This place is INTENSE! A Lot to take in. Id love to go again. The videos were informative and made you think. Even during this pandemic, there were plenty of patrons. I had an elevator adventure when I pressed the wrong button and made it to the kitchen! Everyone was very nice and helpful. I truly enjoyed the Wall of Assassinations or thats what Im calling it! Next time Ill go to The Underground Bar.
Mind. Blowing. So detailed, so interesting, you could spend an entire day there and not feel like you saw everything. The displays and movies were beautifully done, and the guide was so interesting and filled with facts. Easily walkable from Fremont street and the tickets are a great price, an even better price for the experience you receive. Not to mention, the gift shop was killer, the books, t shirts, bar kits were expertly crafted and beautiful
Excellent museum! The history, details, and aesthetics are impressive. However, the staff is seriously rude. If you don’t want a service job, move somewhere besides Las Vegas. Patrons keep your job for you, don’t treat them poorly. The museum is superb; the staff is horrible. You can tell they don’t want to help you or be working there. It lessens the whole experience.
Definitely worth checking out! The history of Vegas is fascinating. Really enjoyed all the exhibits! The moonshine at the distillery was a really cool experience! It took us about 3 hours to walk through, reading most of the history.
Phenomenal experience!! Spent ten hours over two days. Did the crime lab too which is a real treat. Very well presented with tons of well researched info and exhibits, real wire tapped recordings, etc. A must see!
I have been a member since 2012. I first visited in May of 2012. Sadly I was unable to take time off work for the Grand Opening. As a very frequent visitor, I enjoy the fact the exhibits are frequently freshened. Unlike some negative commentary, I like the written information and feel the balance of written material, video/audi/photographic material, and hard artifacts is excellent. I find the staff to be extraordinarily helpful and courteous. I will state that I am sufficiently impressed that this year I upgraded to Inner Circle level of membership. What do I enjoy most? Discovering a fact/tidbit I had not known previously. This might arise from the admittedly large volume of written displays or the subtle shuffling/rotation of displays.
The Mob Museum has everything you could ever ask for in a city historical type museum. The entire story of how the Mob built Las Vegas can be found here. There are interactive exhibits and plenty of movies to watch. Dont forget to get your stylus!! The staff is amazing and will help you understand the history of the Mob in Vegas. Enjoy!!!
The Mob Museum definitely brings the wow factor on how they corrupted every aspect of society from government to Hollywood, yet it took decades for the law to finally bring the mob to justice because for years. It does get a little dry but definitely worth it. The speakeasy bar in the basement is creative.
Spent nearly 6 hours here. Enjoyed the firearms scenarios and distillery a ton. Had a pair of great cocktails in the basement speakeasy and then read nearly EVERYTHING on display. What a hoot. Highly recommend this for any afternoon that you want to fill down near Freemont.
A true Vegas experience. The building is a 4 story work of art by itself. The museum is an awakening with amazing personal experiences, like the crime lab, or gun training!Totally clean. And a real cafe and speakeasy in the basement. My advice: ask for an Old Fashioned at the bar in the basement. Let me know what you think!~A
We visited with a group of 10, and found this very interesting. So much information on a small space! We learned a lot of things we didnt know about the Mob. Probably a few things we wished we hadnt, hahaha! It was well worth the price of admission, very engaging and educational. The Speakeasy on the basement serves up some tasty brews to close out the visit. I would recommend this attraction to any history buff.
I was really taken aback by the whole experience. I wasnt expecting it to be as informative and interesting as it was. I did the premium pass, and I chose to do the firearm training simulator and the crime lab. They were both worth doing. I spent over 3 hours there and could have spent more time, but I was hungry. This place is worth doing while in Vegas. It will definitely change your conception of what you think the mob museum is about. I highly recommend it to everyone.
The Mob Museum is great. The history is informative. The activities are entertaining. We even did the distillery tour, and that was great.Only downside, the over abundance of information. We really needed 2 days, because it was too much to digest in 1 visit. Unfortunately, the GoPass only allows 1 entry, and we didnt plan for 2 days at the Museum.Hopefully a two day pass becomes an option and gets added to the GoPass, which is a good deal.
Decided to try this activity during a vacation with a girlfriend of mine. They give you a pretty good experience to get your moneys worth. It is ten dollars cheaper after 5 pm which is a nice discount. If you choose the option where you can add two activities to your museum tour. You can choose a forensic option where they have interactive crime solving ventures. You solve different crimes by looking at a digital autopsy, fingerprint, and DNA analysis. The other activity is a distillery where they explain prohibition and what historical details and facts came along with this era in time. You also get to test some moonshine, small amount you dont want to drink much of this stuff anyway because its very strong. But it was nice to test it out. The museum its self is very interesting and there are three floors of items and sections to discover. Some original items from famous mobsters, FBI and detectives going after the mobsters. Definitely something worth your while and its easy to get to if your staying near Fremont street experience.
A lot of mob history here. We also did the forensic lab and the police training simulator. They were both great experiences but short. This visit will be a nice memory for a long time.
I dont think its worth the $50 I paid for premium tickets. It was interesting, but you better be ready to READ. Also, the distillery tour was more of a class with 3 thimble sized shots of super gross booze. I gave 4 stars because all the employees were awesome and I did enjoy the museum.
This place is a hidden gem and has become one of my favorites. The atmosphere, wall art, hidden rooms and decor all fit the part! Drinks are clever and phenomenal! The appetizers are limited, but good enough for a little bite while taking in the live jazz.
Jodi is such a nice employee! We paid for our tickets and then my parents called me because they wanted to go to dinner. She offered us a refund so we could go to dinner and not have to worry about rushing back before close. Because of this, we HAD to come back the next day and she was the one who sold us our new tickets. I cant give Jodi enough praise. Thank you!
The museum is in the old post office/government building where some of the mob trials where held. Content inside is very interesting, but there is a lot of reading. Speak easy in basement too full so didnt get to experience. Also tour of working distillery was extra and only at set times of day. All in all good way to spend time off strip to learn some history.
Highlight of our trip to this point. Really well done. People there are very nice and well informed. Great time
Lots of history, interesting stories and informative stories. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. You need to pay for parking.
We loved the Mob Museum for our downtown date night. Parking was easy, there is a parking lot right next door for $7. The building itself is beautiful, it was built in the 1930s. The exhibits and details are very interesting but the coolest thing about it was seeing the original St. Valentine’s Day massacre wall. Another fun feature is the speakeasy in the basement. It was nice to tour the museum and have a drink at their bar right after. We didn’t pay for the extras and felt good with that decision after leaving.
Was here a couple years ago and its even better now. Firearms simulation, crime scene experience and speakeasy for those over 21. Well worth the money if you are interested in organized crime history.
On the whole, the Mob Museum is worth visiting if you have the time and can get there early enough to avoid the extensive lines and wait. The exhibits are a little long on reading for me and a little short in actual 3-dimensional content - but overall quite interesting. The reason for a 4 (instead of 5) star rating is both the aforementioned balance of reading-to-content ratio being off for my tastes as well as the content of the museum as a whole being a smidge confusing to me. The Mob Museum seemed to have as much (or more) to do with south american drug organizations as what most Americans would call actual mob. I guess it simply wasnt what I expected - whether what I expected was accurate or not. Overall, though, a good museum at an interesting and easily accessed location.
Very entertaining and educational experience. Excellent presentation of organized crime and law enforcement historic materials many of which are interactive. The basement speakeasy should NOT be missed. They serve up prohibition style craft cocktails and beers, some beers are made in house. Must Do List.
This was so much fun. I learned more than I expected to about organized crime and its history in the US and Las Vegas. Recommend doing the add ons. The Fire Arm Training and speakeasy tour were enlightening and fun. We took about 5.5 hours to go through and read nearly everything.
Very informative. Be prepared to spend a few hours and read a lot, if you enjoy the history of the mafia. Make sure to do the interactive shooter training, you will come out with a better understanding of what law enforcement desks with on a daily basis. The distillery tour is great as well.
Fantastic museum!!! Such an amazing place full of history both about the mob and Las Vegas. Its location inside an old courthouse and post office only adds to its charm. The distillery and speakeasy in the basement is a nice touch and a great place to relax and enjoy some of their house made moonshine or whiskey
Great history lesson of the mob in America. Lots of artifacts, videos and interactive displays. Well worth the $29 admission.
Loved the hidden backdoor and password to get in. I had the special Omerta drink. We also had hummus and pizza bites, both were good
Get the old fashioned at the speakeasy. I had hummus(very lite app) lock and key and the gem. Well made cocktails. Old school atmosphere. Bartenders feel like old friends.
If you like history or stuff outside of your normal life, this is a great place. I found it very interesting.
WOW... I was unsure of going here to be honest. what an amazing place with incredible, kind and extremely knowledgeable staff. This is a must if you visit Las Vegas and care about doing anything off the strip.
Had a great time! Spring for the experiences, it makes it so much more fun! Even fir a cop/military couple like us! Loved it!
Wow! This museum is super cool, educational and fun. There are three stories and a basement with a bar. I dont wanna give too much away so check it out!! And heads up, parking is $7.
Very cool and informative museum! I enjoyed every inch of it! They were very attentive with sanitation. In addition all the staff seemed extremely happy to be there and quite friendly! I cant wait to visit again!
Really cool place with alot of history.. actual artifacts... knowledgable staff..there is a little bit of a wait and your temperature will be checked plus there several levels of tours. If you are a Veteran, currently serving, law enforcement, student, and a local of Vegas you will be given discounts its a definite must do if you like mob history!
I have visited the Mob Museum four times now and still learn something new each time I visit. The history is fascinating. Would recommend visiting in the morning because your pass lasts all day...you can come and go as you would like. Allow 2 to 3 hours if you enjoy reading and taking your time.
This place is absolutely legendary if you like the old mob stories, we drank some drinks in the speakeasy downstairs and you had to have a password to get in, all the employees are dressed accordingly and it was totally awesome, they even had some old school live jazz musicians singing and playing slow crooning songs, totally worth it!!!
The museum was well done. We also did the crime and firearms activities and loved it.
Fun and interesting self guided tour. If you love history you should do it. The museum is located in the old post office/ courthouse that was built in the 30s. Loved the architecture- original wood, marble floors, etc.
Great history, really a lot of fun to see the evolution of mobs and crime. 3 Floors of things to look at and bring your camera. You will be taking a ton of pictures.
Always have a great time. This was the first time we did the one of the special event/ exhibit (distillery) and did the whiskey tasting. Was well worth the price and well definitely be doing the other ones on next visits. Also the speak easy was neat to have a few drinks and appetizers.
Absolutely recommend this! We did the crime scene and police interactions and definitely recommend these and would do it again! This museum has a LOT of interesting facts and information about the Mobs and its history. We spent a few hours here and could probably have spent more if we had the time. Cant wait to do it again!
Very interesting place and informative. It takes about 3 hours to go thru everything. We enjoyed it.
This was a good time. Lots of mob information and cool items left from crime scenes and such. I would recommend it. For those 21 and up there is a speakeasy downstairs as well.
The Speakeasie Underground was great and my tour guide every now and then, the Security guard, was quite helpful...forgot his name...and one of the bartenders too!
Really cool interesting place. Love the basement speakeasy!
Its impressive the amount of detail of this museum, it used to be a court room back in the 50’s, so they have 3 floors of amazing stuff. They even have a bar, and is completely wheelchair accesible. This is a must in Las Vegas, after that you can walk Fermont St. which is really worth it!Its a shame el Chapo featuring in this museum...
Great place to visit. Highly recommended. Rich in mob history, parts of US history. Lots of authentic memorabilia. Videos and more.
It was ok...just expected more...the staff was cool...but the security guard was crazy ..not a good look...but the museum was cool...
Really enjoyed my time here. Laid out the history of the mob, and the players. Great overview of the Vegas mob and how things worked. Favorite was the breaking bad costume!! Time and money well spent. Highly recommend.
Wow! Definitely will go again! Too much to see in one trip. The crime lab was cool and the firearms training was great! The speakeasy in the basement was nice too! Great drinks and tasty snacks.
Great place to see. Lots of interesting facts.
Great hidden Bar.Speak easy.....Once you enter the door make sure to ask for the Speak easy bar otherwise you would pay admission to the Museum
I highly recommend coming as soon as they open. It costs a little more, but we had the whole 3rd floor to ourselves for the first hour! We paid for two experiences (taste testing and crime lab). The guides were just made for their jobs, they seemed to love what they do and shared great information with us.
This place was amazing!! The set up was great, it was easy to navigate, the employees were insanely nice. I cant wait to go back. I wish I would have know to go earlier in the day because there is so much to see and read!! I feel like the hould stop selling tickets after 630 because it is a bit pricey and if you dont go beforehand, you wont get your moneys worth. Or give a discounted amount after 7 because you wont see everything. Thats the one thing I was disappointed about. I didnt feel like i got my moneys worth.. Everything else was great. So informative. I cant wait to go back to vegas just to I can actually make it through the whole museum. I would dedicate about 3 hours
Very clean and organized, parking is affordable and the showcasing is amazing. The staff was nothing short of courteous and insightful. I loved the overall presentation and detailed historical accounts of mob history. It truly was an amazing experience and a very cool place to find out a few good facts about our countrys history, mob history and Las Vegas background and how they all came tied together out here in the west coast!
Complete history as you travel through each floor. Start on the third floor then work your way down to the speakeasy in the basement. Lots of pictures and videos to watch. Be sure to find the secret in the Speakeasy.
Something that my husband wanted to see. It was fascinating, the pictures, movies and items that were preserved. Do I think it was worth $29.95 for general admission..NOT! 10 minute walk from the Golden Nugget..
Great details about all the things you want to know surrounding the subject. Learned a lot from the forensic guide, not so much from the distillery portion but the guide was still excellent, I just grew up around the subject so not much for me to learn. Worth every penny if not more.
Awesome place! Loved all the history!
This is a well done, high budget museum. It is certainly more geared towards a mature audience, although kids over the age of 8 could still appreciate many aspects of it. They do charge $7 for parking at the adjacent surface lot. The museum does a nice job of mixing Mob history with law enforcement. This is definitely worth a stop. Also try the interactive exhibit where you are in the shoes of a police officer trying to make split second decisions. The downstairs speakeasy is a nice touch as well.
The staff was amazing. Some really cool artifacts. Easy to spend 3 or 4 hours taking it all in. Enjoyed the crime Lab experience.
The museum was so informative, so much history. Explains alot. Did the crime scene activity. Learned how crime scenes are processed after evidence is gathered. Would suggest to go early to make sure to get through all 3 floors. Hopefully will go back.
Lots to see from early mob to modern day. They also have displays about Las Vegas and how it originated. The building itself started as a post office and later it was a court house. If youre interested in architecture this is a must see.
Best Museum on the subject of both sides of the law. You have 3 wonderful floors of knowledge. Put yourself right into the action and take as many pictures as you want at every turn. Fun for the family also nice things for adult couples like having a sit down at the speak easy.
A great museum with lots of early Vegas history. I rated four stars for pricing but the exhibits are solid, the air is cold, and the lines short. Very COVID woke, taking lots of precautions. I skipped on the added charges for the two additional exhibits. Took roughly 75 minutes to read through all three floors with a price around $30 a person. I wouldn’t take my kids as it’s set for an older audience with a few exhibits displaying graphic content warnings. A great place to hide from the Vegas summer sun
LOVED the Mob Museum. Simply not enough time to see it all! Very enjoyable visit.
Amazing experience! I enjoyed learning everything about the mob in Vegas, and the interactive experiences. The speakeasy is definitely not to be missed.
Just under $30 for out of staters. $18 in state. Military, student discounts. Lots of information here. You could spend all day looking. Food & drink available. Worth a visit. Close to Fremont & new Circa casino hotel.
Spent about 2 hours in The Mob Museum. It was a tad busy, but understandable and still very fun to see everything. Learning some of the history was really interesting and the staff were all very kind and courteous. Would highly recommend.
Very informative and entertaining to learn about the history of the mob in America. We opted to add on the moonshine tasting next to the speakeasy and the crime lab experience. Both are recommended for your visit
Great place to visit. Plan 3-4 hours. Lots of reading although there is an audio tour but I dont think you need it. Lots of little movies. Soooooo many artifacts and stories. Very well laid out! Staff stays on top of whats happening and helps guide you through. An amazing place and definitely worth the entrance fee. Self guided so you can go at your own pace. A must see.
I really enjoyed the museum. The employee were wonderful and the exhibits were very interesting. Before going people should be aware that it my be hard to navigate for people who are in a wheelchair. Also the exhibit involves a lot of reading. I have dyslexic so I just ended up looking at the items because the dark lighting and the amount of words was to much. This isnt a problem for most people but worth noting for people who struggle like me.
It was cool. Really went here for my boyfriend. Wasnt interested. Not that interactive. Yeah....
If you come to downtown for the old Vegas feel. The Mob Museum is the place for you. Tons of information about old Vegas mob dealings and history. Look for the speak easy located underground great cocktails featuring their housemade moonshine!
Incredibly detailed and informative museum. Probably the best museum in Vegas. They don’t hold back any grisly details. Very interesting trip through Vegas history and the history of organized crime in America. Parking is easy here and expect to spend 3-4 hours to see it all.
Was awesome seeing all those old gangsters
Fantastic museum outlining the history of the mob in this country and abroad.....not just Vegas. The exhibits were full of information and the videos and tape recordings really helped get to know many of the infamous mobsters. Well worth a visit!
We did the distillery tour and got to sample some moonshine, followed that with a wander through the 3 floors of the museum. There was a lot of information and we could have spent more time in order to take it all in.
A great place to learn about a fascinating time in our history. Be prepared to spend atleast 3 hrs here. Did the brewery tour too, dam thats some strong moonshine!Great displays too!
Staff did a great job explaining things and guiding us. Exhibits are accurate and very well done. The distillery tour was quite enjoyable. Tasting was nice and the staff were very knowledgeable. The speakeasy is quite informative as there is a ton of info and items to see. It takes a little time to look it all over and enjoy a local brewed beer. Beautifully decorated. Riki was very helpful and quite pleasant. We did crime lab and distillery. If i had to choose just one, it would be the distillery. Crime lab was good too. We spent 4hrs at the museum and could have stayed another hour. Overall, a great way to learn a lot about the Mob in America in an interactive way. Its amazing to see the depth and reach of the mob influence in america. I would also say some of the exhibits are PG13 due to graphic images/ violence.
I’ve been to Vegas 3 times and always wanted to go to the Mob Museum. So this time I did and I was very excited and happy to learn more about the Mob and the culture. Thank you!!!
This is the 2nd time I have been thereThere is just so much to see so much information. The Crime lab. Was really neat. I am sure I will be going back on my next trip out here
Absolutely an amazing experience the staff was pleasant and inviting offering us to go see The distillery even though we didnt pay for the package definitely would recommend to stop in
Probably one of the best, most well done museums Ive seen. SO INTERESTING, multiple floors with videos and interactive displays. We spent at least 3 hours here so it is a lot of walking but you could get lost in the exhibits they are so fascinating!!! Loved learning all about the prohibition era and early Las Vegas too. The staff was so knowledgeable... we even got deep into conversation with one employee. If you are in the neighborhood this is definitely a different kind of activity. Its a nice retreat outside the casinos and strip. We bought a combine ticket with the Neon Boneyard, that we visited earlier in the day.
Welcoming staff. And Four stories of exhibits to visit. Does it cost extra to visit: The distillery, crime lab and firearms sections. We went in July of 2020 and they had happy hour pricing of reduced door admission.
This was a very interesting stop during our visit in Vegas however I learned a lot about the mob and saw lots of blood and gory images. But nonetheless, its a good museum and they even have a speakeasy in the basement with a bar and this is also where they make their own whiskey. There are also smaller tours just for the whiskey part which I found very interesting.
Lots to see and do, very interactive. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! Really enjoyed it
Its was very knowledge and exciting
Really put together museum! Accurate and fun. Lots of virtual information as well as literature. Great artifacts from the gangster years!
Awesome museum. You can easily spend 4 plus hours here. The underground drinking experience is a huge plus.
This place is AMAZING! Its so well organized, making it easy to follow the development of the mafia and related crime fighting organizations over time. Plenty of pictures and videos. Theres so much information that after a while I stopped reading every sign - normally I read as much as I can in a museum - just picking the displays that were intriguing, and still I walked away with my brain bursting. The museum is very interactive. I loved standing in the vault lined with pretend money, looking into the closet which showed jackets with extra pockets and bags with false bottoms (ways that the mob members secretly transported skimmed money).I played poker trivia: the answers were part is the signs scattered around the room. I listened to a docent bring the Valentines day massacre to life as she stood in front of the actual wall where it happened. This is probably the most cleverly designed museum Ive seen. I was so impressed with the quality and quantity of information. The Mob Museum was the best thing we did in Las Vegas! Highly recommend.
