We went here on Black Friday night... It wasnt to crowded but there were some shoppers there... I was just a tag along on this trip... My daughter wanted to make some gifts for her friends and colleagues... There was a very good selection of all kinds of crafting items... There were tons of Christmas items for your home decorative needs...Being that we went in the late afternoon there wasnt to much staff members around to help or to answer questions actually walking around we didnt see any... We found what we were looking for on our own but it took some time... Also there were quite a few items that I wanted but no price so I ended up putting it back... Being Black Friday maybe they were busy during the day but there was quite a few misplaced items...Right by the check out there were lots of snacks which doesnt help when you hungry... Kinda strange to see stuff like that at a craft store... But that is typically what all stores do to get you to buy just one more thing...Regardless our trip was a success... Found what was needed...

There were so many sales going on, I had a hard time choosiwhat I wanted. Then I ended up buying more than expected, its a great store. You have so many ideas to choose from.

Theyre low on stock in many areas, well stocked in others. Not too busy when I went over. It took a long time to find what I wanted, but a helpful employee finally led me to the right place.

I have always liked Michaels. I went there yesterday to buy a cake box and managed to find additional items for a birthday cake I am baking for my friend. My $2.00 item turned into a $19.00 purchase but my friends cake will be beautiful. Michaels carries everything and I love to walk around the entire store.

Customer service was amazing! I ask a staff member How to find what I was looking for, she told me exactly which aisle and middle or end! This made me so happy! There were multiple check out cashiers so the line wasn’t long and they always have coupons! I found some glitters for my nails and the weren’t too high priced!

The worst experience I’ve ever had. I decided to take advantage of their “price match” policy and the managers did everything they could to not honor it. I read the whole policy online before coming to the store, I called ahead and spoke to the employee to get the details on the policy, and again was told the policy is as stated online. When I arrived with the photos and live website of the item being advertised at a lower price, they refused to honor it. Can’t call the 888 number because apparently everyone has been laid off. Can’t get thru on chat. The management refuses to bubble up the issue to upper management and have them call or email me to discuss it. The store managers are allowed to act independently and blatantly ignore the policy that’s written online. They try and manipulate the verbiage but when you pull up the website to show them they’re incorrect you’re met with nothing but more lies and deflection and reasons they can’t honor it. So disappointing that you can’t trust a retailer to stand by their word and allow them to make the rules as they go. The biggest issue with giving (or not giving, who knows because you can’t get any help above store level) management the freedom to pick and choose who they will follow the policy for, is it allows for an inconsistent experience. Why is it okay for one person to get the price match but not another? Are customers being profiled and treated differently based on management’s perception of them? Even when I provided proof that my friend had been honored the same deal I was asking for I was told “NO!” As a customer, if you update or change your policies you should amend your public postings so there’s no misrepresentation. Shame on this company and shame on these managers.

Nice except there isnt hardly anyone around to help you ever. I just want to find scratch paper art and they send me to the kids section and then I find a book with designs to scratch off the color. Not what Im looking for. And no one will walk you to the item. It seems to be the same issue at all Michaels so.

I stood in line to ask how to attach the yarn in a hook latch rug. I asked the cashier if see could call someone to help me. She said Google it . I said I would like to speak to a human. While waiting for her supervisor who also refused to help me ...I got in an arguement with some woman not wearing a mask. It is the LAW and they dont care !!! This happened at about 12:30 Mon. the 17th of Aug. Will spend $$ at Jo Anns. Can never find help at Michaels for years.

I love Michaels but then I love all arts and crafts! This location is centrally located and is easy to find. This store has always been clean, well stocked and staff available if needed. Their price scanners work (love it) and sale items are noticeably labeled (yay).

I decided to take advantage of the curbside service for the first time today April 8, 2020 and made my purchases online. I called them at 10:10 AM this morning and the store employee told me Id have to wait a couple hours for them to process my order. I waited patiently and NEVER received an email or a phone call regarding my order. At 15:40 I called them instead to see what was going on (since I only purchased 3 very small items) I was told that THE POLICE SHUT THIS LOCATION DOWN and that they were cancelling all their orders. Im most disappointed in the lack of communication with this issue, that I had to call myself to find out this important information because I didnt get what I paid for, no confirmation as of now that my order was cancelled (so I can bet my money back) and Im frustrated that I gave them my number for them to notify me, when I placed the order in the first place and they didnt even utilize it for an especially important situation as a store shutdown! I understand the situation but the circumstances around the situation couldve been handled more efficiently.

Literally my favorite place to go for all things art. I honestly cant wait to go back there. Its been a while since I was there, but even then I found myself getting so many cool things. From paint brushes, canvases, markers, and so much more.

Bought something online to pick up in store and I had to stand there for several minutes and buzzed the button 3 times until one of the staff members came to ask if I needed something... they didnt even really have any customers so not sure what took so long. Store front looked somewhat dirty. I wont be coming to this location again

Its kinda a mix between Blick Art and Joanne Fabrics (which says way more about the once awesome Joanne Fabric store).They do have some good sales sometimes. I usually wait to buy art supplies for the sales.

I love Michaels, as far as a stand alone craft store, they work for me because theres no fabric section. What I dont like is how bare the shelves are, especially when the app says items are in stock, plus it seems to change week to week what products you can and cant use the coupons for. The other thing I dont like is most of the employees dont know where anything is. This particular location at Charleston /Decatur seems to always be 50/50.

The evening staff consistently goes above and beyond any expectation I could ever imagine! Staff is warm and never has made me feel like a burden!In a store full of amazing supplies its your amazing staff that consistently inspires me!!!

My review is for the specific Michaels store on Dekatur. I live over in the Southwest and rarely go to an Michaels but the one near me. But since the Pandemic, I can not find the yarn thst I need there. I ordered for curbside pickup from the Dekatur stors and hauled my kids over there. I not only waited easily 10 to 15 minutes, but the woman who came out was definitely showing that she was put out having to come out and almost threw my bag in the passengers side window. When I called back to speak to a manager I was i formed that the woman was a higher manager than the shift manager I was speaking to and there was nothing he could do about it. Now, there is a yarn I need and it is at that store, but I am searching elsewahere because I do not want to go back to that store.

So much to choose from. I was there shopping to make some kind of flower or plant arrangement . I ended up finding everything I needed and more. Its nice when its a one stop shop. They always have great deals and such cute stuff. The wait was a little long when checking out. There was only one checker but its ok. The staff was helpful and nice. The end product turned out so awesome!

Currently a lot of stuff is out of stock. Employees are hard to find. Theres not much going on in the store. This isnt a dig at Michaels, but this store specifically feels like its on their last legs just hoping not to get shut down like so many other businesses in this shopping plaza.

When your inside this place, its like each isle your walking down, contributes in unveiling creative thought processes one never knew they had.

Selection is great and massive, though supplies are relatively generic (less specialized materials). Customer service is good, and helpful. Prices are generally on the high end unless you use coupons or shop specials though they are available pretty often just a small hoop to jump through.

Changed a lot since I ate at a Crackerbarrel in Tennessee..they took the country out of it and replaced it with Denneys ..too bad

Whew- what a sad experience. Lots of empty and messy shelves. And a HUGE line. One lady was hustling and ringing up guests quickly and the other poor young man,...well Ive seen paint dry faster. I even tried to encourage him to ring more quickly as there were over ten people waiting in line.

Perfect store to look for small decor or small accessories to your home. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Just found out that they have a UPS service area in the back of the store, in case you missed the scheduled delivery. Go directly towards the back at the custome frame section.

I usually have a good experience here, and mostly every Michael’s really, but today was awesome. I am creating something out of my head completely with no plan whatsoever (scary, I know) and I’m on a time crunch. I saw Mark, the manager, assisting someone in spray paint and when he was finished I asked for help. Long story short, he gave me additional options that not only helped my budget but also made more sense (choosing a cheaper paint for a base coat instead of using multiple cans of glitter spray paint for coverage, and showing me a location of a brand of paint marker in a larger size, vs buying 4 smaller size of the major craft brand). very helpful, and very knowledgeable!
