Disappointed in this place. Not enough happening to make it worth going. And the food is just a huge disappointment. Seeing it’s a farm you expect great quality but that’s not the case. Their pies are terrible! The crust is made with palm oil. Why would you serve a pie with such cheap ingredients from a farm? Yuck! Mine as well go to the supermarket and buy same quality pie for half the price (if you like eating gross pies with cheap ingredients). Oh well you live and learn.

Went to purchase a turkey for Thanksgiving today and I was sorely disappointed. The staff were very snippy and seemed to have an attitude. I didn’t drive in holiday traffic to be bossed around and shouted at for trying to support your establishment. So much for a happy Thanksgiving when your staff don’t seem to care that we are the ones keeping you in business this pandemic. It’s a shame this place has become so commercialized but I won’t feel too bad spending my money elsewhere.

This place is always a treat! Wonderful product, especially the ice cream which has well-earned fame all over the region. It is a wonderful place to walk around, see the animals, and appreciate the wonderful scenery of a working farm. Having a toddler now gives me even more appreciation as i see his joyful reaction.Lastly, their covid-19 plan is so well done and efficient! Looking at the line, we almost turned around. But we stuck it out and it was so smooth and fast. Thank you to all of the hardworking staff who continue to provide fantastic service and a great experience!

Went 3 weeks ago to purchase cornstalks. Employees in the pumpkin corral were not wearing masks and didn’t have any nearby. This was not while minding their business, this was while they were checking out customers, including me. Messaged management and was told this would be addressed. 2 weeks later and a friend of mine went and mentioned that employees were not wearing masks. I have since also found out that a week prior to my visit another friend was there with no masks on employees.. what the heck. This is so irresponsible. If you don’t want to encourage customers to wear masks, that’s one thing, but for your employees to ignore guidelines? Merrymead is always packed and I understand they have on their website that now is not the time to visit if you want social distancing, but there’s a difference between social distancing and mask wear. Won’t ever go back again.

I loved all of the cut outs to take pictures with the kids & the fact that they had the year on the display for photos. Im giving a 4 star because I thought the hayride was expensive. Its $5 for everyone, even if your child is only 1. Pricey for a family of 6 - $30 to ride around the farm at night with not much to see. I just thought it was a little lackluster. The farm animals were cool to check out as well.Overall we had fun :)I grabbed a calendar for the month of October from one of the stores. Well be back to check out more next time.

Wouldn’t know about the place. We respect they don’t want leashes dogs near their farm animals but they wouldn’t allow us to be in the perimeter, 3 ft on the outside of the fence so we could see the pumpkins. No barnyard animals anywhere but one screaming guy waving his big lighted stick. There are other places all up and down the road

Great ice cream and cute farm. Unfortunately, most employees don’t wear masks, which is incredibly disappointing. I only ever go at non-peak hours, but there is always a decent amount of people. We’re able to social distance for the most part, but it’s incredibly discouraging when the man collecting tickets out of your hand and driving you around on the hayride has no mask, and talks close to people on the hayride like there isn’t a pandemic happening. I also heard him encouraging people to “move together” so he could fit more people on the ride. No thank you! I get we’re outside, but guidelines should still be followed. Not one sign about mask wearing, social distancing, etc. I’ve been to a few farms this fall, and most others are handling things appropriately. Wish Merrymead would do their part.

My family was very disappointed in the ice cream and the service. The 2 scoop cup was $5.50 and very skimpy. It didn’t even go over the top of the cup. The ice cream is definitely different. The vanilla moo tracks had hardly any peanut butter cups in it and the cotton candy ice cream used to have tiny chocolate chips in it and it didn’t have them and tasted bland. After spending all that $$, we decided never again, we will get Ben and Jerry’s instead!

Was asked to leave because we had our dog. There were no signs, nothing in the website about not allowing dogs. It’s a farm with multiple animals but no dogs. That’s fine to have rules about it but at least post it and make it known so that people don’t drive 45 mins to come to this place and then have to leave. Unprofessional and discourteous. Just an FYI this is a 5 lb dog that could have been put into a sling we brought to be worn around a chest. Will not support this place.

First visit this year was in early May. The young lady who checked me out, where vegetables are sold, wore her mask below her nose.A month later I returned to buy lettuceand tomatoes. There is absolutely no monitoring for social distancing (there were two employees standing at the entrance talking). People are entering at the opposite entrancewhere there is an ice cream window and then thethose of us are waiting to check out on the plant side.I saw no outside checker on either if my visits. There are a lot of young folk buying ice cream and no thought is being given to older people who need to be extra careful. I am quite surprised that things are so lax here. waiting a turn to check out h

We are on our Pursuit of Ice Cream trail challenge sponsored by PA Preferred and so we hit both Lansdale based dairies. This location, Merrymead, was welcoming, clean and the ice cream was tasty ( banana shake a little too much real, not much ice cream flavor). Prices were a little high, but freshness is worth it (and based on length of line, with in range for their usual customers). Their farm stand produce prices were high for what I am used to but we still bought some pickles and local veggies. The cow was adorable, all animal areas super clean and welcoming. Thank you!

Nice little farm and store for family activities and ice cream! We stopped in quick to taste what all the fuss was about. The store is located off the side of the road with ample parking in front. There were signs for a petting zoo but it was closed for renovations so unfortunately we were unable to really gander through the land - just went into the store itself to see what there was to offer.I have to say - delicious ice cream! Lots of flavors, and great texture. Its creamy and sweet, and just the right amount of change between flavors to make you coming back for more. You can either stand in line and purchase scoops to go, or if youre familiar with their flavors - some of their more popular ones are ready to purchase by the pint!Outside of the ice cream, there are other general convenience store finds, along with lots of packaged desserts. All the prices are quite marked up, so its not really worth investing too much money for a few items, but every now and then its nice to indulge!Enjoy!

This is the iconic and ultimate farm experience for families with kids in the area. It is well worth a visit even if you have to drive a bit. This is very much a working dairy farm but they have set up spaces for kids of all ages to be able to take a look around (while still keeping it safe to reassure mom and dad). They have a large seasonal outdoor market, plus and indoor local produce shed and their year-round store selling tons of Pennsylvania produced foods. Plus year-round ice cream and milk from their own cows. It can get busy on the weekend but they do good job of managing the flow. A must-see if you have kids,

I was told about this farm by a friend and I found out what an amazing place this is! It is full of variety of home made, local & fresh products. We tried their whole milk & strawberry milk which was so good. You can quickly taste the freshness of the milk unlike the store packaged ones with lots of preservatives. I also had the best ice creams here (and hence a bit pricier than other places) coconut being my favorite! You can’t miss their ice creams. Also the products are not very expensive as we imagined earlier but were fairly priced. We will definitely buy dairy and eggs here going forward and will try some more products next time. Merrymead was a family tradition growing up. We went every Fall when I was a child. I have great memories. Its just not the same as an adult. I still enjoyed it but it is pretty pricey. And really is geared to young children. For my 11 year old doing the giant corn maze was really the only age appropriate thing. But if you have kids 2-8 I think this is more appropriate for them. Still pricey though for what it is. We easily spent $100+ just doing the corn maze, buying 2 pumpkins, and eating a small lunch.
