The B mix I just bought is so dry I cant even cut it with a wire.
Love this company. Everyone is always helpful, nice and knowledgeable. Bracker’s is my go to pottery supply company!!!!! Great place!
Wow! I love this store! It is clean, brightly lit, spacious, and thoughtfully organized. Everyone was so friendly and helpful when I stopped in. I kept finding more and more that I needed (read: wanted). The staff asked me questions to make sure I was getting what would help me achieve the effect I was going for. Thanks for a lovely visit! Im from Wichita, so I cant visit often, but when Im up that way again, Ill be sure to visit Brackers!!
The staff was so helpful! They were more than willing to discuss materials with my wife and tell her alternative products and things she didnt need to buy a ton of. All were very friendly and the service was quick. They even suggested a few other places to visit for supplies. Would definitely return.
The whole family is exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable. They carry a wide variety of tools, glazes and tools and their prices are reasonable.
Really poor customer service and low quality pottery supplies. I placed an online order, and I received three damaged items. The damaged items were one broken stilt and two warped bats. The bats were noticeably warped, so much so that I could see that they were warped when I took them out of the box. I reported the damage and requested replacements be sent for the damaged items. They told me that the cost to reship the stilt was too expensive and that they wanted to issue an in-store credit. I told them that I would rather have a replacement stilt sent since I had already paid more than $18 for shipping, they never got back to about the stilt replacement. Then, they said that they were going to check their inventory regarding the warped bats, but they never got back to me about the bats. The company never issued any type of refund at all for the damaged merchandise. If you place an online order with this company I would go into it know that whatever you receive is going to be what you are stuck with and if the merchandise is damaged you will end up just eating the cost. They do not stand behind their merchandise. If I had been able to see the quality of merchandise in person I wouldnt have purchased it at all. I would not recommend this company to anyone especially for online orders.
Tons of glazes, clays and makers tools. Definatley a great source for potters!
Very good selection of glaze and some good local clay. The only problem we had was checking out, which I believe was due to how busy it was at the time and a missing sku for one of the glazes.
Love this store. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly.
Went to this shop for the first time this week - amazing service, great education for someone newer to clay like myself, excellent selection of glazes, tools, supplies, etc. Amazing! And woman-owned - yasssssss!
I have been going to Brackers since I moved to Kansas 25 years ago. I recently needed the belts replaced on my 35 year old wheel. It was really worth the 40 minute drive out there to have Dave do the job for me. These older wheels are very difficult to change the belts on especially if youve never done it before, it took quite a bit of patience and know-how. I recommend to anyone interested in pottery to spend an afternoon enjoying their store.
Incredible clay variety. Go at once!
Very knowledgable and friendly people
Is there a better place in KC for clay and pottery supplies? I dont think so. Employees are generally very knowledgeable.
Always curtious and knowledgeable staff ready to help with anything related to ceramics.
Brackers is the spot. Get what you need and they are VERY helpful. Youve got a question, they can answer it.
The best and ONLY place in Kansas I would buy supplies. The people there are honest, knowledgeable, and helpful before and after the sale. Buy local, buy from the best. Brackers will take care of you way better than some cheap big online place.
Most helpful ceramic supply store in Kansas City. Definitely worth the time to get your materials from these experts. They even have a way to ship what you need to their Kansas City pickup location. I couldnt agree more with the other review, I too feel like a kid in a candy store here.
Excellent source of knowledge, experience, and tools/books/supplies for all kinds of clay/pottery working
This family owned business spoils ceramic artists in the region with their in-depth knowledge of all things clay. If you need help with a ceramics issue, ask a Bracker, but only call when you have time for the complete answer, because you will get all the details you need. It is because of this level of personal customer service that I buy all my ceramic supplies from Brackers Good Earth Clays.
Great place to get all your pottery supplies at, very knowledgeable staff that is always happy to answer questions. They carry most brands of glazes, clays, and raw materials. There tool selection is amazing and I always find myself acting like a kid in a candy store there. They host free events almost every month and even do two Raku firings, that are open to the public and free, a year. I have shopped here every since I got into pottery, which is about 10 years, and have never been disappointed with the service or selection. If you are looking to buy ceramic supplies in Kansas, this is the place to do it!

Seems like they are understaffed every time i come here. May as well order my kao wool online as they never can cut me a piece when i go there.
