Its amazing they need to updated the skate park make a track around the place but its fun.

The skate park is the best skate park around. Bowl, grinds, stairs, palm trees n sunshine.

They should update the opening hours during Covid. It’s Saturday, 10 am, supposed to be opened and everything is closed !

Bathrooms need some attention.The park is awesome.

Indoor pool, skate park, park for kids, indoor gym, and track but the best part is the $1 classes including yoga! If you are a seasoned yogis, you have to give Buti yoga a try. Literally sculpted my body!

(My Opinion) Ward 3 built a very nice skatepark for everyone to go to and enjoy other then (BMX) Riders. This is the only skatepark in the city of Lake Charles Louisiana so why not allow it? So many kids growing up get into riding BMX and have dreams it’s a Olympic sport! But how can they pursue those dreams when they have nowhere to ride. The (streets) are dangerous drugs,gang related,drivers and more it’s endless. And where can they ride that allows it in Lake Charles that’s safe? It’s been proven BMX does NOT damage a skatepark more then skateboards. Ward 3 does have rules for the skatepark but not followed at all I have plenty PROOF!! But BMX is the only one they take serious. I can go on with so many things on this subject and this skatepark but open yalls eyes and see what it’s causing in the local community for kids. Make the right choices let everyone be equals and SAFE! (ALLOW BMX) everyone should share this or support this matter. Thank You

So far this is the best gym I have ever used. Its small yet has everything for every muscle group and fitness level. And for a really great price. Beats Planet fitness hands down!!

This is a very nice place to work out. Now they have two pools; one for therapy or water aerobics and the other is a lap pool. Very nice!

Nice place for family and friends to get together

I like ward 3 because it is a wide open facility for kids and adults, exercise and play, outdoor activities, tennis court, softball field, and indoor pool. The whole family will find something to enjoy!

Over all it is great facility. There are big sink holes near the side walk that are very dangerous. There is a serious need for more lighted fields to handle the number of people that need use of soccer fields.

My kids really like the skate park here

I love that the recreation center is so close to my home. Cant wait till the pool open in September thats when Ill join. I love my neighborhood and the surrounding area where I live because everything is so convenient.

Great exercising facility! Great trainer there name Bobby King he is 70 plus years old in top condition and he is not big headed about it but he wants to help everyone and will give you simple solutions to help you reach your goal.

Great site, low water pressure is the MAJOR ISSUE! We must FLUSH and wash hands.

So there was 5 minutes left before the building closes to the public and I was refused a basketball because the lady behind the window was ready to go. I explained to her that I didnt even want to play, my daughter was trying to get a picture with her brother holding the ball on the court. It was a picture for a school project for yearbook club. This picture would have taken all of a minute. Why dont people just do the jobs they are paid for. If your sign says sat 11-2 give me a ball till your shift ends.

The rec facility Lake Charles needed when I was a child. A free, multi-recreational complex with both indoor and outdoor activities for aĺl ages. Built on a large plot of land that will continue to be developed on. Please, support and take care of this place!
