My son has been attending acting and singing classes here for over a year. Natalie and her staff really know their stuff. They have guided us in the process of the business and they have given my son quality training in his pursuit of being an actor. Even if he didnt want to be an actor, he has honed life skills such as public speaking and boosted his confidence. They love their students and work really hard to help make dreams a reality for aspiring actors. We love them all. Natalie is amazing. -Special shout outs to Brianne, Kyle, Riley, and Ms. Barbara!
My 2 sons had a blast during last summer at their camps. Very professional. It is amazing what they can put together in a week. Shows were unbelievable, kids were so excited.
I really have to give it up to The Performers Academy for the confidence that their diverse classes have given me. Although acting isnt my passion, the skills I learned from different classes have helped me in all realms of life. All of the staff really know what theyre doing; so knowledgable. They really care about your success and your dreams. Natalie and Brianne are an inspirational duo, they run this place in such a seamless manner. I highly recommend ANY of their classes to adults AND children.
My daughter and her best friend love taking musical theater camps at The Performer’s Academy. The teachers are highly qualified. They always make the experience fun. They can’t wait for class to start.
Truly work to get the best out of each of their up and coming actors. Good place to begin building a resume.
Great place if your kid is into acting. My both kids love the camps.
This is the best acting school ever. My son loves coming here. He has made friends and loves the teachers. This is his home away from home. All the children are taught to work together and cheer each other on. This school teaches a sense of self and builds self confidence. My son had to do an oral report in 2nd grade. A parent volunteer told me that he ran away with the class. 3rd grade play. 4 different parents tapped me on the shoulder to compliment my sons self confidence.. This comes from the various acting classes he has taken. The owner Natalie has put her heart and soul into this business. She reaches out on behalf of her students. In addition to running this business, she gives back to the community. All in all, this has been a positive experience for us.
Ve been a student here for years and LOVE it! Everyone there feels like family to me. Pamela Peak is a passionate, gifted and talented director. I highly recommend The Performers Academy to anyone who wants to learn or improve their acting skills.
I enrolled my daughter in the Beauty and Beast Play summer camp. While the play itself was good, for the one line my daughter got to say, the fee charged seemed to be highly unreasonable. Its understood that the key roles in any play are limited, other than 4-5 main roles, I am not convinced how they could justify enrolling the other 10 kids? Why would you not have lesser kids so each kid can play multiple roles.. How do you plan to help kids with acting interest improve when you assign only one line and charge parents $230 for a 5 day summer camp... Highly unconvincing and unjustified!
My daughter and son have been taking classes for several years. Initially it was my daughter idea, as she is the performer of the family. My son has always been shy. My daughter flourished in her classes. She studies with Jeff Celentano, Pamela Peak & Johnny Timko. I was impressed by their resumes. These people have done some amazing work in the industry, big films with major stars and won major awards. After bringing my daughter for a while, Brianne suggested that I let my son try a class. He was reluctant at first, but he went into Johnnys class and I had my fingers crossed. Well that was an amazing two hours! He loved it and now hes hooked. It has completely changed him. Hes not shy anymore. His teachers asked me what the heck have I done to Jason! Serious, I cannot say enough good things about this group. Their classes are amazing. Their pricing is beyond easy on your budget. They work with you with your schedule. The teachers are INCREDIBLE!!! Their summer camps are fun too. When we can fit it in during the summer - we book a week or two. Our family loves The Performers Academy.
Without exception, every one of their students I have spoken with, has been happy with their experiences here. I have attended several performances at The Performers Academy and each time, I left with a big smile on my face. Several of the students have launched their acting and singing careers from this very place, mainly because of the great connections the owner and instructors enjoy with talent seekers from Los Angeles.
As per my daughter, classes are boring. We live close enough that we thought wed give this a shot because our child really loves to act. She is also a dancer. Unfortunately, we quickly realized that this wasnt for her.The classes are repetitive and low energy. The teachers dont really care about the kids having fun. So, she simply hates it. Also they tell you they help you get an agent, but I havent met any family whose kids got hired by one! I have to say that because our kid hates it, we werent there for very long. But its all seems really pointless. BY the way, once you pay them, they keep your money.
I’m going to be really honest...if your child loves to perform...enroll here. That’s it. Stop googling and going in circles reading reviews and filtering “by relevance” or “by rating”. The Performer’s Acadmy is about enriching your child(ren)’s aptitude for performing; not to make any more money than they need to pay the bills. My daughter LOVES taking classes here and feels supported, challenged, and comfortable working her craft. Period. Done. That’s a wrap.
Love this place! Its like a second home where kids and teens can have fun and learn! I would recommend it to anyone who has kids that want to build their self confidence and or learn the craft of acting!
Bringing on excitement as Orange Countys premiere acting school, The Performers Academy offers incredible opportunities for adults and children exploring the art of theater and acting. The environment is friendly and warm. A must for those seeking something unique to add in personal growth and development.
The classes are boring and repetitive and my son doesnt want to go back. He has always wanted to be on TV so we wanted to try this place. Unfortunately he didnt enjoy the classes, although he did enjoy the small plays. We are away for the summer and I asked him if he wanted to go back and he said no way, they are too boring!. Stick to the plays.
Dont ever do a contract with this academy, the teacher bullied my son and they stole my money.
My 8 year old son wanted to do some acting classes so i found The Performance Academy. He was so excited and ready to give it a try. I signed him up in November 21, 2015 for two classes and I paid for first and last month of $400.00 per their requirements. After my son started the classes he immediately became fearful of one of his teachers. My son said that he was yelled at on several occasions. He yelled at my son in an aggressive way to shut up and to get out of here just because he showed up a couple minutes early before the prior class ended. My son was so intimidated he wanted to quit. I went into the office the 2nd week of December to consult with Barbara about the situation and that I wanted to cancel because of it. Barbara stated that its just his personality and suggested that my sone drop that one class and keep with the other one as she stated my son has so much potential. My son went back but nothing had changed and he begged me to take him out of their classes altogether. I then I went into their office and spoke with the owner Natalie directly because Barbara was busy. Natalie and I talked face to face and she agreed that I will NOT BE CHARGED in January because of my complaints. Natalie also suggested that my son should give it one more try in January since Ive already paid for the last month and he was supposedly so talented and doing so well. I trusted her advice but I now regret it 100%.The owner Natalie seemed so positive and nice at first and willing to be flexible with us to keep us enrolled. But when it came obvious that it wasnt going to work, her attitude changed and she backed out of her word. She was so rude to me and refused to return the January charge that she agreed we wouldnt be charged, claiming I signed an agreement requiring me to cancel 30 days prior.Natalie and Barbara are so unprofessional. They will lie to you and they simply cant be trusted. I am so disappointed with the way their staff verbally abused my son and his other classmates. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. All they want is your money and they will tell you whatever you want to hear despite the situation or the truth.
My son did a play there this summer and he did a really good job on it! The Performers Academy helps him get what he wants in the future!
They are unprofessional at all I dont like there way and they are scam I dont recommend to any one
