Located in Vegas Northwest, Lone Mountain is a fairly moderate hike without any required scrambling. It should take those in good condition approximately an hour to complete, but best to assume ninety minutes if you plan to take in the scenery up top.Offering panoramic views of the valley, on clear days one can see from Summerlin to Henderson, inclusive of Las Vegas Boulevard and Mt. Charleston.Crowds trend larger than more lengthy hikes but far less dense than Red Rock. Be sure to take plenty of water on warmer days as nearby sources are few.
Very nice views and easy hike
So I come from Phoenix where there are lots of mountains on the city and around. So when I pulled up to this spot I expected a small hill. Was I wrong. This thing towered above the neighborhood. Taller than pirates. Plus few people. And raw. Some perimeter trails but raw scrambling to the top. Great 360 views. Sketchy on the way down. Nice thrill.
