Totally a hidden gem of a lake / beach ... meaning the water I didn’t feel that residue from the salt water like other beach’s . This water was not clear to see the bottom of floor.That didn’t stop me from enjoying the water . I still swam and had so much fun playing in the water ! Totally family peaceful vibe. The water was perfect temperature . I liked how secluded I felt being here to have a private beach to myself . Picnic tables near the restrooms. Easy to find parking . I would come back ! I loved watching the sunset .

His is a review for the whole of Lake Elsinore. Im forced to pick a location so I chose the beach.In a word... rundown.We recently rented a home on the outskirts of town for our yearly family vacation. The home and its owners were great. No complaints there.The rest of the town, on the other hand, just has a sketchy, one horse town vibe. Lots of closed businesses, etc.My wife was inappropriately approached while we were there. She was alone, inflating pool toys at the big local gas station and a man came up to her from behind and bumped his groin into here butt.I gave it a star for the clear water and fish at the beach, and another for the loveliness of the house we stayed in.Overall, you can give this city a skip.

It is a nice Beach area just a lot of homeless people living around it now

I think this would be a better tourist or nice attraction if it wasnt for all the homeless that hang out here. Doesnt feel safe enough to take my family here. Looks pretty, but definitely sketchy in certain areas, would love to be able to enjoy this local spot. But not until the homeless is dealt with.

The beach is beautiful but there are alot of homelessness. The less fortunate ones were all over the open park area. Some were walking around. We decided not to get out of the car. We just looked at the water.It is too bad the city cant help the homeless ones. At least there wasnt any tents up yet. It was still pretty early afternoon.

Don’t even bother going here. Took my little kids down in hopes of finding a nice beach to play and have a picnic. This place is covered in transients. Did not feel safe at all and didn’t even bother getting out of the car. It’s sad because this could be a beautiful lake and a beautiful family spot. Will not ever come back.

Sandy lake beach with some picnic tables. Saturdays and Sundays can be crowded in the summer but usually pretty empty. Not very clean and the lake is green, being the only natural lake in Southern California, at a low elevation and shallow. Fine to swim in but mostly fishing around the lake.

Great place to go and hang out on the beach, family friendly and free. Being a lake theres no waves and the water is fairly clean, definitely cleaner than it used to be. Parking is kinda limited, but if you find a spot its super close to the sand and there is no charge for regular parking. There are some property owners nearby that offer parking for a fee. Bring an umbrella or other source of shade because it gets hot in the direct sunlight. Theres at least one set of restrooms.

Nice walk down peaceful bike path to this quiet and peaceful spot! Great place for a spontaneous change in dinner plans by packing a simple picnic and getting a break from kids technology obsession! Makes easy and safe family bonding activity!

Nice public beach with access to water and mountain view. Pros: free parking, I think the parking mightve rather tight on a busy weekend. There were 4 open restrooms on the west end of the beach (its ~5 minute walk from the other side). Easy access to water without deep sand, and the water entrance is good for kids (at least first ~20ft/5-7m). Water was lukewarm. Cons: no showers, not even a single tap to wash the sand off your feet. The water was green and not transparent at all. Its a common thing for lake with random water plants, but you never know if its healthy or not. Swimming as sport was not allowed, just getting into water up to chest level.Summary: good place to visit, just have appropriate expectations.

Very pretty, great potential, but so dirty! Trash everywhere, on the beach, on the grass, in the parking lot. It was pretty gross.

They seem to always have a lot of trash on this beach. The bathrooms are usually pretty horrifying. They have a few gazebos and picnic tables, but theyre usually dirty. This beach has good potential. Just needs some TLC.

The Lake has a swim area for the kids. Shady trees for those hot days. Lots of parking. You couldnt go fishing or boating here at the lake. They have beautiful sunsets. Beautiful view of the mountains.

Beautiful Beach that not many know about. Sand beach with fire pits, sand volleyball nets, nice grass area, beautiful palms and the sweet sounds of singing birds. All this coupled with the Santa Ana Mountains as a backdrop make this a beautiful place.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. They have benches with covers for a hot day.As well as fire pits . However there is some shady people there, so maybe not be there to late. It is right by the police station so it should be pretty safe.

Not a good beach, expected to be able to swim but couldnt, mostly due to the algae. The lake was pretty green and the beach itself was not very nice or clean. Very disappointing.

So gross green dirty and nasty... dead fish by the shore. So many homeless and it smells nasty. No shade.

My fam and I loved this lake!!! Quiet and beautiful sunset. Not very big and overcrowded and we went on a sunday. Will definately be going back and way closer to the beach only 35 min from moreno valley

Beautiful scenery, if youre going to see birds (like I was going to), best to go in the earlier morning. I went around 10-11 and still saw a lot of pelicans and shore birds so definitely not a waste of time. The lake was smelly and mustve just turned over it was green so I didnt walk along the shoreline. But theres a nice area for swimming with lifeguards on duty! Worth going to see!

Take a walk on the lake early in the morning. Lots of birds. For me best at sunrise or sunset. When the birds are there mixed with the reflections very beautiful. Bring your camera. As you walk there are so many interesting views.

Me and my kids luv Coming here. But Everytime i GO i ALWAYZ see drug needles. One was in the Porta potty and an other was on the floor laying in the sand where my 3yr old was walking. So everytime i bring my kids i ALWAYZ CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE MY KIDS GET OFF MY VAN. Its a shame that such a BEAUTIFUL place can be so Dangerous. Dont go to much anymore. But when we do. We ENJOY.

Great place to get away and get some beach right here in the Inand Empire. It was clean, calm water, sand and picnic tables. You can ride jet skis and small boats on the lake. Beautiful mountain views.

Elm Grove Beach is a great place for enjoying a bonfire with friends on a moonlit night. You can also catch some nice sunsets there. Just dont try to catch any fish or het into the polluted water.

The water is warm and you can go fishing too

First time there . Was quite good picnic spot . Little bit green and there was a algae warning. There was a lot of people on the water good for boats, jet skis the fishing not sure about what they did Supply signs with fish types in limits. At this time of year September October was in the 70s.

I havent been to Elsinore in twenty something years. I cant believe how it had changed. The lake doesnt smell anymore. The beach was very clean and easily accessible. We will definitely be returning more often since we have gotten back into boating.

Took a short walk along the beach. It was pleasant, although the weather was cool, so we didnt stay long.

Lovely place to bring the family, vert clean, booth area by the entrance for picknic along with free street side parking on a one way street. This is not a busy site so there are usually parking space.

One of the best kept secrets of Lake Elsinore great crowd spray people good music at a nice time on the 4th, lots of families lots of kids.Parking can be rough if you have to be there you better get there real early on big weekends. How many people set up right when its illegal to open but theres plenty of room and the city does a nice job of maintaining it

Its a good place to go and take your family ️️ ️ and you can also clear your thoughts and mind as well i love to see every thing out there and visit and you can catch a fish and your family can have a great time you can also BBQ on the beach

Free parking but beach is not real clean

The water to look at is nice. But the water is not healthy to swim in. The signs r helpful. The families need to value themselves and their children when using this lake.The water when the ski jets stir up waves is dirty brown. I would fish there ONLY TO THROW THE FISH BACK! I WOULD NEVER CONSUME THE FISH. HIKING AROUND THE LAKE FOR RECREATION,BUT STAY CLEAR FROM ENTERING THE WATER! YOUR HEALTH SHOULD BE HIGH PRIORITY. GOD BLESS & THANK U.

The City of Lake Elsinore in conjunction with Just Yoga is offering free sunset yoga classes through July 26 on Thursdays. There is a nice shady, grassy area to set up mats where yogis can enjoy the breeze, lake, and gorgeous sunsets while doing yoga. Its a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it. Elm Grove Beach is also a nice picnic/play area for families.

It was pretty quiet when we went. My daughter enjoyed herself. The sand near the bench where were had a lot of cigarette butts so that knocked the rating down for me.

The grounds are kept pretty nice and they have good security but the lake is not the nicest like in the world. I wouldnt want to get any of its water on me. But it is glass smooth in the mornings and evenings and makes for quite a beautiful sunrise and sunset
