Very nice friendly staff when you first check in at the elevator but once you get upstairs the bartenders are cold and callous the DJ was just playing random music it was empty and the drinks were overpriced $36 for three shots of whiskey a bottle of whiskey is $30. Needless to say we had a drink or shot for my birthday and we left. Not quite sure why they changed the name but I enjoyed it much better when it was the gold digger. This was my first time going since the name has been switched to Troy I dont think Ill be back. Not very happy especially since it was my birthday and I was looking forward to having a great time there.
They don’t charge a cover. It is a small club, but when I went, the place was empty. Then again that could be because there was a major event happening on Fremont Street. Good music and the bartenders were nice. The dress code doesn’t require you to dress up as much as most clubs, however people get turned away for minor things like having a tattoo, which could be another reason they don’t have a lot of people there. They search you and look through your purse if you have one (this happens at a few clubs once in a while, but they go overboard on it). One of the things on the dress code is “no gang colors of any kind” and I saw a Black guy get turned away because his shirt was red. Keep in mind it was not a t shirt, it was a nice collared button down shirt. He did not look anything like a gang member, however red is a gang color so he was turned away. They also have three cops standing at the entrance watching everyone that goes in. The only places I have ever seen go that extreme is South Central Los Angeles and Compton. I would understand in those places, but this is not in a gang area, so I don’t know what they are all paranoid about.
Cool that they don’t charge a cover
This place was great to our large group last night. We reserved some of their VIP tables on the balcony overlooking Fremont St and it could not have been better! It’s the only club in Fremont but it’s also the only open air balcony under the lights and overlooking the stage. The staff is what really made it top notch... all of them. Highly recommend.
Selina was amazing! Led us straight to VIP to view the show and continued to make us feel at home! Highly recommend giving this place a shot! My husband and I had a great time! Cheers!
Me and 20 others were here celebrating a wedding the same night. They wouldnt let one of our friends in because he had tattoos on his neck so we left the empty club and went elsewhere. Terrible people.
We had a great time celebrating a friends birthday! Great view of Fremont St. from the balcony! I cant compliment the service from Selena! She was so great, attentive and friendly! No to mention her beauty! We will definitely go back next time were in Vegas!
Had an after party here. The staff was great. The atmosphere was perfect. The balcony was the best. It had the Bourban St feel.
The environment was nice but I have never felt so disrespected by staff members before. We left the establishment and will not be returning.
I am from New York. We ordered a double shot margarita. I pulled my wallet, was going to pay in cash, my girlfriend wanted to pay by card. The bartender decided to pull away our drinks in what felt like 20 seconds. I went to go up to the other bartender but the bouncer decided we were done and we had zero drinks. I think this is poor service. You are in a profession where you are providing customer service and this person gets to decide whether you get a drink or not: It’s 3-10–19 and it wasn’t even busy. I didn’t appreciate how quickly he pulled away our drinks. I have never seen that done before, maybe that’s just how it is here and I just need to get used to it. I don’t like it and as a customer I think it is very poor service. If he felt he was too busy he could have easily left our drinks on the counter and his balance plus tip would have been waiting for him in cash on the counter. Besides that the place seemed like a good hangout but I wouldn’t go back with such rude service.
Bumping house music!!! Troy’s was amazing! Friendly staff, Alex was awesome! Troy’s took great care of my best friend and I on our vacation! If you like new school, old school, hip hop house music this is the place for you!! Drinks were pricey so just bring a little extra cash :), but I’m from NY where they are even more expensive so... You get what you pay for and that is a great time! Anyone going to Vegas should go here! Fremont street was so much fun! Thank you Troy’s for making my vacation a memorable one!
We accidentally stumbled upon this place when we were in Vegas and we are so happy we did. We will definitely be back. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They were very quick with their service. The bathroom attendant was also very helpful. She was so nice every time we went into the bathroom and was never pushy for tips.
Overpriced drinks that are 90 percent ice and weak liquor. If you like a chair after your done dancing it’s $225.00 to sit down. (Bottle service comes free with the chair fee.). I’m a guest of this hotel and I would not recommend or return either to this dance club.
The troy was fabulous excellent service great views, Athena was are server couldnt ask for better service and to top it off she is beautiful!!are party will be going back!!
Dont waiste your time unless you are the upper 10% and if your the upper 10% your probably on the strip anyways
Great music and view of Freemont Street. Drinks were spendy and there were not very many people there.
The wait 2 get in on a Saturday is just ridiculous. Then while waiting in line with a party of friends from out of town, a manager came up & informed my husband that he couldnt come in with the shirt he had on. So 1st she walked up to us & said hey, are you a guest of the hotel? My husband responded with no & then she said well you cant wear that camo shirt in here. Mind you it was a button up, collar, ombre camo shirt! So then he asked if he was a guest would he be able to & she said no. So then he asked well why did you ask if I was a guest here? She said because it wouldve been an easy fix. Then she got an attitude & told my husband she wasnt gonna argue with him & walked away! Then a friend in our group asked what could she do to help because were from out of town & she said I can sell him a shirt for $20! Needless to say we never went in. Terrible customer service!
Id give negative star if I could, my best friend and I come from Canada, we were here for her birthday her 40th and wanted to go there for for it got all ready and wanted bottle service and everything. Money wasnt an issue but when getting to the door she was allowed thru only because she had her hair down, as for my self mine was nicely done and put up. BUT! I HAVE SMALL FACE TATTOO AND A NECK Tattoo... I was no longer welcome to come to their establishment which in return made us have to walk away... This part of their dress code is absolutely 100% uncalled for, we came down there for this bar. They turned away what could been alot money made on their end but apparently people with tattoos are not good enough for this bar.. So if you happen to enjoy art and have tattoos do not go to this stuck up judgmental bar. They do not deserve to have business... This will be spread thru social media and Ill make sure everyone I know doesnt give them business.
With the dress code, the night club is full of decent people, non of that under butt pants solicitation jail style. Great night club!
Not bad, small bar, small dance floor, most of the seating were tables. But its all good cause there was no cover and a lax dress code!
Chill vibes good music!
Great place.
Cant go into the club if you have a neck tattoo. This is the most ridiculous dress code rule. Its compete discrimination!
Good times we had bottle service on the balcony the music was good all and all a good experience.
I’d give it a 0, but I can’t. First we were seated in a crappy spot, we moved. Then were told we were in a other groups reserved area after 30 minutes sitting there. In the meantime, they gave our original seats away and we were left with no seats. Then to our surprise, we were told there was a minimum drink limit. Who has the right to tell people how much they can drink after they have already been there for an hour. Crappy business model, and for two drinks on Fremont (crown and coke, and a vodka with cran and pineapple). Not worth it. You can find way better places to drink on Fremont than this overpriced establishment with hidden consumption rules.
I love this place. Best spot on Fremont for sure. Awesome balcony, Cool club inside, staff is awesome, music is on point. Best kept secret in Las Vegas!
Love this place! Its fun, great vibe, great people. Small dance floor, AWESOME hip hop music beats and DJ.Balcony overlooking Fremont St. is epic. Light dress code and the drinks are inexpensive for the most part.
Free to get in, we got a booth for my cousins bachelorette party. they had a smoking balcony, and even let us bring a stripper in to give my girls a lap dance!!! woooop!!! #greattimesLV@TROY
Awesome DJ, and bartenders!!! Fun atmosphere, as well... ;-)
Very nice place to have some drinks and get to the dance floor while you are at the casino
Overrated. Its cool to check out, nice view of Fremont....but crazy prices. Wasnt impressed by the quality of the sound system (distortion)
I came by to inquire about DJ openings and before the host answered me he looked me up and down then said without checking with the manager to see if there were openings that we are all booked up I was wearing a pair jeans button up shirt and some Stacy Adams dress shoes maybe it was the fact I had my backpack which contained my MacBook and external that made him look but I think that should have been something for security to check I currently DJ on the Las Vegas Strip and I have not experienced such behavior from any club on the strip whether I was DJing or just stopping by, its sad to see this type of behavior its 2018. This happened on 03/16/18.
It was an overall great time, take care of the bartenders they take care of you, awesome views, good DJ playing the right stuff. I would definitely go back!!
Nice bar friendly staff music wasnt very good but overall great experience
Best club in old VEGAS. Great drinks. Awesome view.
I have never experienced such rude hospitality and treatment as I did Friday night at Gold Diggers.I was with a large group. We all had heard great things about Gold Diggers and that it was a great dancing and drink place downtown Las Vegas. We headed to Golden Nugget and were greeted by a young club promoter who offered to get us into the club without cover because of the size of our group. Sounded great! He let us go up a roped staircase to the club, where we were met by security. The security guard rudely assumed we had just come up the stairs ourselves, and when we mentioned the promoters name, he told us that hes not supposed to let us up without paying and sent us back down again. (I must also note that the cover was $5.00. Something we had been willing to pay)We were close to leaving at that time and saying screw it when the club promoter caught us and said hed walk up there with us, since apparently there was some misunderstanding. This time we were let in.The experience wasnt even worth it! First, drinks are small, low quality rail liquor, and poorly made. Staff, including security (who complained about our presence for about 10 minutes, loud enough for people to hear), serving staff, who not once asked if we needed anything, and bar staff who acted as if we werent wanted as well. Second, on a Friday night, there were about 30 people up there (including my party of 9), and Thirdly unless youre willing to spend $200+ there is no place for you to sit, so there were tables and benches roped off and unused, leaving the rest of us to be stuffed into a small hallway. It was our opinion that even if the promoter wasnt supposed to send us up there without cover, or wasnt even a promoter, that isnt our fault. Deal with the situation one on one, dont treat us poorly because the employee broke the rules. We were willing to give it a try and all purchased a drink, spending at least $100, but as there was no seating, no one dancing, and no smiles, we left soon after. We shall not be returning to Gold Diggers. We had way more fun, better drinks, and better dancing out at the Freemont Experience, right on the street.
Changed the name still the same good view off patio $14 drinks not worth it.
It gets 3 stars because of a good atmosphere, good views over Fremont, no cover charge on a Friday night, minimal queueing, but drinks are really expensive ($6 for a Bud Light???), half of the place has reserved seating for those who want bottle service, but on a Friday night, no one was sitting there pretty much the entire night.
The staff was pleasant and the balcony was great for people watching but 50$ for 3 bud lights and 1 margarita made with cheap mix and cheap taquila is ridiculous. Would not go back there again.
The lounge is better
Excellent place
Horrible place treated us so unfair.they wouldn’t let us in there club because are group had a lot of tattoos on there body.we went there to celebrate are friends birthday and got told we could not go in because we had to much tattoos.I have never felt so discriminated in are lives .we are not In any gangs or have any inappropriate tattoos we are just people that have a lot of tattoos. They treated us horrible and looked down on us cause are tattoos and probably the color of are skin was brown. They are horrible and mean and discriminating.we are Hawaiians and this was suppose to b a local spot.shame on them
It was very hot, drinks great dj so so
Classy place loved it
Fun place
Lovely:)
Good place to drink
Great wine selection
Extremely overpriced drinks that are basically just ice
Extra strict dress code for such a small place with slow bartenders
