Lindo Lake County Park

Nice park with lots of nature to watch. Great place for a family picnic. Its also great for walking or running on the trails.

I was at the VFW Hall on the south east side of the park having brunch. I dined overlooking the park to the north west. When I was done I parked in the lot to take these pictures of the lake. Today is Sunday September 20th 2020, its beautiful day in Lakeside California at Lindo Lake Park.

It is a lovely family & friends park to relax at with peace & serenity right by the green algae Lindo Lake while you watch the feathered animals gracefully swim to & from the green lake water. The feathered animals squawk whenever some people feed them with green leafy vegetables, tiny nuts, and pieces of bread crumbs. There are few squirrels grabbing bread & nuts that are too big size for feathered animals beak that the latter know not to eat the big size nuts for they can choke them.

Nice place to have a stroll or enjoy the cool breeze. Lindo park has a lot to offer from a tennis court to a skate park. I stop by every so often when I want to try a new fishing lure or a technique but cant get to any of the other lakes. Its quiet here but the fish dont seem to bite.

Great spot to walk your dog around the lake. 2 playgrounds and a skate park for kids, plus a library, inside and outside basketball court, workout equipment, 2 tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and horseshoe pits.

I cant wait for all the improvements that are about to begin. My grandfather was a daily walker, rain or shine. He would say that early in the morning the lake was beautiful. Looking forward to the transformation.

Lots of geese! If youre going to eat grab a picnic table a bit away from the lake or they may get curious. But my kids loved looking at them!

This place has lots of shade trees to keep you cool on a warm afternoon. I stop here often to walk the dog, play some tennis or just walk the lake to unwind. Recently the second pond has been refilled and it’s looking good.

Great place to walk around and enjoy the Ducks and scenery. It has a really nice skatepark and its a good size and areas for different skill levels. Bathrooms are clean and there is a water fountain for dogs, drinking from, and to refill water bottles. Blank and blank is that the workout equipment is still blocked off. This might be mandated but its silly... Every piece of equipment is at least 6 feet apart from each other.

Nice relaxing place birds are Fearless eat out of your hand. People are chill i recommend this for family and friends.

Good place to have a picnic. Also great place to bike,walk or jog around the lake. Lots of parking.

Fun little oasis in Lakeside. Activities for everyone: skatepark, jogging/biking path, skatepark, playground, lake with wildlife. Fun to watch it change with the seasons

We ride the trails and everyone well most, 9 out of 10, say good morning to you how are you doing, all while wearing their mask Im comfortable there.

Friendly, clean, safe. Responsible pet owners, but crazy ducks.

If the lake had fresher water it would be much nicer.

The lake needs some attention but the park is pretty nice.

First time walking my dog at Lindo Lake and we loved it! Nice flat wide walkways, clean, plenty of parking and with beautiful views of the lake. Easy mile walk with my Lab. We will come back for future walks!

I have grown up next to this park my whole life. It was pretty bad at one point and I didnt go often but now its gotten really nice again. The lake has refilled and even the algae in one lake seemed to be clearing up a little bit. Its a beautiful lake to walk around if you want to go for a walk. There is a playground for kids, a gym area to work out, tennis courts and even a skate park.

Great place to take your kids and dogs! Awesome paths to walk around the lake. Great place to have a picnic and hangout with family. There is fishing and feed the many types of ducks and geese.

The water stinks but its pretty to look at most of the time... just dont look toooo closely... you might see a rat floating in there.

The have a beautiful butterfly garden with amazingly beautiful flowers...was a nice time and its changed for the good. Pleasantly surprised.

Really enjoy this lake we bring wild bird seed to feed the birds and critters. The kiddos love the huge playground and the little ones love the small gated playground right near the lake... Wish there was more signs explaining that youre not supposed to feed the birds bread... There was soooo much bread in and around the lake... With a rec center, skatepark, library and walking path around the lake, this place is fun for ALL AGES and the birds are not aggressive towards humans..

Ive been enjoying Lindo Lake from the time I was a baby 40 years ago. It hasnt gotten any less beautiful over the years, and still brings back memories. I brought my kids here when they were toddlers, and theyre now grown. Im looking forward to the third generation enjoying the lake some day.

Lovely park & little pond/lake w/various animals. Such as a variety of birds & squirrels.

Love Lindo Lake! Its so beautiful any time of day. Great for dog walking, picnics, or fishing...watch out for those hungry aghressive ducks, they will waddle right up to you! Wish there was a snack bar and more historical markers. This was a special vacation place when the train used to come through Lakeside, so why doesnt the city make more effort to educate the residents and visitors about it?

At certain times its family- friendly and other times there are more homeless about

Its very pleasant and doesnt smell like bum pee.

This is one of the best parks in all San Diego. Stones throw away from DT Lakeside no less! No offense LS, you know what youve done. Kidding but it really is a great park. Something for literally everyone. Plenty of room for both footballs. Playground. A b.i.t.c.h.i.n. skatepark. Feed the ducks.Since theyve drained and refilled the water the place is goegeous.

Beautiful, very quiet. Amazing place to sit either outside or in your car and just admire the water and trees, do some homework, watch the geese. The entire park looks very well maintained and cared for, and it seems to be a very popular spot in the community. For good reason, it really is a lovely spot to spend your time!

PERFECT FOR BIRD WATCHERS, FREE BIRD WATCHING, MANY SPECIES OF BIRDS, SOME SQUIRRELS, BEAUTIFUL LAKE, MORNINGS BEST, GYM WALKERS ALLOWED, DOG WALKERS, SKATE BOARD PARK, LUNCH TABLES, OUTSIDE WORKOUT MACHINES.

Great place to hang out. I seen a lot of ducks and a lot of teens ducking from adults. I assume theyre smoking the devils lettuce. However this is an amazing park to walk around if youre not afraid of geese. Totally worth the walk.

Lovely park. All the various birds are nice to watch and feed. Great place for a picnic or group get together.

This lake is enjoyable for all ages and theres a lot to do. If you like to fish this smaller lake is perfect. If you want to walk, run or just stroll along the lake its perfect.Theres also exercise equipment outside for you to use.My daughter brings her daughter to the play area near the Library. Near the Library is a community center and a skate park.The scenery is quite nice with lots of grass, trees, picnic tables and a large variety of geese, ducks and birds.Yes, there are public restrooms.The only real negative thing about Lindo Lake is that there is a bit of homeless hanging around.I hope you do check it out for yourselves and your family.

I havent been to the park in a few years, So I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the East end of the lake had water! Its a very pleasant park and my dog and I look forward to our walks around the lake!

Lindo Lake Park is beautiful! The grounds are well-kept, including the restrooms. I constantly see park rangers tending to the facilities and they are very friendly. There are several paths for walking/running and two playgrounds, which are perfect for my two children. The local fauna include geese and ducks, which are fun to watch and add a lot to the ambiance. We visit almost every day.

Lindo lake is a nice park myself and wife when to see a movie there we saw Transylvania 3 it was fun seeing movies at night summer time movies Recommend this place to take your family to see movies

Wonderful place to have a picnic, take a stroll, walk your dog or jog around the lake...Go Bird watching or feed the duck..There is a Skate Park, tennis courts, Baseball field, bike riding, BBQing...You are surrounded by hills and mountains..Lindo Lake also has a Library, Community Senior Center and a Recreation Center ..So Please Take a Trip to Lakeside and visit our Wonderful Little Town and Lindo Lake..Thank you !

Excellent park to have fun

This park is just a quiet little Park. Theres a interesting cross section of people. Lots of Dogs walking their owners:). Rangers take pride in the park, and always have a smile for you.

Beautiful place to go to on a nice ride, lots of swans, geese, ducks, birds, ect. Lots of poop on the grass due to all the birds haha watch your step or walk on the asphalt. Gotta love mother nature!P.S. the V.F.W. is welcoming and friendly, they were grilling and selling delicious burgers and all beef hotdogs. Dont know if its a weekend thing or if we just got lucky but we were glad we hadnt brought lunch with us. #SanDiegoScooterSquadron #HondaHelix87

The water never clear I dont know why they dont do something about it

This place looks a thousand times better than I remember. The people who work there have done a great job. I highly recommend this park. All they need to do Is fix the green lake.

My son had a BMX competition here on Saturday the 24th of june.. this was my first time here and I think the park is awesome. For all types of people. Its a skate park as well as places to get married and also to walk or see ducks.. great time and it would be a great family park. With many options to have a great time.

The locals have invested a lot into this park, there is an abundance of wildlife, I have seen so many squirrels since I left Tennessee

El Cajon skateboard park was closed for private lessons. So, I came here instead.

Wonderful place to hangout, exercise. The birds sounds from the lake will entertain you. Even the little squirrels will welcome you.

Fun place at the skatepark

Back a few years ago I wouldnt have given a 5 star but recently they have been cleaning things up and it doesnt smell as bad any more ! I also love the baby squirrels.

Love the architecture around here looks like a nice area until you see tweakers fighting and doing tweaker type things. Watch out for the geese as they will not move for your car

Its beautiful, clean, it is a great place.

I like the park but they need to get rid of homeless people blocking the bathrooms and fixing their bikes.I love the ducks, geese and all the different birds and especially all the different dogs that are super cute. The park rangers are totally cleaning up the park. They are on top of things. I have faith things are getting getting better every day.

Perfect for family events, has a nice sidewalk all the way around thats lovely to take the dogs for a stroll, and even has a skatepark and a nice little area for working out

I always love coming here. No matter the time of day, season we are in, where the stars are in the solar system I dont care.My dogs love it here. We have a blast. They manage to find something new to get into everytime we go.The people in the morning are as friendly and small town valued as it gets. The type of people who pass by you and will smile and say, good morning. Or stop and let the dogs have a little fun.A million hole in the wall breakfast places. Just follow your nose. Great spot!!!!

The native plant garden is looking really nice! The milkweed has signs of Monarch butterfly larvae which is a sign of a healthy, organic garden. The rangers are so great. Talked a bit to one tonight about preventing ophreocystis elektroscirrha in the Monarch butterflies by cutting back the non-native milkweed. He seemed receptive, which is important. The Monarchs need all the help they can get. Thanks for planting a garden to help them.
