Easy access to fishing dock and plenty of shoreline if you want to bank fish. Local anglers are cool peeps. Nice sized Small mouth bass and Stripers along with tons of lil stripers at daybreak.
Its free. But be careful there is an abrupt drop-off. Its not a big deal as long as you know its there. Gets crazy on holiday weekend afternoons, lots of alcohol induced stupidly. Fun to watch but city has fenced it off from spectators.
Get your anchovies at Chevron then head down to the dock and have fun fishing. The only thing is a lot of people know about this spot and some dont respect other peoples space.
Great launch. We go there all the time. It gets busy on holiday weekends, so be prepared for a wait during those times.
Site six is a great place to launch, its free! & The restrooms are very clean
It was good, just wouldnt use if crowded, not much room.
Site Six is wide enough to handle 3 watercraft being launched at once. Theres a njce teardrop-shaped drive that sets you up well to back your craft into the water. Its nice that you dont have to pay to launch your craft. There are free slips to moor your boat to take on passengers and items, but theyre meant to be temporary. When taking your craft out of the water, theres a lane for you to stop, pull your plug, throw away trash and dry your boat. Theres even a fish cleaning station, but the nearby dumpster stinks to high heaven after fish guts and scales have been baking in the heat.
This is a very good launch site but it can be crowded so have a bit of patience. The launch is not difficult to move on...its pretty wide...wide enough for three vehicles launching or loading. Some have said its steep but it really isnt. You will run into people who are in a hurry and a bit anxious but ignore them...load and unload safely. Parking lot can be full often...might have to park up around the corner.
Fun, clean location, with a nice public fishing dock & boat launch.
Daughter at 4 caught her first fish off these docks, great place!
Great Boat Ramp but it gets crowded fast.
Nice and free but busy on Sat afternoons!
Love it, free boat launch and always in great condition.
It is a very relaxing place and do some thinking, but needs benches to set on
Easy to launch your boat from this location.
The best! You havent done Havasu until youve launched and heckled at Site 6. I even picked up a buddy there in the morning after a long night on the town. At least he knew enough to get there by dawn so he didnt miss us launching for the day!
Super easy launching. Close parking
Great place to launch at. Plenty of room and parking available.
Cant beat a free place to launch and park. Just be cautious the boat ramp is usually slippery so people usually loose traction trying to pull out.
Beautiful place especiallyCatching a sunrise.
Went magnet fishing. Had a blast. The place was nice and clean.
Free launch on the island, small dock, a bunch of debris in the water.
Oh i will be coming back for sure love the docks and the pier fishing. Cought my first stripper there also
Good area to launch, gets busy so go early
A nice launch ramp a it is a little steep, but nice.
It was nice kind of desolate but good if you had a boat to Launch
Great place for some fishin
Beautiful kayak trip around the island!
I mean, if your from out of town, have a super lift on your two wheel drive truck, want to pack your whole family on a 90hp pontoon, and absolutely can not back a trailer in......this place should be right up your alley.....no, no it isnt, but youll come here anyways
A little tight a little steep got a nice boat launch especially for free
Fast, easy, and best of all close to the rv park
Great rocks! Love to rock hunt there.
Terrific place to launch, lots of parking, free, and good vibes
Dock is awesome. Visitors are friendly, wish some would learn to clean up after themselves. Love fishing and hanging out. The view is beautiful.
Easy access, short, short walk. Go in the early morning or later in the day just before sunset and enjoy the sunset and fishing.
Very convenient. Nice to be close by.
There is a lot of wildlife there. The fishing is also great. Super sunsets
Nice launch for free.
Good during the week days but crazy on the weekends
First time fishing, No fish, though locals claim great spot
Best place on big weekends bring your chair and drinks
Close and easy access. Popular spot.
It works, and its free. And cleaner than the State Park.
Free launching is great, nice ramp and facility... I just would not go anywhere near there on busy weekends or holidays.
Its a nice area to just hang out and enjoy the spring weather. If your launching a boat, becareful the ramp is tricky.
The only good thing about site six is that its free to launch at. The problem is that its a small ramp, has generally less experienced people launching than other launch sites, and has very poor traction on the ramp. A 4-wheel drive will pull up to just fine, however a 2-wheel ends up spinning out no matter what due to the less accentuated grooves on the ramp compared to other launch sites.
Great place to fish. People ate always friendly.
Brother Pete and myself and dog bubba went fishing at sight six was windy, and alot of boats but we had fun...
Awesome place to launch
Not a swim spot but lots of bait fish
Great fishing area! Wish I had more time when I was here.
Beautiful site am going back slot seen a white herring very beautiful
Great town, nice views and food spots. great place to sit and watch the boats.
Excellent place to launch our boat.
Great spot for kids to learn how to fish
Nice and clean. Peaceful place with great views
The good part is its free. Its fairly protected from wind because its between a building and a hill. There are plenty of dumpsters so bring your trash back to the launch and plenty of room to wipe down and pull the plug. The bad starts with no control so everyone can do what they want which is okay most of the time, but some dont know what they are doing or etiquette to get done and move on. Next, the ramp is steeper than the rest, go slow backing in or your truck will also be a boat. The algae isnt cleaned off and since there is shade all afternoon it doesnt dry out. Wear shoes with traction or plan on falling. 4wd is almost mandatory to get a boat out of the water.Have fun, but be courteous.
There is a large fishing dock; slow bite today...great location on the island
Great place to enjoy the lake and watch the boats being launched and trailered. Also has a great fishing pier!
Very convenient and easy to use!
Easy in and out.
Its the only free boat launch on the island
Nice deep launch ramp but tricky entry for large vehicles.
Beautiful site 6!!
We could not get in the water the launch ramp needs repaired and not enough parking.
Easy to unload and load. Dont have to turn around. Nice area to tie up. Very clean area. The layout is spot on.
Clean and easy to launch.. ramp drops fairly quickly so be mindful
Heard horrible things about this place, most of it ended up being wrong. Ramps a little slick but very easy to access.
A place you have to see to believe how gorgeous sunsets can be!
Wonderful views and friendly people
Great place to visit and take the kids
Easy peasy
Its always good to go here launch is good docks are good restrooms clean
Some of the best fishing Ive ever seenFrom December to the middle of February the shad are on the cove. You can consistently catch 3 to 5 pound stripper small and large mouth bass
This is a free boat ramp and it is a great location to launch your boat or wave runners.
Not sure why this place is rated so high? Its free, so you get what you pay for but Ive been to other free boat ramps that were a much better experience. This one is too crowded for a three lane launch, and the ramp itself is in dire need of repairs. There is a ledge underwater that is in the right spot to grab the trailer tires and trap 2wd vehicles. 4wd is required if you are recovering anything bigger than a sea doo.
Free ramp, but slippery as all get out. Make sure you have good tires and 4 wheel drive would even be better.
Not overly crowded, but busy. The grounds were clean and upkeep is noticeable. Maintenance ppl were hard at work keeping the place presentable when I was there.
Was a great place for fishing. It was the perfect spot for my grandsons first time fishing, before we went on the boat the next day.
Long lines but quick once you get there
Nice quiet place to launch boats and fish for free!
Looks efficient
I launched at this site for the very first time late Saturday afternoon. Even at this time, it was busy. There are 3 lanes. If someone inexperienced is launching, there may only be room for 2. I launched fine and luckily when I trailered back up, I was able to get the middle lane. The side lanes can be slippery as I witnessed even large, beefy trucks have their tires spin, causing tons of smoke and giving a great show to the multitude of people who bring their chairs just to come and watch. If youre experienced, you shouldnt have any problems. If youre new, spend the $20 and launch at the marina. A lot easier and you wont have a crowd watching and waiting for you to make a mistake.
Well lit at night, porta-pottys available. Bring your own chairs if you like to sit down while you fish.
Its a free launch ramp, courtesy dock, fishing dock, beach, restroom, and fish cleaning station. Best to use on non-peak hours.
Great place for launching my pontoon!
