We always stop here when we are in town. Clean area, clean restrooms. Playground with slides, swings and climbing spots for kids. Covered shelters with BBQ grills. Basketball court and big fenced in dog run. Lots of parking. RVs and rogs with trailers will fit in the upper lot and its an easy walk down to the park.

My family spent a few days camping here recently, and it was breathtakingly beautiful! We parked in spot 16, which is a back in RV/Tent spot that had 30 Amp and water. We were about 50 paces from the water. I enjoyed getting up with the sun and picking up my kayak and hitting the water. The beach is rocky, but clean. Spots had nice picnic tables as well as hooks for garbage. There is also a dumping station on the park property. We did not use the restroom facilities due to covid, so I cant comment on them beyond the fact that they DID exist.

Small park, small cramped campground next to Lake Havasu. Busy roadway 100 yards or so from camping and public boat ramps are right next to campground. While I was there loud speed boats and jet skis constantly on lake by park beach. Was NOT a restful experience. But was clean. Will Not be returning.

The so called state park beach has a fee of $20 to get it, is not maintained and it’s definitely not sanitary with a ton of garbage and dead fish decomposing on the sand and water. Not to mention the horrible smell!! Not recommended especially if your taking your family. They should be ashamed to charge a fee and not clean all the garbage laying around, from flip flops, plastic bags, beer cans, dead birds, fisherman nets etc.. list goes on... wow ridiculous.

One of our best campground stays. If people could just pick up their own trash it would be perfect. Coming from California with broken wooden tables, no firepits unless rented, no canopies and unpaved rv spots... We were super happy to be back in Arizonas state parks. There is an outside theater area. The sites are paved, there are canopies and resin tables along with a garbage bag hook. It was not crowded albeit they may not have allowed maximum reservations due to corona virus. Not a knock on the campground just the people, you will find their litter everywhere.

My family had an amazing time at Lake Havasu, even though it was not our first choice of destination. I gave it a 4 star because the staff lacked sense of proper direction so we had to find our way around the park. But, I will recommend this place for a weekend getaway. Hope to return again in the near future.

We loved our stay, everything was great. Only issues we had were the amount of bugs at night made it impossible to do anything when the sun went down. People that work there are very nice and helpful. Nice big campsites we had 34 for a week, very nice sunsets. The only showers that work the best are the ones in the overflow camping,I would drive there for a long hot shower! They say dog friendly, but nope its not at all! All those beaches and not a single beach that a dog can touch, very sad. Other than that best camp around that area. Did I mention not dog friendly Easy walk to the London bridge and ferry to the casino on the other side.

All you can hear is the boats on the water, helicopters, and planes flying overhead. Also, if you’re planning on tenting make sure you have a stand alone tent or heavy duty stakes and a good hammer. Many families enjoying the beach and a friendly atmosphere; including the staff who are more than accommodating.Very close to numerous stores and restaurants.

I give this two stars not because of the park itself. The park is very clean and well kept. Overall the park is a five-star. The two-star is because of the way the park is run.We arrived on our reservation day apparently 1 hour early. The front desk office said we would have to wait the hour outside of the park before we could come into the park. since I had to dump my tanks I asked if I could just go to their dump station and do that while we waited for the 30 minutes. They said no we would have to pay the $15 park entrance fee. Ialso noticed by their front entrance is a very large parking lot that handles the boat trailers and trucks which bring boats onto the Lake Havasu State Park. it was very large and only about half full. I asked if we could just pull our RV into that parking lot and wait the hour until we could officially come in. Again they said we would have to pay the $15 if we wanted to wait. We ended up having to drive down the street and sit in a business parking lot for an hour and then return. it should be noted that there was nobody in our space that we were going to occupy during that time.We booked the park and extended our stay. Midway through our state we were supposed to move to another site. I went up to the front office and spoke to a female employee who said to come back early Saturday morning and they would see what they could do by speaking to the manager. Little after 7:00 a.m. the next morning I was at the front office and the manager was out front. He was courteous. When I asked him if he could let us stay in the spot we were in because we have a large rig with a lot of items, he made no attempt to see if we could even stay in our particular spot. All he said was is we do not modify the schedule. All it would have taken is 30 seconds for him to look at the computer. Even if he just said someone else is coming in our spot Id have been more satisfied instead of his one line of again, we dont change reservations.Later that night as we were in our RV we noticed another smaller RV pull onto our site and park behind our rig by the water. The front office personnel had told us previously that there is always someone at the front gate. I tried to call the front office but it went to an answering machine. I drove to the front gate to contact the ranger but nobody was there. I had to call the Lake Havasu City Police department. Their officer responded at the same time a park ranger showed up. They moved the people out of the hour lot. I was surprised since there was no security stopping anyone coming on the property that late at night.

From the shores of this park located on Lake Havasu in the City of Lake Havasu City you too can see sunsets like this if you are lucky enough to visit on a day with some clouds. But, be prepared to spend a few days here because clouds are scarce in this sunny desert paradise. The park is a very nice park with ample boat launching facilities and parking for your vehicle and trailer while you enjoy the lake. The RV park located on the premises is very nice and well cared for by the staff. Make your reservations well in advance because this park is extremely popular year around.

Not only is it a beautiful spot and gorgeous lake but the park its self was great. The state beach is pretty, clean and nicely maintained. If camping, I would for sure do it here. The prices were really low especially for a state park, and they have a lot of really nice amenities, including fresh water at your site. It also costs a few dollars to upgrade to camping on the beach. Very nice, I would come here and stay at the park during non-party season.
