Nice trails for a stroll, big fields for picnic or activities. There is also a library that uses the same parking lot so thats convenient. The playground is huge but probably better for kids ages 5 to 10 because it has some pretty tall climbing setups that require some reach. However, there are 4 big slides which are easily accessible; as well as some spinning platforms (think smaller merry-go-round with rope handles instead of bars). The playground is generally new construction, so very safe. It has green metal hexagons and other interesting shapes in the design that made this one standout from traditional playground asthetics.

They replaced both play areas with a 2 to 5 year old area. On a scale of 1-10 our 7 year old gave it a 2. So youll need to either find another park for your older child to have fun or go to another park altogether. After all these years well be finding another park.

We love this park!! These pictures don’t do it justice, they have since updated everything. The playground is really cool and modern with cool jungle gym like climbing structures, fun slides and just a very cool vibe. Super close to the library & walking trails and plenty of shade, & parking. Bathrooms available as well as bathrooms in the library. One of our favorite parks so far in the Lake Mary area!

Come here to practice roller skating, my partner comes to keep company and practice his flat ground for skateboarding. Usually pretty empty, especially in the morning! Only downside is theres not much in the way of shade, Id bring an umbrella for water breaks, or you can just sit on the ground.

A nice little park to bring the family. There’s plenty of parking spaces so you’ll never have to worry about overcrowding. There’s plenty of activities for children and adults and the park is well maintained and in a good area.

I would give it 5 stars because it has a new playground but the restrooms werent open. Called them 4 times. The guy came out and only unlocked part of the door. It had two locks on them. We finally had to leave.

TIME FOR A NEW PARK, LAKE MARY.This is a sad little park. The condition is unacceptable. Here’s why:1. Chunks of turf are missing. Children trip on these big holes. See photo.2. Patches of dead grass, so kids are often playing with the ant hills in the sand. Plus, the teenagers litter the ground.3. The playground equipment has not been maintained. It needs paint and basic upkeep.4. Large park real estate but only TWO baby/toddler swings. In the mornings, parents are often crowding around the swings waiting for a turn.5. The big kid swings are missing 3 of the 4 swings. One swing for an entire park! The surrounding neighborhoods are middle class. There’s new construction in the area. There should be sufficient money allotted for our children’s park.*Sylvan Lake Park* and *Greenways Natural Land* - please take the above into consideration when managing our park.

Have been to this park in Lake Mary 3 times and each time have had fun on the playgrounds! Watch out for red ants under the picnic tables and broken glass too, but the playground equipment is perfect for toddlers and elementary aged children. Plenty of benches for parents to watch from. Also some adult sized exercise equipment within view of the playgrounds. Right next door to the Northwest branch of the Seminole library, so a no brainer to check out books and watch a storytime before or after playground time.Parking at one end of the park for the park and small parking lot at the library at the other end. Nice tall trees along the walk between both. Water fountains outside too.Since it’s by the high school, be prepared for school dismissal time because the car/bus traffic as well as the student foot traffic gets very intense for about 20 mins. in the afternoon.

Our kid goes here after school almost everyday. Its a great safe location that I trust for my teens to be at alone. Great job lake Mary for having this park.

Review №17

It is sad to see that the child playground equipment is in such a serious state of disrepair that it should just be scrapped before a child gets injured. You would think that the incredibly rich city of lake Mary would pitch in to make one of the only public parks it has at least safe for children to play at. I mean every cop in the city is driving around in a brand new cruiser and the amount of cruisers the city police have compared to the size of the city is complete overkill. Maybe the city of lake Mary might consider taking 20k off the city police budget and fixing up this park.

Love this park! Best park near Lake Mary Florida.I typically take my lunch break and meet my wife here sense it close to the office for a relaxing get away. Two size playgrounds, one for 5+, and one for 5 and under.Had plenty of swings, handicap swing, and wheelchair accessible. Limited parking doing school hours cause of the high school. Also right next to library, were you can make a fun day for your little ones.

Good place for kids of all ages. There is a playground for younger kids and a playground for older kids. Both need some TLC and there is only 1 of the 4 swings (guessing the other 3 broke off)... but there are 2 baby swings, which can be hard to find. Located in a good area.

This place is nice. Theres a nice trail through some trees. There are sometimes high school kids, which can be fine. Theres a random hockey rink(?). The library is right by, so although theres no bathroom directly in the park, thats a close walk. The parking is adequate. Theres a playground. Theres a pond. Theres some random exercise equipment.

The park could definitely use some attention. Most every park we frequent in the Seminole county parks network had been amazing. But Greenwood lakes play equipment is dirty the bathroom smells and almost always has one stall locked, and the pavilion often smells also. I really think it could be better

Ive been going to this park since i was a little boy. Now, almost 30yrs later, i take my kids here and they can play, just the same as i did at that age. Park has been thru some changes over the years, starting with the addition of the Roller Hockey Ring and Tennis Courts; to upgrading the playgrounds. Some stuff, like bathrooms and benches are the same, but why waste money if they still work. All in all, I love bringing my kids to this Park.

Its a very nice park. They have two sets of play areas according to age group. This keeps little kids from being pushed or tackled by older children. This was a cute park..its been around a while, you can tell. The reason I didnt give 5 stars was bc they only had 1 swing for the bigger kids and the area where the 1 swings located is falling apart. It needs a bit of updating. Its in a nice area and the other parents were very nice and welcoming!

A roller-skating rink is on the premises and its right next to the public library if you need to walk inside air conditioning for a few minutes after playing. There are always a few other kids to play with and lots of shade which is nice even though its still hot because its Florida.
