner/instructor but was able to keep going because I enjoyed pottery. Last week I wanted to change from class/instruction to being on my own. When I told the owner, she became verbally abusive and hurtful. She walked out on her own class and verbally attacked me in front of other students. I would not recommend Muddy Waters unless you can keep your thoughts to yourself and can work independently. I was told not to come back and to find somewhere else to have my pieces fired. I was left with unused clay which I will not be able to use. The owner/instructor has ruined my love of pottery. I gave one star because had to give a star to post. Otherwise, I would not give any.

Im a bit older but always like to try new things, pottery has turned out to be a creative outlet for me. I looked to different venues and initially made contact with Tierney at Muddy Waters via txt, she was open, provided flexible scheduling and affordable rates. Im in! Not one regret, Ive had so much fun and learned a ton from Tierney. For me its so cool to make pieces I use on a daily basis in my kitchen, cups, bowls, platters, soon to learn techniques to make pitchers and casserole dishes. Ive shared my creations with family and they love it. All this learning and joy and the whole experience revolves around my interaction with Tierney and Muddy Waters.
