Great SPORTS park with many fields for baseball and soccer in excellent condition plus basketball courts and so much more. Field house for indoor activities such as dance and gymnastics. The park also had two or more childrens playgrounds that were clean and nicely equipped. There were also several covered areas that were being used for parties, Lots of parking available with handicapped access available. Covered areas near the ball fields with comfortable seating.

It can be a bit of a tourist-trap, but its a great spot to hang out with your pooch.

The soccer fields had a rubberized coating with fake grass over it. Very easy on your joints and very nice surface to run on.

I like this place but in the afterschool program teen lounge. On my brothers birthday, on 3/11/19, a teen lounge leader JP was grabbing my arm and was yelling at me and he was having no empathy for my feelings and he told me I know better but I still dont know better. I dont want to be friends with JP anymore. Ill forgive him and me and JP are friends.

I was there for the pet expo. The parking was extremely limited, but the venue was nice. The park seemed well-kept with good facilities. There were several fields for various sports. I can see how it can get crowded on weekends.The pet expo was great. Lots of pet rescues came out as well as government organizations, Saddleback church, and pet food and other supply shops.

This park is just perfect for most activities including BBQ ing walking, jogging, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, basketball (including gym court). At the same time its design lets you go from side to side with just a short walk. The city provides several youth programs as well with a dedicated staff. Is always very clean, lighted until closing time at 10 pm. Love this park!

Great park for catching Pokemon. I think there were 4 Gyms, and at least 12 stops in the park. There are also, plenty of clean bathrooms, very important for an afternoon of Pokemon catching. Oh, theres also a ton of sports fields for soccer, baseball and basketball. A great playground to the little ones. Gotta catch em all!

This is the cleanest and nicest field Ive ever played on. It was so well designed, very spacious, and is well maintained. I hope it stays this way!

Went for a birthday party, the place is HUGE... Parked in Parking Lot 4 (looks like its for all the baseball field games) before I realized I needed to be in Parking Lot 5 (large soccer/football looking field with two generous sized pagodas where birthday boy had his BBQ and pinata all set up)

Great playground and sports fields. Picnic shelters are inexpensive to reserve. Lovely drought tolerant landscaping.

This sports park has nice softball fields. They also have covers over their stands which are nice. The playground is a good one for kids and is covered too. The only downside if there is one is that the covers they have on the dugouts for the sun dont allow for the breeze to get through. So it can get really hot in there.

2 nice turf soccer fields. Plenty of parking unless theyre having a showcase / tournaments etc. Then the parking is full and hard to find.

Great safe place to take all your kids, with play area with everything for little ones and has base ball diamonds, basketball, plenty of area to sit have a picnic . Very popular location get there early for good parking .

Last night I went to the astronomy night. It was amazing! They had a ton of crafts, photo booths and science activities! They also had a mobile observatory! I couldnt believe how long the line was. There were about a dozen other telescopes set up.We spent most of our time with the crafts.There were several Girl and Boy scout troops there of all ages!The astronomy night was out of this world!

This is a really nice park. My daughter played a club soccer tournament here. They have well shaded seating (byoc - bring your own chair) which makes the inland great more bearable. The field are well maintained and the bathrooms are kept clean.

The park is very big with so many things to do. Sometimes it is nice to go for a walk here since the walkway passed by all the different sports that take place here. They have soccer, baseball, tennis and other stuff. They also offer a lot of parking.

Has to be one of the most comprehensive parks of its kind in the entire USA. Full-size soccer fields with seating for over a hundred, 4 or 5 baseball diamonds, each equipped with walls, netting, bullpens, dugouts and seating, and multiple playgrounds. Lots of grass to run around. Public library take-a-book boxes. Full court outdoor basketball, 3 or 4 next to one another. Has an indoor rec center including a basketball gym thats open to Lake Forest residents. Centered in the middle of residential and commercial area, next to toll road and a police station.

Its a great place for children and families to visit and celebrate Birthdays for children.

A beautiful park with a lot of variety for all your sports needs. Only thing missing is a swimming pool but soccer, football, basketball, and I believe tennis is all covered. I may be missing some of the facilities so you have to experience it for yourself.

My son Ethan had one on one basketball practice with his coach James and I think the facilities are amazing for young kids who love the game of basketball

Great complex, has everything one needs. I play soccer and around this time our main field at Heroes Park closes fpr maintenance. In the past weve played on the turf fields but any soccer player can tell they prefer natural grass. This year fortunately theres a small grass section thats first come first serve, so weve beem there for the past few weeks. Its good grass as well.

Awesome place to go for a walk. Theres a nature trail that is beautiful and a challenge at first. The park is well kept, clean, no homeless people and dogs are required to be on a leash.

My brother took my toddler and I here to have play time. Wow I wish they had a park like this when I was little. It is possibly the cleanest park I have ever been to. Extremely well manicured and cared for. My brother told me that the guy that used to manage the skate park my nephew used to go to now manages this park. Great job!!!!! It was truly relaxing and beautiful. The parking was easy and plenty of spaces. It was easy to get to. They left no stone unturned with this park it had everything. The kids play areas were wonderful and many. The only thing I couldnt seem to find was a drinking fountain to fill my water bottle but I am sure I just didnt see it.

Unbelievable sports facilities. Pristine fields. We had the entire baseball field to ourselves to play some home run derby.

I took my 4 and 2 year old grandchildren to their childrens play area. When we arrived there were lots of little kids playing soccer. The childrens area had many little ones enjoying all kinds of equipment. The park is exceptionally clean, the plants and lawns are obviously well-cared for, and there is a very clean and convenient restroom in the rec center. There is alot of parking so you might want to drive around for a minute to see where you really want to park, rather than take the first spot and hike to a different area of the park. The city has really out done itself with this wonderful facility.

Lake Forest has a true gem of a park I like going with my kids and walking around or enjoy the kids playground. The only thing I dont like is that bicycles share the walk space with people that are walking I think they should make a separate bike lane.

Awesome park for soccer, basketball and softball/baseball

I come here on Sundays for adult league soccer games. There are a couple great turf fields, a kids jungle gym, covered seating, grass fields, etc. Its got it all. Parking is copious and free. Theres public restrooms that, while not the most clean, work as youd expect (its a public park, what do you expect?)

I actually worked here once for the summer and this park is great! This park has everything to offer a community such as the City of Lake Forest. It has everything under the sun from a 27,000 Sqft gymnasium/community center to five baseball fields, and two playgrounds! The programming and events they offer at the sports park are also very good. If you are looking for a good place to run the kids, exercise, or have a Sunday family picnic, then the sports park is the place you need to visit!

This park is now one of my favorites for baseball. My grandsons play travel ball and this was my 1st time here. Its clean, has shaded bleachers and is easy in & out. Only reason I didnt give 5 ? Is on the hottest weekend on record (105 @ 5pm) the snack bar wasnt open. I talked with locals and they said it was never or rarely opened.

This place is great to walk your dog, but there should be signs posted stating the California leash law. Some people will walk their dog off leash.

Located at the corner of Portola Parkway and Rancho Parkway in the southeast sector of the city, the 86-acre LAKE FOREST SPORTS PARK AND RECREATION CENTER is ultimate park experience for active and passive recreation, with something for all ages and all interests. In a couple of words it is impressive, awesome, modern, clean, safe, and free, plus parking for 500 cars. It would take pages to describe the facilities, fields, playgrounds, and trails at the park, the sports tournaments, summer concerts, and the classes and special events in the recreation center.

I have lived in LAKE FOREST before the park opened,this is by far the best community,sports park I have ever experienced. So well planned.

This is a top notch park. I have two toddlers and there are plenty of things for both of them to do. The big plastic merry go round is a huge hit every time we are here. We also have donated to/and borrowed from the little out door birdhouse library (It looks kind of like a large birdhouse).The community center there is great as well. We have taken quite a few parent+me classes and my kiddos always have a lot of fun and its a VERY good price.

This park is huge! There are 5 baseball diamonds, 1 indoor basketball court, 2 outdoor courts, 2 full size soccer pitches, and w large flat grass areas. The landscaping around the perimeter is very well done. Its a great place to walk as well as play. Plentiful parking too.
