We went here right after the opened up after Hurricane # 2 and honestly dont think they were ready to open up yet. I understand if Golden Nugget opens up than think you have to but why risk it.You got alot of the musty smell throughout the halls and we were lucky to actually have a room when we got there thanks to their customer service and front desk. Hopefully Lake Charles recovers because they have been put through the ringer.

The food was descent at best. The waitress we had at Southern Kitchen was very inattentive even having to ask for basic things like a straw for drinks or butter for toast. Our room smelled like smoke, both tobacco and recreational smoke. The carpets were stained and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. There was a lotion bottle outside of our door and never moved from the time we checked in until leaving. There was always trash spotted in the middle of the hallways. And to top it off housekeeping decided it was necessary to be on speaker phone talking to a friend, or at least I assume a friend, because I couldn’t imagine talking to her supervisor that way. The only other complaint I have is the inability to purchase a soda from the soda machine. It only took $1 bills. You would think a place such as L’Auberge that it would at least take credit cards or even $5/$10. I don’t feel the price of a luxury room matched what we actually got. The only people that actually impressed us were the dealers at the tables. They were pretty awesome!! And it wasn’t because we were winning. I’ve never lost so much money at a Casino.

Awesome! Room was very nice. But NO refrigerator and microwave. Bring warm clothes...they keep the hotel and casino very cold!

Amazing resort they clean it well. Masks required everywhere except when eating or drinking. 25$ minimum bets on most table games at night. I highly recommend this place.

Had a great time. Although they did not disclose there was a per day charge for the use of the pool and other amenities. The birthday mini package was unexpected. Really friendly staff.

I always have a lot of fun here! Super friendly staff and awesome perks. I havent won anything big yet but I really enjoy my time here. The food is great as well and the property is beautiful. I havent stayed the night yet but I look forward to in the future.

The staff is nice and the waitress are seen a lot in the high limit area.When your not in the high limit area, the waitress are not seen as much.Had a good time enjoyed getting away.

If ya ever visit make sure you go to the pool area. Just beautiful tropical paradise. Hotel room was excellent. Very clean and comfy. Casino has many slot machines and table games. Social distancing everywhere on the property. Masks worn by staff and guests required to wear in and out of the property and in restaurant and casino. I felt very safe.

This casino has one floor, nice selection of machines and tables. Everyone seemed to be very friendly and polite. I didnt have to wait long for my drinks. It just had a real comfortable feel.

Clean and plenty of plexiglass in between slot machines. Kind and courteous staff. Machines are more loose than other Casinos. Enjoyed my stay at the Hotel too.

Stayed at the hotel in a room that a friend got comp. Room was nice enough. Nothing fancy. Kind of upset the rooms dont have a microwave or fridge. Cant keep leftovers, etc. Had an issue with the tub drain and facilities was on it in minutes, so that was impressive. Restaurants here are pretty good, though pricey. Youre pretty much looking at tables with minimum bids of $25 and higher here, even during the week. Nice casino though. We had several dealers and really liked them all. Not a bad one in the bunch. The pool area is great too. Nice lazy river and an adults only pool with a bar, though the drinks are really pricey there.

Horrible experience multiple times. The front desk staff is so unhelpful and every time you have an issue its not their fault or some policy. They couldnt help with altering reservations so I called reservations who told me to talk to the front desk. Then they told me to come to the front desk.... I was calling to have everything squared away before we got there. Once there we had to wait over an hour for some paperwork to process in their system. If you stay here dont expect help or anything resembling it. The only person that did anything to assist us was Maria in reservations. Shout out to her, 5 for Maria.... wish I could 0 stars the hotel itself.

Terrible housekeeping services. Asked for refrigerator upon arrival for medications, no coffee in room, and was told it would be delivered to room...it never showed, called front desk and was disconnected. Housekeeping were loud in the hallway, and rooms have no soundproofing. 1st morning was awakened by neighbors alarm at 5:30 that did not go off until we called front desk to call their room. Was told pool opened at 8, but by 10 it still was not open. After 2 days asked for towels and trash to be removed was told they dont do that unless you work there. Paying customers have to put them out in morning...had to chase down housekeeping for towels, front desk should inform at check-in. No waiters in casino during day. We went there to relax, dropped money in casino, yet felt like we were at a less than economy motel. The lack of food services was disappointing, with only 2 restaurants with such limited menus, and open only in the evenings. Valet service was excellent.

Slots were extremely tight. The staff was super friendly though and the establishment was extremely clean! They have dividers between slots to help with social distancing. Masks were required unless taking a drink, smoking or making breathing more easy for a couple minutes. The establishment itself is beautiful!

Resort pool area is not in full operation, alot of things are being rennovated or closed due to covid. Most game slots are the same nothing new in the past year. Charges an amenity or resort fee 15$/ night and half the stuff closes early ot not in operation at all. Rooms need a makeover and a fridge very basic cable, no valet either or shuttle (probably from covid)

Love this casino! My favorite place to get away to and spend all my hard earned money! Staff is always superb and its always easy reserving a room. Their mychoice program is amazing and filled with perks and free money to start the night with.

Room is very very dated. Wood is chipped, vinyl is torn and worn, The pattern on the carpet is worn off and faded. Room looks like it was furnished from a 60s thrift store. Restaurants and stores are 5 Star.

From the floor managers, pit bosses, dealers and entire staff everyone was great! Plenty choices of food on site that makes everything easy and our room was wonderful. We did a four day in an out. Pool was also great and we loved to kick back in the lazy river. I rate this a five and will say its a no brainer if you plan on staying in the lake Charles area. Golf course was awesome also! We cant wait to go back!

My previous host would have comped my food if I spent under $1000 for the weekend. Lauberge du lac..... you lost a loyal 15 year customer for the way I was treated this weekend. I’m sure Golden nugget will be very happy to gain me now as much as I spend a year. I spend well over $100k a year with you and I get comped $100 on food!!! What a joke.

We stayed next door at the Nugget but after we visited the Lambarge we realized we should have checked into staying here instead the staff is super nice and helpful. Plus they were way more reasonable on their prices.

Loved it! Great eat, nice shopping, very clean. Over all I had a great time.

Everything was nice considering they are still recovering from 2 hurricanes. The limited hours and menus were a disappointment for the casino and restaurants. The rooms are starting to show wear and tear and we still had trash from a previous guest in our room which was a concern but they promptly took care of it.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. They have all the best machines and the choices for food were decently broad. I always enjoy my stay here. 5/5 would recommend.

The little cafe mear the pool is great for breakfast or lunch.I love playing digital craps, they have plexiglass between each seat for covid safety.The only issue I had was finding a cocktail waitress.

We booked a room for a birthday. Clean room with a good view of the pool. Overall nice staff with the exception of one person who was checking people into the casino. His tone was abrupt and he had no smile. We enjoyed the lazy river however the adult pool water was noticeably very dirty. There were all kinds of things floating around in there. Had to get out earlier than we wanted to because of it. Received a complimentary substitute for their birthday cupcake since they were out, which was a nice gesture. Overall, things went well. Had fun.

Strict adherence to mask wearing and social distancing in hotel and casino. Very good Asian restaurant. Great service by staff. Whats not to like.

We used to Love Golden Nugget, but they have went way down. Here we felt better and more clean!! My friend stayed at the Nugget and they had dog poop outside their door. So definitely staying here at LAuberge from now on !!

Great resort to spend the time with the wife. The place is very clean and very neat. The service is excellent wherever you go. First time in a casino. I cannot compare to others, but my experience at this casino was spectacular. Great place!

Completely disappointed, not enforcing mask, they have a awesome high tech temp system but letting people in with temp over 100! Plex guards at the slots are a joke! There is maids only clean after you check out but they will bring you towels if needed.

They always take care of me very well. Did have issues with my cabana and reservation last time but both were fixed. I will be seeing them again on the 10th can’t wait and please please have my correct room type this time. Will continue to come back and become an even higher member.

Wonderful stay. Velvet in reservation was excellent with great customer service. Made our stay extra special. Our room had drainage issues from bathtub. Enjoyed our stay.

As usual This is one of my favorite places to visit when Im in lake charles....however during my last visit the restaurant and the amenities was lacking.......Im sure it has something to do with the latest storm but was charged for amenities that was not available ....the slots seem a bit tight ......the room was too choice.....if they worked getting the amenities up and running will give them a higher rating

The security guards as well as security managers were extremely incompetant. They were unable to read and identify a Texas ID in a timely manner. Furthermore, to make matters worse they decided to take my friend into the backroom to interrogate him with additional questions which makes the experience into a profiling subject because my friend was black. They did not explain the situation and did not apologize at the end. Idiots.

Me and my wifey love this place. We take our small vacations here. Food is great we have fun and plus play tables and the lazy pool and adults pool is great..we meet new people every time from all over.

Awesome Casino is all I can say. Proper checks for temperature upon entry, masks required and people cleaning all the time. Another fun weekend and came out ahead on the new electronic craps table.

The lazy river is lots of fun. They dont allow outside food or drinks in the pool area. Your can purchase food from the modern pantry and bring it out though.

Drove all the way from Texas just to be told that my 26 year old husband ID was questionable and not allowed in. Even After he answered multiple questions that the rude manager asked him and answered them all correctly. We have gone multiple times without problem. Will never go back down.

Great place to stay and escape the summer heat in Louisiana. They have good procedures in place for Covid and the entire experience was awesome. All of the staff was helpful and friendly although the drink service was slow, but it was a packed Saturday night. The pool and lazy river are great attractions and I cant wait to try the golf course.

Great staff! My husband and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary here. All the staff, including the dealers on the casino floor, were super friendly, helpful, and happy. The hotel room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean. We are for sure coming back again and again!

Beautiful lazy river pool area. Reminds us of the Guam Hyatt. Pool bar. Adult pool separate. Beautiful lobby decorated for Chinese New Year...and we won a little. Newer machines and favorites like Lil Red and Spartacus. Shuttle goes between two casino resorts.

I love the atmosphere of this hotel. They have a very friendly staff. The casino is great and you cant smell the cigarette smoke. The pool area is phenomenal!! This is a great place.

First of all, its been a while since I stayed over, the rooms were excellent, from reserving to checking out and all between. The Front desk ck in reps were courteous, professional and were very willing to be of assistance and meet our needs. There were a small group and wanted to be near each others rooms. Lovely relaxed rooms, housekeepers were great. The staff on the floor was kind and understandable, also patient(I use Oxygen, etc) it was a slight bit of difficulty getting bottles of water each time I was on the floor. The cashiers were very pleasant, and caring also. Really appreciate all the changes that I could see pertaining to care with the virus. One of the eateries I dined at was Mordern Pantry, I think, they were even kind, patient, service with a smile and the Philly steak was SO delicious, I ordered another the same exact way. Everything was wonderful, Thank you for the extra care and comfortability you should to myself and my family. See you soon.

Great vacation spot, this was our fist time with LAuberge. The kids had a blast at the pool and lazy river. We ate at Asia, which was good and had big portions. Gaming layout was simple to navigate with awesome dealers.

Clean rooms and casinos. Winning machines, waitstaff brings drinks quickly. Hosts are the bomb! Try Ember and Asia restaurants ..plan ahead before you get hungry

Wouldnt even consider accepting a VALID federal ID when state one was expired DUE TO PANDEMIC and TX DPS being closed and giving a 6 month extension on all forms of identification. Golden Nugget and Coushatta accepted us without a problem but its unfortunate that we spent our money staying at Lauberge overnight. Never again. :)

I stay at this hotel all the time and spend so much money everytime Im there. My birthday is Sunday 11/1 and wanted to spend the weekend but they wouldnt comp me for Saturday. I was very disappointed I thought an exception could be made this once. I did give 2 stars anyway cause i know they accomodated first responders due to tge storm.

We had several issues with our room, and the vending machines on our floor were sold out. I brought our issues to the attention of management at check out time, and they promptly apologized and comped our room, without any fuss. This was the first time Ive ever been so unsatisfied that I had to address it with staff, and thankfully, they made it much easier than I anticipated.

The restaurant was above board. The food, wine selection & service was incredible. The stay was also fantastic. I’d forgotten to review this gem & the photos popped up in my memories. It’s a review I had to come back and do. I highly recommend to everyone & would visit again. I rarely give five stars. That says a lot that I have. I’d have reviewed sooner except I was travelling so much I didn’t get many done. This place certainly helped revive me, to say the least!

Most Casinos say you can win, well at this one you actually win big. Plus, if you get too cold inside there is both an open to the public beach and private pay beach in the back to relax.

Pool was fun and had a lot of lifeguards which is good when you have kids but the room was dirty, restroom look like the casino was a 100 yers old.

Very nice casino. It was my husbands and I first time at a casino and we were pleased. Smoking is allowed here but crazy enough, it doesnt stink like cigarettes. Only downside is no real variety for food if you get hungry after 11pm. Only one restaurant open after 11.

For the money, you could spend that money at a better kept hotel. We pulled in to the parking garage and noticed the smell of one of the restaurants that makes everything so tempting from the start. Grilled meats filled the air. I immediately noticed walking in that its very dark inside, giving the feeling of an old lodge in the mountains, perhaps hence the name and also an idea of that inn being near or on a lake in the mountains. The smell of roses or magnolias takes over because the casino is full of smokers. It takes me back to my childhood where thats all you breathe. Many of the slots are very old and left alone. Most people were on the digital slots with several lines to hit and win. I waited for newer ones like the Walking Dead but there were only three. Any new ones were taken for hours. If youre a penny or dollar gambler, theres plenty. We headed to the room after checking in. The Persian rugs are ripped and shredded in some areas, the few stores they have are nice, the restaurants pricey of course. The rooms are also dark and gloomy but somewhat typical of some older hotels. Dried spills of cleaner was left on the wall by the toilet but the bathroom setup is nice even with the door getting stuck. The room looks dated with avocado green headboards. We checked out the arcade and its very small and expensive. Every game is a dollar. No coins can be used. One of the claw machines was easy to win. The pool area is the best part of the hotel. Its clean and you dont pay to rent the inner tubes. My kids had a blast. Theres top 40 dance music playing which wasnt completely appropriate for kids but they didnt notice. The food at the Ember restaurant was decent. I had the pan roasted fish which tasted like I was given a plate of melted butter boiled in more butter. It began to make me sick. The mash tasted like butter and the fish had no other flavor than butter. The only flavor change were the asparagus. The steaks were okay but the dipping sauce was extremely salty and just too much. My son loved the crispy chicken though. For $19, youd think youd get more than a handful of large shrimp and a lemon as an app but no. Severely overpriced. The lamp lollipops were good but Ill hardly remember them when thinking of Lake Charles. Southern Kitchen was just okay too. Another overpriced restaurant with only decent flavors. Unfortunately the power went out and everything began running on generators. My seafood omelette couldnt be made so I was given a choice of gumbo or sandwiches. I chose gumbo. It was chicken and andouille. Small spice and salty. Also, Id like to mention that our rooms did not come with info on the stores in the hotel and only one menu for room service for Southern Kitchen and the Asian restaurant. I wish they had menus for all but mentioned which ones have room service. This would help guests determine where to go before walking around and looking at menus. Also, info on surrounding stores, downtown stores and restaurants, museums, tours, etc would help. None of that was available in the room like it is for other hotels. The tiny beach they have is a nice spot where you can play in the water some and look at the sunset. Kids can bring beach toys and parents can sit at the nearby tables or bring your own chairs. Theres also a walking path to Golden Nugget.Im glad theres a late night store open for quick eats and coffees. Unfortunately, you will have no microwave to eat in your room if youre in a rush. No fridge in your room either for leftovers. This makes it difficult for families with kids when they dont eat all their food or need their bottles cooled. If you eat at one of the restaurants, stuff it all in because you cant take it to go.

Staff was great with answers and very polite/professional. Casino was fun for our day trip but wanted to stay longer. A nice gentleman gave us free tickets 8th row to see Marie Osmond live in concert at the casino!

Casino is not up to a 4star standard. The hotel staf is at best a 2 star staff. We are linemen working the hurricane and have been treated with more disrespect than ever. I would not reccomend this pla e to anyone ever.
