The room is nice. The bed is too soft for my taste and the pillows are too high. Our room on the 2nd floor had no view outside the blinds, so dont expect to have a nice view, as it is only a 2 star hotel. You get what you pay for.Stayed here Thursday before labor day weekend. You have to pay a 100 dollar deposit, so be ready for that. No breakfast available during our stay. The room gets very dark when you close the blinds, so that gives for a good sleep.Water temperature is very good, as hot or as cold as you please. Towels are very rough. If you use the soap and shampoo provided, be ready to have dry hair and skin all day.I dropped a wrapper in the crack between the drawer and closet. Tried reaching in and didnt see there was a screw sticking out. Scratched pretty bad.Very standard room, really just good for sleeping.

Scott is awesome! Not only is a he a cool person to conversate with but also has top of the line customer service, 5 star quality! He always seems to go above and beyond to make sure you know everything is taken care of, intelligent and easily comprehends any issues you may have. Also the hotel is in the perfect location for fun in Vegas on a budget, best black tables Ive ever played! The casino has great food and always seems to have some kind of special going on to save you money. Excellent place on a budget.

Good price, we had a regular king room, it was a little small but it worked just fine for us. Off the strip so it wasn’t noisy. The bed was firm but not too hard. They will not clean your room during your stay because of COVID but we don’t let them in anyways. Yes it’s a no smoking hotel but it did smell like weed in the hall ways. Swimming pool was open and not crowded Which was nice. Check in and out was very easy.

If you are looking for luxury, this isnt the place for you.. if youre looking for a clean & comfortable room... its perfect! They are also remodeling, so bonus! The staff are very friendly, the bed was Very comfortable! The price is super affordable. I lived in Vegas for years... whenever I go back.. I choose the Ellis Island Casino & super 8!

The room was really nice. The staff were ok... nothing to brag about. Rates werent too bad they did ask for a $100 deposit when we checked in which wasnt disclosed during booking but ok I guess... off the strip not too far from the action. Youll need your license plate number to park in their lots... but the room was really really nice!

Im not rating 4 stars on the room, Im rating it on the value and the friendliness of the staff, from the check-in clerk to the dealers and waitstaff at both restaurants!! The room is just ok, it is a place to sleep! The Front Yard is an outstanding bar and brewery!! The staff is fantastic!! The Village Pub has a great NY strip meal and the staff is great there too!! The dealers at the craps and roulette tables were friendly and attentive!! I really enjoyed my time at Ellis Island!!

Front desk staff very professional followed covid19 guidelines our room is spacious and clean. At Ellis Cafe our meal and server is fantastic. We will definitely come back at this property and share my our experience with families and friends.

Stayed here many times throughout the years. Budget hotel with very close proximity to the strip. Theres an older casino next door that has some pretty decent pizza. 7 Eleven on the corner. Rooms are well kept, coin wash and dryer on-site and service has always been good.

Customer service was very good. The food was excellent. My first not there when I went too bed I noticed dry blood drops on my pillow. I took pictures and called it to manager Recardos attention. What the manager did was knocked off the resort fees. Otherwise I had a very nice stay and would return there.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hallway carpeting needed attention. The hotel security was straight up. The manager of the Front yard was very sincere. If you are going on Saturday or Sunday to watch football make a reservation to the Front Yard. They dont tell you this.

The housekeeping supervisor named Ana made our day. We have issues in the bathroom and wanted to exchange rooms she directed us to the front desk but the lady at the front desk told us we cannot. We went back to our room and Ana asked us what happened. At our surprise she even accompanied us for the 2nd time to explain to the front desk what is going on. Got our room exchanged but without Ana will be stucked in a room with a lose toilet and might have accident. What an exceptional attitude. Thank you Ana will be back because of you

Okay cuz it’s cool hotel. Winning is rare but tastes to stay when that 24 place is inedible. For a week I attempted to order anything edible, old frozen salmon . Steak sucked even. Every meal horrid . Only pizza was edible shame

2 years ago I stayed stratosphere based on media. It was dirty and smelly and I regret itI chose Ellis based on price, location was really good. Cant complain about the room, clean, organize. Staff was able to help all the time. Inside the complex 4 options to eat.I will recommend it

Location quite good, but not really clean. Some towel still hv dark spots and we stay for 2 nights but they didnt make up the room and refill soap, tissues and stuffs. The tv not working but staff come and help to fix that.

Stayed at Ellis for 5 days first impression outside hotel is run down but the inside is much better. Was a great value for the price with resort fees. Hotel room was pretty nice not huge but was enough for 3 people the bathroom is really small both were very clean. Best part for us was the jacuzzi closes at 10. This was my first time so next time I would like to stay on the strip. But if you are on a budget I would recommend staying. Its about a 10-15 minute walk to the strip. Theres a few convenience stores around and also there is a liquor store not to far from it if your looking for alcohol.

It was a good hotel for the price and theres convenient stores nearby and a clothing store with super cheap dresses.

I would say its a very good place especially for the price. 5 dollar black jack, some decent ribs and good pizza. And its only 3 stories so no waiting forever in elevator lines

It was the best!! Larger than depicted Fresh Clean Sanitized dHad all amenities including coffee fridge safe blow dryer everything looked new. After cleaning phone and tv remote they place a sticker on them so you know it was cleaned and sanitized. Important during CoViD-19 Pandemic. I only came to Vegas because my mom in hospital here but feel safe and comfortable enough to come for fun... My first time at the hotel but I frequented Ellis Island Casino and Brewery before the CoViD-19. Pandemic.Large flat screen TV. I had a comfy King bed at my request. Some other hotel only offer double beds. Service is fast and efficient. Best Hefe Beer in Vegas!!! Prices are unbeatable Steak was delish. Machines pay out .. Thank you!

4.5 stars in my opinion. Great location, good price, karaoke is popping, happy hour is reasonable, drinks are not and I repeat are NOT watered down. A lot of locals and the food is good. The only reason it is not 5 stars...no microwave but a refrigerator. No gift shop which would be a convenience. No continental breakfast included when they know they have a restaurant. Discounts for food should be given to guest that are paying to stay. Overall its definitely worth the stay.

Love the new Front Yard BUT, would really like to be able to order the same food from the Front Yard. Breakfast would be great in the Front Yard but from what I was told, its coming.Please dont change the small casino and family feel! You guys are super busy now and of course hopefully will keep growing. But I love you guys and this place because EVERYONE is very friendly there. Of all casinos EI is my newest home when in Vegas. Just checked in for a 7 day stay. Used VRBO to book the room; never heard of the place before. Paid $386 for 7 days, yet the room was priced at $25/night. Get to the counter and get told about that there is a “resort fee” of $230.09 to be paid. Never mentioned on vrbo’s site!Resorts have amenities and so we have to disinfect everything and we will provide you with a mask is what i was told.I say, gamble on this place and ya lose!!!I HIGHLY suggest looking elsewhere, the double charging isn’t the worst part. about it! FACTS!

Just got back from another amazing stay at the newly renovated Ellis Island Hotel. Lets just say that they keep on surprising me with all that is new. Talk about The Front Yard Beer Garden....Wow!!!! Incredible food, relaxing atmosphere and fantastic craft brews to boot. You gotta check this locals place out for all that it has to offer. You wont be disappointed. See ya for Super Bowl my friends

Great lower end hotel just off the strip. Super friendly staff, rooms very clean and comfy. 5 Min walk to the strip and about a third of the price of the strip for everything. Food was good, beer was great. Will stay again

Ellis Island...where do I begin? Hospitality is A+ They treated us like they had knew us forever. The room was simple but very comfortable. THE FOOD ESPECIALLY THE BAR B QUE WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD! DRINKS WERE GREAT AND THE CASINO WAS LOTS OF FUN. SO EVERYBODY COME AND VISIT THIS PLACE..YOU WONT BE SORRY.! My boyfriend had been there 15 years and loved it then too.

We really liked this hotel - the price is great, its pretty clean and is at an ideal location - just off strip, with free parking. Honestly for the price there is nothing you can complain about, also they have good value steak dinner (something like $8) if you get their player card for free.

The TV didnt work when we checked in but everything else was up to par for the price.

We have been staying in this hotel for just 2 nights in early November. Rooms have been clean, beds comfortable and staff very friendly. They also do have a casino on-site - the minimum bet for the roulette is very fair with just 5 USD. Staff ( incl. Security ) was very friendly.

Karaoke, steak and eggs, plus they brew their own beer. Some call that a hat trick. Just wait until the beer garden opens. I always enjoy a slightly off-strip joint anyhow, less hassle.

This is the best near strip casino for locals. They really take care of you if youre from here. If you work in the industry here, show them your union card, you can get a free drink every day.With a players card you can get a good steak for really cheap, or you can go to the BBQ and get a rack of ribs for a bit more.

Room was big and clean. Staff was helpful. Place is quiet. There is a casino and restaurant on the premises. I didnt like that they charged me a reservation fee but even with that the price was really good. Parking might get crowded but they have additional parking spots in the back of the hotel.

We come to Vegas every year from Illinois and our experience at this hotel has been wonderful. The price is very economical and only a block away from the Las Vegas strip. We enjoyed our time here. We would definitely come here again.

Nice rooms if a little on the small side but not had a restful sleep yet in the last six nights...... Very noisy due to poor soundproofing between floors and noise from cars left running with music blaring out in the car park. Great food and beer in the casino and helpful staff.

Room was not clean. House keeping did not make beds or replace coffee and waters next day. Went to front desk and ask if these items we’re supposed to be taken care of and was told that yes I had a full service room. Next day beds were made but again not vacuumed or coffee / water replace. Room price and resort fees do not justify amenities.

The renovations are a good thing. Rooms are nice, although not very big. Just right for one person. Bathrooms are very small. The price is very, very reasonable, however. I paid $36 / night here in late July, 2018 for a King sized bed. Of course, theres a resort fee just like everywhere else. If I recall its approx. $22.50 / night.The free beer jug (aka growler) in the room is a nice touch if you drink beer (or root beer). You also get $3.00 vouchers for the continental breakfast served in the BBQ place but its not very good at all and not worth the $5.00-$6.00 cost. For $6.99 you can enjoy steak and eggs in the main restaurant (Village Pub & Cafe) right beside it so definitely consider that route.About the front desk: Checking in was tedious for some reason - the guy seemed new, confused, and possibly high. I had another interaction with the evening front desk and it wasnt positive either. Upon checkout, I had the pleasure of working with Scotty who was as busy as can be (had a line and the phone ringing) but was courteous, efficient, and helpful. They need to clone him and replace the night shift. In sum, if you need the front desk for any reason, go or call in the morning.Without exception, the housekeeping folks here have been very nice, cheerful and helpful. At the end of the day, considering the renovations, the cleanliness, the low cost, and the proximity to the Ellis Island Casino and restaurants, I do recommend staying here.

Good place to stay at just off the Strip of Vegas. At the time of my visit they were remodeling and adding new carpet, furniture and mattresses to the rooms. Which it may have been part of planning, the hallway carpet had shown its wear.

This was a good place for our short time in Las Vegas. We were very comfortable and it was quite quiet at night, and even during the day. Plus the restaurant in the casino next door was very good. We did take a ride share when we went out, because it was too hot to walk during the day. But we saw Elton John at the T Mobile Arena and walked back afterward, when it was cooler.

This place is gross. I have stayed in nicer motels in the middle of nowhere. Zero amenities, sparse pool looks nasty, hot tub was filled with traffic cones (looked abandoned to disrepair for awhile). I wish I had more thumbs so I could give it four thumbs down.

WORST. HOTEL. EVER.Customer service was atrocious. We booked a room for 3 adults but they only gave us 1 bed to share.Asked for extra roller bed, they said they didn’t have any. Asked for extra blankets so my friend could sleep on the floor, they said we had to go get it from the front desk ourselves. All the while being extremely rude.Asked for a refund, they said they couldn’t do it. So we asked for a refund on the resort fee since we were only there for less than an hour, they said they couldn’t do it.Asked us to call their manager tomorrow at 7am because he is an extremely busy man and could not give us, the paying customers, a call.If you want a bad time in Vegas, i highly recommend this place.

2nd time staying here & consequently only our 2nd time staying here, and already my wife & I wont stay anywhere else. This places checks all the boxes we are looking for in Vegas: close to the strip, cheaper rooms & resort fees, free parking, cheap food that also tastes decent with good portions, an in-house brewery with craft beers on tap (and free beer upon check-in), $5 Blackjack, quiet & clean rooms, nice & helpful employees, comped drinks while youre gambling. Those are just off the top of my head but I honestly cant think of a reason to stay anywhere else. We love this place!
