Stopped by for annual sheep shearing and period display event. Volunteers are knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic to share about their craft. Very kid friendly. They have a couple newborn lambs. Tours of the house available and give an interesting perspective to the history of the area. They are boasting a new chicken house/pen.Suggested donation of $2. I certainly encourage a little more to help keep history alive in Montgomery County.
Awesome grounds to walk around and explore
Very well kept small piece of history. The volunteers are very knowledgeable.
This place is awesome. It has history, it has community events, its a great place to walk your dog. I love that this homestead is right down the street! What a great little slice of heaven.
They do an excellent job bringing us back in time. Very interesting!
This is an old farmstead with farmhouse, barn and other buildings, sheep, horses and chickens. Theres a nature trail that brings the property. Just a nice place to visit and offers something for everyone. Take a camera.
Great historical site, extremely well maintained and amazing staff.
What a nice visit, our guide was full of information and facts of history ! Very welcoming !
Our tour volunteer was very friendly and accommodating. I liked that he also spoke to our 6 year old son and didnt ignore him due to his age. He was very informative about the historical setting of the farm. Anyone interested in Revolutionary War Era history should make a stop at the Peter Wentz Farmstead.
Lovely place and a great tour at night
Excellent personal, unscripted Tour. Small group. Allowed to interject and ask questions. Very detailed to 1777. Yes Washington did sleep here. Many varieties of programs throughout the year for all ages. The House Tour is FREE
Such an amazing place! The people who live and work on the farm are so informative and realistic to the times.
Mmmmmm... good
So much fun, everybody is nice and so polite. The activities were just awesome. Cant wait to go again
Historic farmhouse/property. Very popular candle light tours during Christmas season. They offer several 1 week programs for kids of all ages during the summer, featuring colonial crafts and activities.
Low key old time farmstead run by Montco Parks.
Great place to learn about how people lived and worked back in the days, and its a very educational place. You can take kids on field trips here to learn a little something.
A must see historical location. The grounds are well kept and the volunteers are knowlagable and friendly people. Theres a pavilion next to the parking lot with picnic tables.
I been going to this farmstead since I was little with my grandma. I now volunteer there since 7th Grade. Everyone there is super nice and willing to help anyone. The history there is so rich and enjoyable to learn.
Thank goodness for those who want to preserve the best of our past.....
Great park to take a daily walk.
Fun sheep shearing day and open house.
